Streamlined time tracking boosts operational efficiency across multiple regions
The time tracking feature is the most effective for employee management. UKG is used in Europe, the United States, Australia, and East Asian countries for HR activities like payroll. The application is like an ERP, providing comprehensive features for organizations, simplifying their processes, and reducing the need to use multiple software solutions.

Has required customization been difficult to implement and user experience remains a concern
We are quite satisfied with Odoo. We are able to add modules or apps whatever we require based on our company's requirements on our own. I find Odoo being more user-friendly, and making changes there is more accessible. Being Odoo partners allows us to make changes. In Zoho People Plus, we were just on a subscription basis, so it was not possible to make any changes based on the company's requirements, which made it a little difficult. As far as security or anything else is concerned, Zoho People Plus was also good, and many companies use it. We find Odoo a little better and user-friendly compared to Zoho People Plus. For time tracking, we were using Clockify, and we were using Jira and other products. Time tracking in Odoo is much more convenient and user-friendly compared to Zoho People Plus. We decided to switch because it was not very compatible with our system. Our employees were not comfortable. It was not as user-friendly as Odoo is. We became Odoo partners, which made it a better shift from Zoho People Plus.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is much easier to use and the customer service is better than our previous solution."
"The solution's UI is good. Also, it is very easy to use."
"Using Business Intelligence, we have been able to produce reports to track our Overtime Analysis and catch any invalid payroll entries that need to be corrected, among many other things."
"Customer service is good."
"With their assistance, we've been able to cut down on payroll processing errors, analyze our benefits for accuracy, and eliminate foreseeable issues with effective reporting."
"The pay policies and approvals are valuable features."
"The solution's employee experience is pretty good."
"The fact that I can see the whole HR information in a single point is valuable. There is a unified view of everything, which is good. Previously, we had many different systems for each part of the information. Now, it is all centralized. It is very good."
"We are quite satisfied with Odoo; we are able to add modules or apps whatever we require based on our company's requirements on our own."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its analytics part."
"Zoho People has valuable features like simplicity in use and ease of configuration."

Cons

"In-house scale of 1-10, 5."
"I would like to see more functionality in the next release to be able to get hours and dollars per calendar month rather than just by payroll in the Business Intelligence reports."
"When the translation is conducted by non-SME support, much is “lost in translation” and this can be very costly, because it is extremely time-consuming and often results in miscommunication."
"Our deployment had a lot of issues...but with my few months at the company, I am finding these are self inflicted."
"Having no person on site to help us through integration was a big negative."
"We did have deployment issues. We had employees that were not assigned to the correct states and we are still doing W-2 corrections."
"Customer service is 5/10. Technical support is 5/10."
"Need better assistance with the BI reporting."
"We decided to switch because it was not very compatible with our system. Our employees were not comfortable."
"There is also a need to improve the accessibility of historical employee data, making it as seamless as some other systems."
"The only challenge is if you are a European business based in Asia and you want to have your data on an EU server, it is a nightmare."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"While I am unsure of the licensing cost itself, the total cost of implementation and licensing for a company with over 5000 employees would be around 6,00,000. So, there are additional costs beyond licensing."
"If you're going for the full suite, it can be fairly pricey."
"The pricing depends on the number of licenses we buy."
"The platform is not affordable but also not the most expensive."
"UKG's pricing and licensing model involves ongoing expenses based on the number of employees paid. The initial implementation cost is low when UKG implements it directly. However, when partners handle the implementation, it becomes more expensive since partners don't receive the monthly recurring fees."
"I wasn't involved in the pricing part. I'm a user, and I believe it is based on the user count. One thing that is nice about Ultimate is that you can learn how to use the system without additional fees. The learning aspect is the life of a product, and the training was a huge reason why we went with Ultimate. We did have some integration costs. They were a part of the implementation because of the integrations to other systems that we included in our implementation."
"Zoho People Plus has a very competitive pricing model. The pricing part is tier-based, and it is eight Euros per user."
