I am generally satisfied with the talent management capabilities in Oracle HCM Cloud, but as I mentioned, there are certain pages that really lag sometimes and there are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate. It takes some time to get that feature, and we need to raise product SR or ask in the community how it works. It's not easily understandable, especially in the talent management area. One potential area of improvement for Oracle HCM Cloud is that it lags. It takes time to reflect the pages, and the loading time now requires us to wait for the page to load. Earlier, we used to click and see the page immediately. However, now we need to wait for it to get loaded, which can be frustrating when working in a fast mode.

Has required customization been difficult to implement and user experience remains a concern
We are quite satisfied with Odoo. We are able to add modules or apps whatever we require based on our company's requirements on our own. I find Odoo being more user-friendly, and making changes there is more accessible. Being Odoo partners allows us to make changes. In Zoho People Plus, we were just on a subscription basis, so it was not possible to make any changes based on the company's requirements, which made it a little difficult. As far as security or anything else is concerned, Zoho People Plus was also good, and many companies use it. We find Odoo a little better and user-friendly compared to Zoho People Plus. For time tracking, we were using Clockify, and we were using Jira and other products. Time tracking in Odoo is much more convenient and user-friendly compared to Zoho People Plus. We decided to switch because it was not very compatible with our system. Our employees were not comfortable. It was not as user-friendly as Odoo is. We became Odoo partners, which made it a better shift from Zoho People Plus.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The valuable features of Oracle HCM Cloud are the frequent updates, if there are any discrepancies, we consult with our record directly and they come up with the solution for the betterment of the cloud."
"Absence management, self-release, self-service, and raising help desk issues are particularly valuable."
"The initial setup or implementation process of the solution is fine. The deployment process took place in two days. So, once one has the runbook and everything in place, it is not that difficult."
"It allows us to consolidate all of our HR functions onto one platform."
"Oracle HCM Cloud is scalable, and Oracle is spending a lot of effort in research and development to increase scalability and speed with the high demand for mobile usage, with approximately 30,000 users using this solution in my organization."
"Oracle HCM Cloud's workforce analytics has helped me in refining my business strategies."
"The best feature of the product is the middleware where it allows you to create a project and all the required and the optional tasks come pre-configured."
"The tool's implementation has resulted in significant time savings, ranging from 30 to 50 percent across various processes. Oracle HCM, particularly its payroll functionality, has proven to be highly valuable for our organization. Additionally, the ability to implement various customizations has proven valuable. The robust nature of Oracle HCM Cloud ensures high accuracy."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its analytics part."
"We are quite satisfied with Odoo; we are able to add modules or apps whatever we require based on our company's requirements on our own."
"Zoho People has valuable features like simplicity in use and ease of configuration."

Cons

"I rate the technical support of Oracle HCM Cloud an eight out of ten. There is some room for improvement."
"It could be more user-friendly."
"It would be very nice if we were able to roll back transactions from data that was loaded with the data loader."
"Although the performance management is good, it could be improved as its functionality is quite basic."
"Visually, Oracle HCM Cloud needs improvement. For example, the employee portal looks rather old, so it would be awesome if Oracle refreshed its design or if the portal looked more modern. Oracle HCM Cloud works, but visually, it needs improvement."
"Once we are done working on a template, we can't change it unless we create a new one."
"I was part of a program I went to where I had a discussion on the latest innovation of the Oracle HCM. I think some of the newer technology innovations, such as gamification and consumerization are areas that could be improved."
"It's not so easy to customize as it's cloud-based."
"There is also a need to improve the accessibility of historical employee data, making it as seamless as some other systems."
"We decided to switch because it was not very compatible with our system. Our employees were not comfortable."
"The only challenge is if you are a European business based in Asia and you want to have your data on an EU server, it is a nightmare."

"The price of Oracle HCM Cloud could improve. However, everyone would like the price of a solution they are using to be less expensive."

"The product could be more affordable."
"Zoho People Plus has a very competitive pricing model. The pricing part is tier-based, and it is eight Euros per user."
