Efficient project management with robust data tracking and an easy setup
When I have too many elements or items in a project, it becomes cumbersome, especially during printing. Non-technical users do not need all the data, so it's primarily for technical personnel. Without guidance, it's challenging to use the app. With guidance and expert knowledge, it becomes manageable, however, it's not for non-technical teams. The worst part is handling too many items, like 1,000 items, which Microsoft Project struggles with, especially when printing. Printing on A3 size is quite burdensome, so I prefer viewing it on a tablet or computer. On a tablet or phone, I can see the full project elements depending on the screen size.

Effective project coordination bridges field and office with real-time updates
It helps with project management. All the drawings and any changes to the drawings are uploaded to ensure that my team is looking at the most current versions. There is also reporting, allowing for the creation of reports in the field, including pictures and safety reports. You name it The…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Microsoft Project is user-friendly and easy to use to do very complex project plans."
"Microsoft Project is easy to use and helps our teams visualize the evolution of our projects."
"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"A lot of valuable features have been added in the last three years, including scheduling automation and intelligence."
"The setup is pretty simple."
"I like that I can change the task and include different resources related to the task."
"This tool is the most accurate project management tool, allowing me to run a full set of project activities without having to switch between different tools for scheduling and other tasks."
"Resource leveling is very useful. We like this feature. We like to be able to expand tasks and look at different resources and tasks usages. It is good at assigning tasks to teams. It is pretty compliant with the Project Management Institute approach, which is useful for being comprehensive. It allows us to make little Gantt charts and network diagrams."
"The coordination between the field and the office without the need to print or physically transport drawings is very valuable."
"Other companies have been using it for years, and it is a very stable platform."
"The financial side of Procore Project Management is better."

Cons

"I would like to see a direct integration of Microsoft Project with AutoCAD. It will make client presentations easy."
"Microsoft Project could improve the interface, it should be more intuitive. It could be adjusted a little bit to make it a little easier to use and more user-friendly. It is a very powerful tool and it takes people a while to get used to it."
"The online version of Microsoft Project lacks some functionality compared to the on-premises version."
"The solution is a basic tool that does not give you analytical insights. It does not have any AI capabilities which can also help to plan."
"Planview FLEX licensing gives us a central repository where all the projects are stored so you can check the finances, resources, etc. It's quite useful to have everything connected. We don't have that for Microsoft Project. It's disconnected. The reporting capabilities could also be better, especially with finance and resources. Everybody complains about reports. That's why we need another tool."
"It would be better if Microsoft Project were included in the DevOps stack. That is, I'd like to see this tool integrated to a different stack of the applications that we normally use in DevOps, such as in Jira, for example, to deploy a different version related to the different tasks that are included in Microsoft Project."
"Its price can be improved."
"When I have too many elements or items in a project, it becomes cumbersome, especially during printing."
"It takes time to use it. It is not entirely intuitive, so there are areas for improvement."
"It is not entirely intuitive, so there are areas for improvement."
"It would be nice if the tool can reduce its operational cost. It would make it more competitive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is expensive."
"I do not have personal experience with pricing or licensing of this product."
"The license fees for the professional version, which is estimated to be approximately $1,600, and the standard version, which is approximately $1,200, may be considered expensive by some users. This is something that could be improved to make the platform more accessible to a wider audience."
"You do not have to invest much in terms of configuring this solution to suit your needs."
"Licensing costs vary depending on the user volume. The pricing is good, I'd rate it four out of five."
"Its price could be reduced a little."
"You only need a Team's license in order to use Microsoft Project within Teams, which is very helpful."
"The solution is expensive."
"The tool is cheap and I would rate it a ten out of ten."
