The ability to track call flow and history simplifies call management while bridging issues persist
I find the ability to follow the calls, the call flow, the ability to look at the history, and more on the fault-finding tools to be valuable. It improved from a support model perspective. It simplified the licensing, reduced administration since it's based on calls, not based on users. It's about managing the calls and verifying we have enough space as opposed to always adding licenses for endpoints or users.

Remote access has cut critical issue resolution time and supports faster production troubleshooting
Perhaps on the UI side of TeamViewer because we are connecting to different remote desktop connections or remote server connections. Whenever we are working on one of the production issues and we open multiple connections, it is very hectic or confusing to jump from one server to another server. Perhaps on the UI side, if they can improve something related to the view sessions or which session is connected to which remote server, that would be helpful. Perhaps something related to the authentication because it should have a proper authentication mechanism. Every developer should not access TeamViewer or the remote desktop by using TeamViewer. We always have a proper authentication or multifactor authentication mechanism in place, so only those on on-call support or P1 support at that time can access the remote server, but not anyone else. I chose nine out of 10 because sometimes we face the session timeout issue. Suppose during the production support, we connect to one of the remote servers, and if it is idle for approximately 10 or 15 minutes, the session timeout happens. We have to follow the same authentication mechanism to connect to the remote server again. During the session timeout, it delays our process or the troubleshooting steps, which is the reason I have given nine out of 10 instead of 10.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product increases the ability of Teams in cases when we need to collaborate with whiteboards or specific video-coms or audio-coms to install a meeting presence room."
"The solution is stable, there are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze."
"I find the ability to follow the calls, the call flow, the ability to look at the history, and more on the fault-finding tools to be valuable."
"It simplified the licensing, reduced administration since it's based on calls, not based on users."
"It's on-prem, which is great."
"It does a good job of integrating with other software."
"Some proprietary Polycom features include speaker tracking, acoustic fencing, noise cancellation, active noise cancellation, and noise cancellation AI."
"The most valuable feature is its integration with solutions like Zoom and Teams for endpoints. The picture quality is high, and the conference sessions are stable."
"The new two-factor authentication is a very good addition to security."
"From just a cost perspective, it pays for itself within the first month, or probably less than that."
"It is a great, amazing tool; all companies need to have it, and it's secure, fast, and reliable."
"Nothing else compares to it at the same level."
"The most valuable feature of TeamViewer is its ease of use."
"Remote desktop sharing is one valuable feature of the solution."
"The most valuable features of TeamViewer are the ease of connecting to remote computers. I do not need a lot of information about their computers to connect, a nontechnical person can give me the information needed for me to connect. Additionally, the solution does not gather other system information about the host or client's systems as other solutions might, such as AnyDesk."
"Quicker and easier to connect to our customers’ PCs to resolve software issues."

Cons

"The customer needs this platform to be a little bit more customized."
"I'd like to see a wider range of use cases for this product."
"The only issue we have is with some of the bridging stuff, particularly with respect to DTMF and outgoing calls."
"Polycom RealPresence Clariti is very bad when moving towards the cloud."
"The idea of the Clariti 2.0 is good, however, they're still moving too slowly."

"Every now and then you'll get a silent crash and you relaunch the application. But it happens no more than with anything else in the Windows environment."
"The business interface is clunky and not well-documented."
"A feature that they could add is chat with sound to talk."
"If you had to teach someone how TeamViewer Business works, especially because I am speaking in a sense that I am using it on an engineer level, it would be a bit difficult to get accustomed to some of the settings, especially with the new experience."
"I'd like to be able to have two simultaneous sessions open on two different screens; this would increase productivity."
"It should have ability to display notes in the computer list."
"The connection and reconnection sometimes lag and can cause problems."
"TeamViewer can improve connectivity. I had some problems connecting to my clients and now I use AnyDesk."
