The most valuable feature is the strong authentication feature, which requires users to enter a one-time password (OTP) in addition to their username and password. This adds an extra layer of security and makes it more difficult for unauthorized users to access the system.
The main issue I've noticed pertains to setting up the desktop client on virtual machines in Azure, GCP, or AWS, specifically for Entrust Identity Enterprise intended for on-premises use. It works for on-premises, but I'm not sure if it's fully supported in cloud environments. If support were added, it would function perfectly with on-premises configurations.
So, it functions well on-premises, but integrating it with cloud services like AWS or Azure could be challenging. There are issues with cloud integrations, such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
I started using it in 2021. So, it has been two years.
It's stable, but sometimes customers report issues, such as sync connection problems or inability to sync. In those cases, we need to check the logs to identify the root cause.

After setting up the database, you proceed to install Entrust Identity Enterprise. You then connect the Entrust security support to the pre-configured database. Once the connection is successful, you can proceed to license activation, selecting master passwords, and initializing the system.
This includes creating a threat administrator and accessing the system via the web console. Finally, you configure users, set policies, and assign tokens as needed.
It's worth the money.

You can also face attacks from compromised client credentials. Entrust covers the entire spectrum.
Login security is the best investment a client can make, but it requires sophisticated technology and an advanced risk engine. It also must be frictionless. That's what Entrust offers. They're the leaders in identity and access management. Entrust is at the forefront of the zero-trust movement.
I am impressed with Entrust because they are one of the most advanced identity access management companies. Their portfolio of products is well aligned with the CISA zero trust framework. If you compare the features of Entrust products with the CISA pillars of zero trust, you'll see that they're perfectly matched with CISA requirements.
Entrust offers advanced frictionless multifactor authentication with a very sophisticated risk engine. The risk engine is a critical component of user authentication because risk scanning has multiple variables, including geolocation.
When you're receiving attacks from an internet-facing side of the equation, the risk is greater for login attempts that originate outside of your home country. For example, the risk engine detects that a person is trying to authenticate with these credentials, but he's not in Puerto Rico. He's in Russia. You immediately deny access.
Employees can do multifactor authentication with face ID or a push notification on their phone. They only need to put their faces up to the phone and press "yes" to be securely identified. It's a highly secure, frictionless form of authentication.

We cover most of the banks here in Panama and the rest of Central America with the solution. It's very good. Our customers use the solution for authentications in online banking and transactions and cloud portals (like for example, Office 365), among other things. They also use it for accessing their VPNs, desktops, or servers.
It is very easy to use and very reliable. Their documentation is very consistent. They do introduce new features, but they do not change everything with new versions. It's very easy for customers to adapt to a new version.
Besides that, for example, for customers that require programming, they always keep three APIs on each person. For example, let's say that we're on version 12 right now and version 13 comes out. The API that I'm using for version 12 will be still usable for version 13. That means that I don't have to record everything again. I can still use my same programming and source code. That's very good because they keep three versions of the API in that sense. It's easy for customers to navigate.
It would be better if the on-prem Entrust Identity Enterprise solution could have the same features as the cloud version because the latter is more easy to use. New features are always implemented on the cloud version first. In turn, I would also like to see the reporting that's available in the on-premise version on the cloud.

Entrust Identity Enterprise is very stable both on the cloud and on-premise. It's very stable.
Both versions of the solution are scalable. It's so scalable that you can even migrate from the on-premise version to the cloud version. That is something that they have done very well.
They do have good support.
I found the initial setup on the on-prem version difficult. However, the setup of the cloud version is very straightforward. The part of the process that deals with sending messages is more difficult in the on-prem version. However, authentication is very good in the on-premise version and the reporting tool there is better than on the cloud. So, each version has its own strengths.
Furthermore, deployment with the cloud version happens in a matter of minutes. All you have to do is open an account and the solution is already waiting for you. You only have to set something up if you're doing like a VPN. On premise, it can take a bit longer; maybe a couple of hours. This is all because you have to set up a database and an application server for the solution, which takes longer.
Entrust Identity Enterprise is a very mature product. It is very reliable and there are many use cases for which you can use the solution. You can deploy it for many things, including BPS, authentication of servers, authentication of block stations, authentication of cloud portals, authentication of customers, online banking websites, and e-commerce.

It comes with different features and capabilities, such as verifying a user's authenticity before they are allowed to log in.
