User-friendly solution with good blocking
I mainly use Security Premium as an antivirus.  Security Premium's best features are blocking, notifications, and the user interface. Security Premium's cost could be lower. I've been using Security Premium for a year. Security Premium is stable - I haven't faced any issues or bugs while using…

Management becomes easier with minimal complications, but improvement in support tools needed
Regarding areas of improvement for Symantec Endpoint Security, there are many changes, and the support portal tool is complicated compared to other tools. When trying to get service from Symantec, the process is complex. I'm not sure whether it's because of my project or something else. Though it is easy to manage, easy to get, easy to install, and works efficiently for managing policies, we faced a significant disadvantage. We wanted to add multiple hashes because of numerous new alerts coming, but we could only add them one by one, which is a considerable disadvantage in Symantec.

"We tried a few: Kaspersky, Trend Micro, we used McAfee, we used Norton; we tried them all on our entire fleet of computers, and we realized that in terms of ease of use and resource consumption, Norton is something that is acceptable to us."
"The solution works very well, has a good IP signature and network, offers a lot of very useful features, is good for large organizations, and is able to handle a lot of users."
"Endpoint Security has helped us manage threats and malware; we saw the benefits immediately, and it made our threat response faster and more secure."
"Symantec is very user-friendly, the interface and functions are very simple for everyone to understand. Additionally, it's a very robust system."
"There are no issues with scalability."
"The support is very good, and it is easy to manage all of the clients and deploy new policies."

Cons

"Sometimes the program is too complex, and simplifying it might be an improvement."
"Having a dashboard that shows the different functions of Norton Security Premium can convince end users that the software is more than just an antivirus solution. This product offers several features, but end users think that it's just one out of the box solution, because the different functions are not explained in detail."
"It would be helpful for me if this solution works on our cloud backup data."
"The solution can improve the security modules."
"I do not find it to be scalable."
"The only problem with Norton Antivirus is that it consumes a lot of resources like CPU and memory in the background. Whenever it's scanning, my laptop becomes very slow, and the worst part is you cannot do anything about it. As this product is secured by my local IT team, you cannot even kill that process, and that's what I've felt about many other antivirus solutions. I'm using McAfee for personal use, and I have the same problem."
"The only problem with Norton Antivirus is that it consumes a lot of resources like CPU and memory in the background."
"The product is an antivirus, it should be updated automatically when needed."
"If there is a suspicious file, it is put into a sandbox where Symantec does an analysis. After the analysis, Symantec marks the file as a risk, but it doesn't blacklist or block the file. If a file is already known to be harmful, I would like them to automatically block or blacklist it to reduce the damage."
"Users mostly complain that the solution slows down the system whenever something is scanned."
"There have been some complaints about the visibility of current licensing, as sometimes it does not show all the seats, and customers have trouble getting a complete overview of Symantec licenses."
"There have been so many changes since the Broadcom acquisition that we feel like abandoning the product."
"Since the division of the company, we have experienced a lack of support."
"There is no local support for Symantec products in Hong Kong."
"The reputation system relies on having a constant Internet connection for its operations."
"It consumes high resources and sometimes slows down the processing."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing for this software is competitive."
"The solution gives the value for the money."
"If they could come down in price that would be good. It's not exactly the lowest."
"As I have been a long-time customer, I was given a fair price of $49.95 per month for the first four to six months."
"Security Premium costs around US$100 for three years, which is a little expensive."
"The licensing fee for this solution is not expensive."
"Security Premium is highly-priced."
"I don't pay for a license."
"There are subscription costs, we typically purchase the annual subscription. There can be other expenses too, for example, we use CrowdStrike also as part of our policy."
"It's not cheap."
"I’d say SEP deserves the money."

"The price of the product is competitive if compared to its competitors in the market."
