What is our primary use case?
We use it in our company and offer it to some customers. However, we're facing challenges with iScala in the public sector, specifically healthcare.
The system doesn't have sufficient support for the complexities of managing payments for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff. Considering other ERP solutions in the next few years.
The public healthcare sector is complex, and iScala's support is limited in this area. We have to program the payment modules ourselves. It has become complicated for us.
How has it helped my organization?
Inventory management improved our operations. It is a a necessary requirement for our operations; it's a core component as essential as the wheels on a car.
What is most valuable?
The accounting, purchasing, and basic ERP functions work well. But they are a little bit older, but they work for us.
The inventory management is good and necessary for any company that manages stock for production or services.
What needs improvement?
The interface looks a bit outdated.
Epicor acquired iScala, which was originally developed in Sweden. I'm unsure if their intention is to eventually replace iScala with their primary Epicor ERP or continue developing iScala. Initially, it seemed they might replace it, but it appears iScala will remain a separate product.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for 20 years now. However, I'm interested in the future development of ERP systems, but not for immediate implementation.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We have around 50 end users in our company using this solution.
iScala covers our entire company. We don't foresee needing to expand the user base.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
How was the initial setup?
There are any difficulties with managing or administering iScala. It's not a simple system to administer.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Compared to local ERP solutions, it's on the higher side.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We are looking for different ERP options right now. One of the reason is the cost, but more importantly, we're interested in options that integrate more easily with the complex systems used in the public healthcare sector.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I would rate the solution a six out of ten.
