We have deployed two to three wireless projects using D-Link Wireless Controller. It was a good experience, and the system is currently operational. We deployed it about a year ago with no issues reported since.

D-Link Wireless offers more supported APs to the WLC with the default license compared to other brands like Cisco. With Cisco, only four to five APs are connected with the default license, but D-Link Wireless provides more flexibility. Local support in Pakistan is necessary for those with limited budgets, creating a reach in the market.

D-Link Wireless should include the 'cleaner' feature similar to Cisco's APs. This feature reduces signal interference with access points. Working on this functionality for APs and WLC could be an improvement.

I configured the WLC-1000 Wireless Controller with seven APs three to four months ago.

The service is stable. We deployed the setup a year ago, and another six months ago with no complaints from the customer regarding any problems with the access point or WLC.

I think D-Link Wireless earns 80 marks out of 100 for small and medium-sized businesses in terms of scalability.

I have not interacted with D-Link Wireless customer support yet, but there is a question about whether firmware upgrades require a license or login for downloads.

The initial setup was straightforward compared to Juniper and Cisco. D-Link Wireless has an easy-to-understand GUI and detailed manuals, making simple configuration deployment feasible.

We use internal knowledge along with remote support from expert engineers for the deployment process.

Customers are likely to see a good return on investment from D-Link Wireless due to its competitive pricing compared to Cisco and Juniper. This attracts users with budget constraints.

D-Link Wireless is notably more affordable than Cisco and Juniper. It suits SMB needs without the financial burden of purchasing additional licenses for extended APs.

We also work on projects involving Cisco and Juniper alongside D-Link Wireless.

I recommend D-Link Wireless for limited budgets and small setups. It is easy to manage without needing expert staff. Overall, I rate D-Link Wireless nine out of ten as a solution.

We use the solution to connect to the same network through different devices. It is a Unified Wireless solution. D-Link provides it through its DAP series. We use the models DAP-1360 and DAP-2680.

The solution provides wireless access to our resources. It had a huge impact. Since it is a unified network, we can access the resources whenever we connect to the network.

The Unified Wireless feature is valuable. The tool supports new technologies. It supports higher bandwidth now. We can connect with 5G and higher bandwidths. The solution is upgrading to the latest version now. The reliability is high. The solution provides us with more freedom to work from anywhere.

Depending on the configuration, we can access the company's resources whenever we can access the network. The setup and management of the tool are okay. When we set up the network, we must decide where we need to have it and how many endpoints we need. The setup was easy. It was not hard to do.

Sometimes, the solution needs to be restarted. It happens once or twice monthly. When the device gets stuck or we are not able to access it for some reason, we need to restart it. If it is a hardware issue, we need to solve it. If it is a software issue, we must upgrade the firmware.

I have been using the solution for five years.

The tool is stable. We did not have problems with maintenance. It is a strong device and not one of the cheaper plastic ones. I rate the stability a seven out of ten. Sometimes, we need to restart the product.

I rate the tool’s scalability an eight out of ten. It is pretty scalable.

We did not need much support. The team is supportive.

The ease of deployment depends on the model. The one I used was easy to access. The configuration was easy. There is another one, which is at a higher level. I think it is the highest the vendor has. It needs more work to configure. It's not straightforward. We need some networking background to configure it. The installation and configuration can be done in ten minutes. It might take 25 to 30 minutes to install the higher-level tool. The time taken depends on the requirements or configuration we need. Maintaining the tool is easy.

The implementation was through the vendor with the infrastructure and operation teams

The tool’s pricing is good for the functionality it provides. It is a one-time purchase. The cost can range from $100 to $400. The higher-end devices might cost $400.

I have used Huawei modems, access points, and routers for my personal needs. I prefer Linksys and Huawei slightly more than D-Link.

The product provides good functionality and the latest wireless technology. Like mobile phones and laptops, wireless devices come up with new technologies every year. We will not benefit from the new technology if we use an old wireless device. D-Link provides us with higher bandwidth, better stability, and more security. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten.

My company uses D-Link Wireless for small offices and small rooms, like security offices and other such tiny rooms where connectivity can be a challenge.

From the use of the product, my institution gets value from the product for the money we paid for it. D-Link Wireless performs well, and you get it at a better cost compared to the products featured in Gartner Quadrant, where products offering the same level of performance as D-Link are included. I don't know why D-Link has not been able to come up in the market.

D-Link Wireless needs to scale up its support services since I did not get an immediate response when I contacted them. It is important to note that the product's technical team could provide me with the solution I wanted.

The support offered by the product needs to be faster with better technical personnel.

D-Link Wireless is a tool that my company has used to date in two parts. Around fifteen years ago, my company used D-Link Wireless and discontinued it, after which we recently started using it again, so there was a gap of ten years.

There are no stability issues reported about the product till now.

In our institution, around 200 people use the product.

I am unsure if there are any plans in our institution to increase the use of the solution.

I have experience with the solution's technical support, and they were good.

My company mainly uses Ruckus, which is a wireless-based tool. Ruckus and HP offer wireless controllers, which our company uses for rooms like libraries. For different locations, my company uses different systems.

I have experience with multiple products other than D-Link Wireless. I chose D-Link Wireless since it is a good tool from a cost perspective.

The product's initial setup phase is easy.

In our university, we currently have a project where we want to implement the product in three months.

The tool is deployed on the cloud model because my institution deals with four campuses. Since Mumbai has one of our university's major campuses, we may keep the product on an on-premises model.

For deployment and maintenance, my institution has three technical staff members, including a network engineer, a technical assistant, and a system administrator.

In our institution, we have experience with the product's setup phase, and we work with vendors and integrators who can assist us.

Our university is already in touch with Ruckus, Quantum, and Aruba as we want to try out other products apart from D-Link Wireless. I am just looking out for the products that fall under the leader category in Gartner Magic Quadrant. I also plan to use Fortinet APs. I may not consider using D-Link Wireless in the future as it does not fall under the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

Over a period of time, the technologies change, and users may not get the proper things. In general, there is a need to keep changing devices after a period of five years, especially considering that I operate in a university where we don't have closed offices, while the devices' performance level goes down in open spaces. Though in our institution, we tried to make some changes to the product, we know that nothing much is going to change. In our institution, we plan to have indoor and room-based APs, but even then, some of the rooms don't come in a dust-free environment, so there is a need for us to experiment with the product as the degrading of the devices and signals still keeps happening. In our institution, we are making some changes to adopt to an indoor-based system.

For certain setups, D-Link Wireless works better and ensures that users get value for their money. If you know how to maintain a technology, then it can help you.

I rate the overall tool an eight to nine out of ten.

I like the product's signal continuity and range. We can receive the signal up to 20-30 meters from the wireless antenna.

The tool's technical support can get difficult sometimes. We got a technician only after complaining for 10-15 days. The tool's technicians need to be made available everywhere. 

I have been working with the solution for two and a half years. 

The tool is stable and gives a constant signal without any fluctuations. 

My company has 200 users for D-Link Wireless. We plan to increase the tool's usage in the future.

Our organization uses D-Link Wireless for the switches, access points, and structured cabling, which is fiber and Cat6.

Feature-wise, one thing I find valuable in the solution is that a controller manages it centrally. I've been able to integrate with VLANS and also with multiple SSIDs. Also, the coverage is very good.

I think that something is to be improved. The controller visibility of the solution, which is used to control the device information, needs to be improved. The only issue is with the controller visibility of the devices connecting to the network.

I have experience with D-Link Wireless; this would be the third year I have used it. So, I have used it for approximately two years. 

I am an end user of the solution. Also, I am using AD-Link Wireless DAP-2660.

It is a very, very, very stable tool. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

The solution's installation phase is quite simple. The solution is deployed on-premises.

The time taken for deployment depends on the number of devices you have, so it's a matter of hours. The precise number of hours needed to deploy the solution depends on the number of devices. The more devices you have, the more time you take. In our case, it took almost three hours.

For deployment, I need one or two people.

Maintenance is done based on frequent updates. So, one person is enough to do the maintenance.

The cost of the solution falls within the market pricing, especially compared to other products out there. On a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap and ten is very expensive, I rate the pricing an eight out of ten. It is not very pricey. It is an averagely-priced solution. For the licensing part, the purchase has to be made only once. Also, there are no additional costs involved. Moreover, the solution is worth the money paid for it.

I think it's a good device since it does the job. Also, its stability and coverage are perfect. Support is also very good. In general, it's a solid solution.

Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

We used it in warehouses, offices, and some open fields like stadiums.

The system simplifies network management. Because network management is how a network administrator has planned or designed the network. It starts from there. 

So, regarding our network management, when you plan your network into VLANs and have a VLAN for wireless, you'll monitor those subnetworks, and they'll be used for whatever work they were created for. 

If it's a wireless VLAN, you can put restrictions on it or implement security. You can implement security on that VLAN, and it will affect only the wireless users.

The most valuable features are SE and AC [802.11ac]. People have devices that can connect to higher-speed wireless.

If you provide a captive portal so that people can log in via a portal, those are some of the best features.

I'm from Kenya; we have a lot of products that are being sold that are too cheap. 

There are devices called Tenda or Unify. There are quite a number of other products. The problem now becomes that there are too many cheap products in the market. People now tend to go for the cheaper product.

So, the pricing could be better.

In future releases, it can keep improving on countering the new patterns of attack. 

It's been a long time. I haven't had a customer sell one recently.

It is quite a stable product. It can actually even work for a long without service.

It is very scalable. D-Link is a very strong device that can support as many users as you want, as long as you purchase the right device.

The last time I checked, D-Link Wireless had some local support in Kenya.

I know they have local support. They support their product very well.

The initial setup is straightforward.

Other cheap products that are in the market sometimes tend to destabilize your network when you put them in. But, devices like D-Link, even their configuration wizard, are very straightforward and designed not to interfere with the network. 

The other ones, you put them in a network, it messes with the DHCP. Someone is getting a different IP than the other. So, I think that's something we have noted with these cheap network devices.

When it comes to integration, D-Link is easy to integrate, and it supports most of the technologies being introduced in the market. So we've got no problem with that.

Overall, I would rate it a seven out of ten.

D-Link is a good solution. It is well-designed, scalable, has security, and it's very durable.

We use the solution for switches and wifi routers for the computers in our branches.

The most valuable feature of D-Link Wireless is its durability.

The solution's performance could be improved.

I would not recommend D-Link Wireless to other users because of its performance issues.

The product is very good quality. Deployment is very easy and fast. We primarily use it with switches.

In a few cases, we actually installed Wi-Fi access points. We typically use it for our suites and benefit suites.

The build quality is very good, and the scalability is good. I also like the interface. It's a leading product comparable to Sophos XG and Netgear Insight. We're very satisfied with it.

Each company has its own platform. If we need specific features, we research different products and choose the one that best meets our needs. For example, if we need a solution with specific security features, we'll research and compare available options.

I would recommend using this solution. Overall, I would rate the solution a ten out of ten.

D-Link Wireless’s stability needs improvement.

We have been using D-Link Wireless for six years.

The product’s stability could be better.

We have 18 to 20 D-Link Wireless users. It is a scalable product.

The initial setup process was easy. It took 30 to 40 minutes to complete.

We take help from the resellers to maintain the product.

The product is affordable.

I recommend D-Link Wireless to others and rate it a six out of ten.

D-Link Wireless is a tool that is used since it is an easy and user-friendly product.

D-Link Wireless is a very good solution for network solutions and Wi-Fi connections for small businesses. D-Link Wireless may be a few steps behind Meraki for a location-wise stable infrastructure.

The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that the product's stability is okay.

The performance offered by D-Link Wireless can be a bit problematic at times, owing to which it is an area that can be considered for improvement.

I have experience with D-Link Wireless, though I haven't worked with it for a long time, and I was involved only in the deployment of the product for one of my company's clients, which was a three-month project.

The solution's stability is not really good, but it is okay.

If you want to scale up and use more access points, the licensing model of the product needs to be considered.

I didn't use any technical support from D-Link Wireless since my company uses support from D-Link's local partner.

The product's initial setup is straightforward and not very complex.

The solution's deployment process consists of the management of the console connectivity. I had done the deployment for the product five years ago during one of my projects, so I don't remember much about the tool's deployment phase. Recently, I haven't deployed the solution.

The installation process of D-Link Wireless is something that I can manage by myself.

Before using D-Link Wireless in my company, the other options considered included Cisco WLC and Cisco Meraki.

I recommend D-Link Wireless and other products like Cisco and Cambium for small businesses with a low budget.
