Has enabled seamless integration across platforms while supporting advanced analytics for customer insights
Microsoft Dynamics CRM doesn't provide solutions that allow you to transform easily if you have a heterogeneous mix of technologies or if your contact center is on analog and you try to digitize it. A lot of custom work is needed if you have to integrate heterogeneous technologies with the Microsoft suite, but if you are using the Microsoft suite, then it's quite seamless. Microsoft Dynamics CRM should add commercial models that allow smaller companies to use it because it can get pretty expensive. Better commercial options for smaller implementations may be helpful. There should be commercial options for smaller companies, as the overheads and costs of Dynamics can be quite high.

The project and task management features are valuable.
Project and task management Finance and bill management CRM We use it as a team management tool and online service for billing and finance management, and contact management as well. We are waiting for a new UI design, and also I think that not having a mobile version is a weakness. I think I…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"The feature I like best in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is being able to market to segments instead of choosing individual people to market to."
"Dynamics is easy to use. There are several fields I can filter."
"Technical support is completely good."
"The most valuable feature in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is funneling."
"The way it effectively works with the array of other Microsoft tools, such as Azure, is valuable. It works very well with the use of data linking and things like that. Overall, it is a great overall tool to have an effective understanding of the transactional background of each of our customers."
"I would recommend this solution to others."
"The stability of the solution is high."
"Creating a streamlined process from sales through to completion of projects has made an immense difference to our operations."
"It is deceptively simple but remarkably powerful."
"WORKetc is a great tool; complex and useful; maybe even too complex with a lot of customized options."

Cons

"The approvals component of Dynamics is complex. It isn't very easy to generate approvals between different departments."
"A built-in automation engine to automate parts of workflows would be beneficial. That's the feature I'd be most happy to see expanded. It's currently tagged as simple automation, but I'd love some predictive capability."
"Microsoft Dynamics CRM is operational enough, in terms of frequency, but an area for improvement would be its dashboard. Currently, it's widget-like, so hopefully, it could be improved, particularly to allow you to create a custom dashboard using a query. A custom dashboard would make the solution better and is an additional feature I'd like to see in the next release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM because right now, it only has a default dashboard, but maybe my account has limited access, so I can only see the default version of the dashboard."
"The product is very old."
"Sometimes the technical support for Microsoft Dynamics CRM is not qualified enough, and in some situations, we know the tool better than they do."
"The support from Microsoft would improve. Most of the time of the day is terrible."
"One area for improvement in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is its end user feedback. It's still not that great compared to Salesforce. They also need to improve on the look and feel of the solution, because those are still slightly better on Salesforce."
"Once there was an issue where our whole database was corrupted."
"We are waiting for a new UI design, and also I think that not having a mobile version is a weakness."
"The UI needs to move forward to a refreshed version but this is in the works."
"It just feels that the current UI is a bit old school."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The customers that have Microsoft Office 365, the license price is competitive. It is competitive because the next solution above it is Salesforce, which is licensed quite high. The price annually was approximately $55 per user but we did a combination of users with some of them having the higher range of approximately $85."
"The cost depends on a number of factors, so whoever is implementing it will need to take that into consideration before it is done."
"We have deployed the cloud-based version and it is a subscription and the price is based on the number of users using it."
"On a scale from one to ten with one being expensive and ten being of great value, I would rate Microsoft Dynamics CRM at six on pricing."
"Microsoft often encourages customers to commit to multi-year enterprise-level agreements, such as three or five-year deals with a minimum commitment of, for example, $200,000 dollars. However, in order to acquire more customers, I believe Microsoft should offer this same rate for one-year commitments for customers who want to experience it."
"The solution is expensive."
"Dynamics CRM's pricing is fair."
"I'm not aware of any licensing costs for Microsoft Dynamics CRM."
