User-friendly solution with good blocking
I mainly use Security Premium as an antivirus.  Security Premium's best features are blocking, notifications, and the user interface. Security Premium's cost could be lower. I've been using Security Premium for a year. Security Premium is stable - I haven't faced any issues or bugs while using…

Management becomes easier with minimal complications, but improvement in support tools needed
Regarding areas of improvement for Symantec Endpoint Security, there are many changes, and the support portal tool is complicated compared to other tools. When trying to get service from Symantec, the process is complex. I'm not sure whether it's because of my project or something else. Though it is easy to manage, easy to get, easy to install, and works efficiently for managing policies, we faced a significant disadvantage. We wanted to add multiple hashes because of numerous new alerts coming, but we could only add them one by one, which is a considerable disadvantage in Symantec.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is called Norton 360 all-in-one. It is a full product."
"Norton Security Premium is good, and it's pretty simple to install."
"The most valuable feature is the quick installation."
"The dashboard is good."
"With the heightened security around phishing, identity theft, and malware, this is a good product."
"The internet security was a plus, and it's pretty good."
"When I'm using the solution in my personal space, I can see that it secures my laptop, it works fast, and it actually does what I want."
"We like how it can check for issues. That includes files and web browsers."
"The valuable feature of the product stems from the fact that the tool serves as a complete solution and can be deployed on either the cloud or an on-premises model, which also makes it a solution that can be deployed on a hybrid cloud model."
"The solution is easy to use."
"Symantec centralized our intrusion detection system while creating additional layers of security at the endpoint level."
"It is very easy to managing everything in relation to the implementation and processing. The initial setup is very easy."
"I like that the solution can be scaled to deal with different threats, and the same agent will be integrated into different Symantec products, which obviates the need to deploy multiple agents and keeps things very small and effective."
"It's a good proxy to control the user's access to the website."
"One of the most valuable features is the ability to manage antivirus security. There is an admin console that helps you make policies and do deployment of the clients, to make them reachable and to deploy updates."
"The solution can be scaled to handle different threats."

Cons

"I don't like the password manager of Norton Security Premium. I really dislike it."
"Occasionally when you open a ticket, there's a lack of understanding that prevents the solution from being resolved directly."
"During scanning, sometimes, there is a heavy load on the workstation. This needs to be improved."
"The solution can improve the security modules."
"The product could always be more secure."
"The product is an antivirus, it should be updated automatically when needed."
"Security Premium's cost could be lower."
"The only problem with Norton Antivirus is that it consumes a lot of resources like CPU and memory in the background. Whenever it's scanning, my laptop becomes very slow, and the worst part is you cannot do anything about it. As this product is secured by my local IT team, you cannot even kill that process, and that's what I've felt about many other antivirus solutions. I'm using McAfee for personal use, and I have the same problem."
"I would less likely recommend this product to users who only have average RAM and CPU power."
"From my experience, I find scaling this solution is difficult."
"There is a lack of reporting and alerts."
"We had some issues during deployment. When doing a 40.000 McAfee migration nodes for SEP, I have faced challenges removing specific MacAfee features where SEP has no supportability."
"We have not had a positive experience with technical support."
"I think Symantec should work more precisely on minimizing database size and the live update size."
"Is not a full anti-ransomware solution."
"The solution's reporting could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Security Premium is highly-priced."
"If they could come down in price that would be good. It's not exactly the lowest."
"Pricing for this software is competitive."
"As I have been a long-time customer, I was given a fair price of $49.95 per month for the first four to six months."
"I don't pay for a license."
"Security Premium costs around US$100 for three years, which is a little expensive."
"We have a yearly license, and each license is around 20 or 30 Jordanian Dinars plus taxes."
"The solution gives the value for the money."
"Compared to other products and brands here in Mexico, the price is okay, somewhere in the middle. Our solution is unique in that it can adapt to a variety of pricing and licensing constraints considering we have the corporate, government, and academic mandates. The"
"The price of the solution could be less expensive."
"There are subscription costs, we typically purchase the annual subscription. There can be other expenses too, for example, we use CrowdStrike also as part of our policy."
"It could be cheaper."
"I am not sure of the initial cost, but the yearly renewals are quite affordable, which is a good thing. The price seems to have come down in recent years, and with the alternatives that are out there, such as Microsoft Defender, it needs to maintain that affordability to make it attractive."
"The licensing terms can range from subscription-based to perpetual, to annual, to tri-annual."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"Each annual client license is around 1200 or 1600 INR."
