Odin Virtuozzo is a VIP hybrid solution. All the services we run on Proxmox are running on containers.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
When you run templates on the containers on Virtuozzo they have a lot of back-ups.
What needs improvement?
Odin Virtuozzo has poor support and needs to improve. They are located in Russia and do not provide good service.
I would also like to see more local language support. Most of the team does not speak English, and we require Spanish support.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Odin Virtuozzo Containers for eight years.
How are customer service and support?
The support for this solution is terrible.
What was our ROI?
If you align your P&L with the cost, there is a lot of room to make money. If you are a customer, it will help you save money, and you can make a good case because consumers want it to be stable.
As a service provider, the customer will consume more torrents or more storage. This will make a good income for you.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The license for Odin Virtuozzo is based on consumption and demand. The pricing will be determined by your usage. The charge is based on RAM for the service you consume and how much storage you use.
The price model is designed more for service providers.
What other advice do I have?
Anyone considering this solution should not compare it to the old versions. They should be a partner with Virtuozzo and run all the certifications. Also, they need a good lab to understand the technology and how they can apply that technology conveniently.
This is very commercial software. It does not have support, so you will need to be hands-on.
I would rate Odin Virtuozzo a six out of 10 overall.
