There are no specific uses beyond it being an operating system.

I like the flexibility.

I work on the command line.

If you update certain models, it's not as easy at times.

My main issue with Ubuntu Linux is that there are too many ways to administrate Linux.

The config file can be changed in many ways, but with other solutions, there is only one way to configure the system.

In Linux, there are too many ways to configure it. My colleague configures in one way and I configure in another way, which makes it confusing.

They should unify the way to configure the Linux systems. 

You can change the ATC conflict file. You can change some distributions in another way. 

You have to look on many sites if you like to know why and why the configuration is set for in that way.

I have been using Ubuntu Linux for two years.

We have used version 16 for a long time, version 18, and version 20 for quite some time.

I have no issues with the stability of this solution.

Ubuntu Linux is scalable.

We have approximately 100 users in our organization.

Ubuntu Linux is the popular choice in our company. It is approved to continue usage.

I have never used technical support.

I only use research on the internet.

I am also using IX, HP Unix, Ubuntu, and some Linux.

It is very easy to install.

I completed the installation myself. I did not use an integrator or consultant.

I am a project manager. I am not a system administrator, I don't know about the cost.

I would recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it.

I have been using this solution for personal use and when I was in college to do some assignments. I typically install it on virtual machines.

I found using this solution pleasurable to learn since it is something different than Windows.

I have been using this solution for approximately two years.

The solution is stable.

There is a large open-sourced community that is helpful. I had a lot of problems when starting out and there was plenty of assistance throughout the community. Since everyone is helping for free the support could be better. However, this is typical when you are dealing with open-sourced solutions.

The installation was very easy and it took approximately 30 minutes.

I did the implementation myself. I installed Ubunto Linux on virtual machines which not everyone knows how to do it. You need to have prior technical knowledge.

One of the main reason users use this solution is because it is free.

I would recommend this solution to others.

Ubuntu is mainly required for work services, your domain name services, and internet public-facing services.

It is flexible. It's the best of both worlds.

It's secure.

There is a lot of content available online that can help you, if you have an issue. There is good community support to help you with any issues you may encounter.

There are several manuals online that are free and available to help you.

The repository needs improvement. 

The repository needs to be kept up to date all of the time.

With my previous employment, I have used Ubuntu Linux for approximately five years. 

It is not currently being used but has been used within the last year. 

We were not using the latest version. It was between version 16.4 and 18.4.

It's a stable solution.

I use a mix of different solutions, two of which are Ubuntu Linux and CentOS.

The initial setup is straightforward and it is only ten minutes maximum to deploy.

We have one engineer to maintain this solution. It is not complex. It's something you install, configure, and walk away from.

We did not use a consultant, we completed the installation ourselves.

We don't pay any fees.

I would recommend this solution, and it works quite well.

We are using this solution for one of our projects where it requires an open-source toolchain for web application development.

The tools we are using for this project are compatible with this solution.

We used help from an expert engineer to do the implementation. 

We do not like this solution and we are only using it because the project we are working on demands it.

We use the solution in the company where I work as an operating system. Whenever you are doing some serious development, you deploy this solution on a Unix platform.

The main feature of the solution is it has a command-line editor.

I find the solution could be easier to use, more flexible, user-friendly, and have a better UI.

In the future, I would like to see easier deployment.

Once you are used to it, it is quite flexible. It is more powerful because you have more control over it.

It's not as easy to use as Windows by Microsoft. It could be easier to use.

It is stable to an extent. Microsoft and Apple are more stable.

The stability definitely can be improved. When we are implementing patches and new releases, it tends to fail.

We have one customer using Ubuntu.

People tend to use Google to try to solve the problem they may be having.

The initial setup can be complex. The installation could be simplified.

It can take a couple of hours to implement.

I would recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it.

It is used for everything. We use it for our mail server and cloud solution server. You can also use it as an Active Directory (AD) Server instead of a Windows Server.

It is stable and modern.

It should be easier and lighter. I am more experienced in working with CentOS, and I find CentOS much easier to use than Ubuntu. Ubuntu is more complicated than CentOS. Ubuntu is also heavier for hardware than centOS.

I have been using this solution for several years.

It is stable.

It is scalable. Its usage is being increased all the time.

I have never used their support. I am technical support.

I only use the server version.

It is open source.

I would recommend this solution. I would rate Ubuntu Linux a seven out of ten.

We use this solution to install multiple applications in our environment.

It keeps you secure from virus and malware attacks.

The interface could be more user-friendly.

AIX is very old today.

The initial setup is straightforward. It's easy, very simple.

We have a team of five people to deploy and maintain this solution.

This is a solution that I can recommend to other users who are interested in using it.
