Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Detects incidents quickly, improves our SLA performance and solves issues faster
We mainly use it for incident logging. We'd like to add service request functionality, but we don't have the knowledge to configure the requests and the workflows properly. We'd like to integrate our workflows with the incident management, so we use it to manage our work better. We'd like to implement the service request feature. Right now, we just record everything as incidents. Some activities can take a long time, maybe one or two weeks. This makes it hard to maintain a good SLA, even if we work hard. So, response speed and workflow improvements.

Offers multi-tenancy architecture, both in terms of functionality and reporting, requires minimal configuration and no-code deployment
We're still biased towards our previous, more mature product. 4me still needs to reach that level of maturity. However, for most users, the product will do what they need. It's only when you have mature service management processes and need deeper integrations at the process level that you might encounter some limitations. But for less mature needs, 4me works well.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I would rate this solution a ten out of ten."
"The company continues with research and development to expand the capabilities of the product to meet market needs."
"Automation Anywhere is very easy to use; it's a low-code platform that a person who doesn't have any technical knowledge can use."
"The features are pretty easy to use, like the drag and drop feature. It is easy and understand, even a layman knows how the application works. All the basic stuff can be done by anybody."
"Compared to other RPA solutions on the market I have worked with, AA surpasses its competitors by far."
"The Object Cloning command is the most useful feature. Through the use of this command, between 30% and 40% of the process automation is complete."
"We needed scalability and the ability to perform 10,000 or 1,000 or 200 tasks at any moment. No other software that we have had could provide such scalability and is built in a modular way."
"Automation Anywhere is definitely scalable in several ways; it's easy and accessible, it's designed the best — almost perfect."
"I would recommend Samanage from the IT support perspective because it's a great ticketing system and the only downside is the site shutdowns and the messy nature of the UI and UX."
"The solution has a great filtering feature."
"Samanage has not only taken over asset and inventory management, but it also has the ability to function across departments, making it easy for end users to submit help desk tickets for IT, HR, and Finance."
"The best part is the ability to keep records, especially incident records. It's easy to use the tool to store data and monitor it."
"When compared to BMC Helix ITSM, the 4me setup is much simpler and less complicated."
"The solution is highly stable."
"The multi-tenancy architecture, both in terms of functionality and reporting, is the best feature. It is a really well-thought, designed, and developed part of this product."
"I like their request management as well as their project management."
"It offers a comprehensive set of features without requiring additional payments for each feature."

Cons

"In the age of AARI and Automation Anywhere 2019 IQ Bot, the biggest challenges for me and my company are understanding the product and implementing it at the right place."
"Automation Anywhere should improve its OCR capabilities."
"There is room for improvement in terms of costs and procurement considerations."
"After implementing, I have seen that some customers are not getting ROI from that, so they are stepping back from using Automation Anywhere."
"They have incorporated many latest technologies, such as AI, and there is always scope to improve the processes and have more stability."
"I believe there is room for improvement in Automation Anywhere, particularly in their training programs, which need more development."
"There are a few features that we would love to have: running on the cloud, running on Linux, out of the box integration availability with larger ecosystems like Salesforce, Workday, or Microsoft."
"We have had some difficulty with ease of use. In addition, we have had some difficulties getting it to interact in predictable ways with our in-house software."
"There are definitely areas for improvement, but so far, so good."
"We've had some problems with the system shutting down about once a month. It sometimes takes five or 10 minutes to start working again but it can also take hours."
"The setting up process is not quite easy. It's quite difficult."
"The system shuts down about once a month which is frustrating."
"One area where I believe there's room for improvement in the 4me system is the absence of an asset discovery tool."
"We would like to be able to customize and brand the solution, or at least the majority of its features and dashboards, particularly those that will be used by a large number of people."
"Asset Discovery is a feature that should be added."
"We're still biased towards our previous, more mature product. 4me still needs to reach that level of maturity."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Automation Anywhere is expensive."
"Complaints are generally about the cost of IQ Bot, which is higher than its competitors. The base model’s pricing is comparable to other platforms with attended, unattended, and IDP capabilities as well."
"I am not sure about the costs, but two Bot Runners and four Bot Creators may cost approximately 1CR."
"We save 34,000 hours of time per year and have recouped up to $6000 in lost revenue."
"It saves on the quality of work, because the quality can be bad when somebody's doing it. If a bot does the work, it's faster and comes with good quality. These are two important things along with the cost saving in the long run. That's where the value is."
"They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
"The setup cost depends on multiple factors, so you need to get details before choosing."
"We're on a license package with Automation Anywhere (AA), paid yearly. What would be better is for them to have different packages for different types of organization."
"It is expensive."
"The pricing is expensive."
"This pricing falls on the lower end of the spectrum, making it a cost-effective option."
"It is the most affordable because it is priced per month per user."
"The licensing costs on the website are about $60 for pay-as-you-go. And then it decreases based on volume discounts or something."
