Comes with life cycle management features but needs improvement in installation
The tool's most valuable feature is life cycle management.  OpenText Cloud Service Automation needs to incorporate easier installation. It should improve skills and quality of support.  I have been working with the product for three to five years.  I rate the product's stability an eight out of…

Extensive tool features support database monitoring, but support and pricing present challenges
I don't fully understand what improvements could be made in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. To make it better, more features could be added, but it is already a very complete tool, especially if you know how to configure it properly, as you can use it to monitor other databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server in addition to Oracle.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool's most valuable feature is life cycle management."
"We really look at infrastructure as a service as the major trend in IT, at least for a service provider like us, for the next 3 to 4 years, so we really want to have a precise, clearly defined, but very dynamic and flexible private cloud where we can easily provision and deploy infrastructure as a service to our end customers."
"The ability to tie the pieces together, supporting multiple providers across both HPE and non-HPE products, is crucial in a heterogeneous environment composed of many different commercial and in-house developed components."
"The tool's most valuable feature is life cycle management."
"The most valuable feature of Micro Focus Cloud Service is how user friendly the solution is."
"Scalability is the most valuable feature to us."
"These products let us integrate multiple tools together and help to automate the processes by cutting down time and effort through the modules and reusable contents."
"The most valuable feature of Micro Focus Cloud Service is how user-friendly the solution is."
"Real-time SQL, performance monitoring and SQL Tuning Advisor are the features that I use the most."
"From a performance perspective, the management capabilities of the product are very valuable to its customers."
"The most valuable feature of Oracle EMCC is its flexibility to manage various industries, projects, and tasks."
"I believe that one of the most valuable resources this tool has is the ability to check offending processes, which are burdening the hardware resources, and to generate advice quickly that can improve a query's performance."
"The report feature is very useful."
"If you have a considerable number of Oracle Databases and they are very critical, I suggest you use this product, as it eases administration, mainly regarding performance management and troubleshooting."
"Another feature is the Resource Manager, where we can manage the consumption of resources of certain queries, separately in resource groups. Depending on the characteristics of the query, queries can be placed in groups that consume less database and hardware resources."
"The solution offers a good amount of stability and reliability."

Cons

"I haven't found very user friendly things, some are a little tricky."

"I would like fewer restrictions as a software tester."
"The cost for the licenses needs to be improved because they are expensive and scare many customers away from Oracle."

"The product does have room for improvement in patch management."
"The installation steps are very complex and the documentation for them is very generic and does not make very clear the correct steps from the installation to the addition of the host and database."
"Another point that can be improved is the agent instability in the monitored hosts, because sometimes an agent has to be resynchronized to recapture the information."
"Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control needs to monitor other Oracle tools as well. It should also improve its pricing."
