Unified sign-in has simplified access control and has supported end-to-end identity lifecycle
The authentication process is good, but sometimes the responsiveness to requests for enhancement is very slow. I sometimes face issues with platform stability, flexibility in configuration, and limited API availability. I experience downtimes two to three times per year. OneLogin's support team is sometimes very slow to respond. There is a feature limitation with mapping, as OneLogin does not provide one-to-all mapping. For client deployment, we need to create separate mappings for each request, and we cannot use the same mapping for multiple requests. Other areas that have room for improvement are related to API limitations. If a client requires more APIs, such as 5,000 or 6,000, OneLogin charges more. The API rate limits by default or the standard limit should provide more than 5,000. Additionally, OneLogin could provide more flexibility in configuration. These are the main limitations I have identified with OneLogin.

With its mobile application, this tool offers a convenient and user-friendly experience to its users
To improve the tool, I think that the solution should consider integrations with other cybersecurity and IT technologies, such as Privileged Access Management and Site Integration. Additionally, the implementation of second-factor authentication via Symantec VIP Access Manager, CyberArk, and Delinea, among other technologies, could be best for the product. While the existing technology is okay, improving the integration capabilities for Symantec VIP Access Manager would benefit the product. I would like to see the solution meet the integration needs at our company. While many cybersecurity solutions can function independently, they often lack integration with our systems due to missed integration points. Improving the solution's integration feature would be beneficial.

Pros

"Customer service is top notch and technical support is very knowledgeable and sound."
"OneLogin by One Identity is really stable, and in the scenarios that we have encountered, it has been very stable with no delays or extended maintenance windows."
"OneLogin is still the market's most exemplary solution."
"My impressions of the Identity Synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is that it is seamless and syncs every identity seamlessly."
"OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by centralizing identity management and enforcing strong authentication policies such as MFA."
"OneLogin has highly impacted our organization positively because it provides full customized control of user access and multi-factor authentication with great supported methods such as SMS OTP or email OTP, which are the key positive things we are getting from this solution."
"The best features of OneLogin are probably the multi-region capabilities because for multinational companies that have offices around the world in different countries with different languages, OneLogin has native capabilities to help integrate all of that."
"It was really well accepted by pretty much everybody at the company."
"The product is useful for providing user access from an in-built office server as we follow the work-from-home model."
"It's a good tool. It's pretty straightforward."
"After the initial integration, the overall support calls dropped, and customer satisfaction for VPN increased."
"It is a fast and easy solution for end users, and you are always online."
"The solution has helped to increase staff productivity by approximately a minute."
"The tool has been very stable, in my experience. Also, I haven't faced any issues or problems with integration or connectivity."
"Pricing was about 25% of the old solution, saving us about $500,000 over three years for 10,000 users."
"The main benefit of Symantec VIP is that it provides strong authentication while keeping it as a very user friendly experience."

Cons

"I sometimes face issues with platform stability, flexibility in configuration, and limited API availability."
"OneLogin has been a good experience, but there is a scope of improvement in every application, especially in the admin user interface and overall usability."
"Currently, I'm much more focused on Okta, as the solution hasn't really met our requirements."
"The pricing could be reduced to make OneLogin more effective."
"The debugging feature is a bit problematic."
"I would like better reporting from SmartFactor Authentication when a user is not able to sign in due to a new location, new IP, new device, et cetera."
"OneLogin is a strong platform overall, but the reporting and advanced configuration options could be more intuitive; some administrative tasks and policies configuration have a learning curve for new users, and improving the user interface and providing more detailed built-in reporting would make management more efficient."
"OneLogin needs to increase the number of connectors available out of the box to connect to the different endpoints. The number of out-of-box connectors should be increased."
"There are some shortcomings on the reporting side, such as how many connections you can get per month."
"The User Store synchronization part needs to improve. Also, the logs, reports, and dashboard can be improved."
"It gets out of sync with Active Directory or whatever it might be, whatever the authentication piece is on Active Directory, and they just reset it on the backend. I never have to contact the vendor."
"At times, the relay server could not contact Symantec; it would fail open and allow access without a passcode."
"Technical support is one of the worst problems."
"Maybe Symantec could consider providing a step-by-step guide for first-time users."
"The VIP Manager can be accessed from the outside which is a security vulnerability."
"I would like to see the solution meet the integration needs at our company...Improving the solution's integration feature would be beneficial."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Surprisingly expensive given the price of on-premise solutions."
"The price of the licensing is fine."
"The pricing and licensing are reasonable. It is much cheaper than other products."
"OneLogin's pricing, from the perspective of the education sector, seems quite reasonable for the value it delivers."
"The pricing for OneLogin seems to be okay. The pricing and licensing are affordable. If you'd consider OneLogin to be expensive, it's worth it."
"While I wish OneLogin's pricing was more affordable, their licensing model, which is based on per user, is acceptable."
"We were happy with the price we got when we signed up, but I don't know what will happen when the time comes to renew because it is a different company now. We haven't seen any pricing models or had that discussion yet. My renewal is a year and a half away. It's worth what we're paying for it. There's no way we could provide the level of service for cheaper or try to do the same in-house."
"It was cheap in the beginning, and then it became very expensive. We were initially charged $2 per user per month, which was fine, but by the second year, they increased it to $5 per user. That became very expensive for us because we had about 1,500 users. At $2 per user, it comes out to be $3,000 a month, which is $36,000 a year. If we move to $5 per user, it comes out to be $7,500 a month. That made its cost so high. That is why we removed the product because the cost was high."
"I can say that the solution is worth the money."
"Licensing and pricing seems very fair."
"There is a one-time setup fee plus the licenses are provided as per the number of users. For SMS and voice calls, the costs are separate."
"There are additional costs for maintenance."
