The improvement I believe can be made to Files.com involves having the ability for group admin to have more user access and permission access to add users and delete users. That is really our only concern right now, as Files.com does pretty much everything else that we want it to, besides that.
One way Files.com can be improved is that logging is not intuitive and managing different levels of user permissions is currently not possible. Files.com's unified namespace has not affected my organization's file accessibility. I have not set granular permissions to users through Files.com because it is currently not possible; I do use the API, but that is only for internal admin tools.

Some of the bigger improvements I could see would be in the setup of users and how long it takes. It's a little tedious right now to set up users and get permissions rolled out across all the different business and user groups that we have. Files.com is rolling out a new partner management piece of the platform that looks to help a lot with that. Files.com has addressed these issues in the upcoming releases.
I am not aware of any way that Files.com can be improved. We are looking forward to seeing what other applications and ways that we can utilize it within our company to do additional file transferring and sharing processes in workflows that we have in other areas. I have not experienced any changes in operational efficiency due to Files.com's support for multiple protocols. Files.com's unified namespace has not affected our organization's file accessibility.

Due to the way the site is architected and the way groups are sometimes malleable and change, there is a need to overcome the architecture of the site because the hard-coded URLs are providing some challenges. The URL structure and the items within folders in Files.com are all tied and seem to be hard-coded. A specific improvement would be if objects and folders were all given unique identifiers that never change so that the architecture and file structure could change on the fly and in an ad hoc way without causing problems with how it is architected against the data, more in the way that Google Drive and Google Documents and Sheets handle their URLs and item identifiers. This is the specific hurdle being faced in trying to automate things that need to be put into it while maintaining confidence in it. The data and file structure need to be handled and identified at different layers, whereas right now they are both on the same layer.

Files.com can be improved by enhancing the overall training that's available and providing example use cases, as it is a far more powerful platform than a naive user would think.

The UI of Files.com is somewhat outdated and some navigation elements are confusing, but overall, it is acceptable. The automation part could benefit from a more graphical interface to enhance readability. Regarding changes in operational efficiency due to Files.com's support for multiple protocols, this feature has not been utilized extensively, but it has streamlined processes that used to be manual, where users had to log into systems to transfer files, making it a blocker.
I do not have any specific outcomes or metrics that show how Files.com has helped, such as time saved, fewer errors, or improved security. Nothing comes to mind in terms of how Files.com can be improved, and I cannot think of anything to add about needed improvements, even small things or nice-to-have features.

I do not know how Files.com can be improved, but that is why I am going to their Files.com meeting in Austin to learn more about the product and see how we can improve our operations. Possible improvements include the use of AI and workflow improvement.
Most of the content is pretty well listed on their portal. The only thing is that their pricing may be somewhat not suitable for many customers. I find it a little costly. For a small organization, they may find it costly. The features you want to have, such as 24/7 premium technical support or data security standards, are included in their costly packages that need to be subscribed to.
One area where Files.com can be improved is that it has a very expensive cost model that does not have a lot of flexibility in it compared to other similar products.
I don't see much area for improvement. I love their technical support as they are eager to jump on a call, look at the big picture, make recommendations, and guide us through the recommendation on how to set things up and our goals, so I'm very pleased with Files.com in every aspect. I can't really think of anything as it matches my expectations and sometimes goes beyond.

There is a requirement to simplify access, particularly for managing large amounts of stored data within Files.com. Instead of navigating through firewall rules, etc., users seek the ability to bypass two-factor authentication when logging in via username and password. Missing this toggle could necessitate recreating the account. Additionally, there's a lack of clarity regarding users under this system, making monitoring challenging. However, Files.com does offer SSO, which addresses many of these concerns. The solution should show more in terms of the way we navigate things like FTP or FTPS with a username/password configuration, if not through SSO. It requires the use of an API key, among other things. There are workarounds and ways to address a few of these issues.

One area for improvement is to scan the files to look for errors and alert us when a file has errors. The team is currently working on that.
There are no improvements needed at this time.
