I have been using Oracle OBIEE for one year, and I am currently working on Oracle E-Business Suite. I had worked on Oracle OBIEE previously, two or three years back when I completed a project for Oracle OBIEE. Currently, I am on Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion.

I have been working with Oracle Fusion for one year and Oracle EBS for five years.

I am also working with Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Fusion Cloud. I have seen the EPM instance but have not worked with the EPM application.

Oracle Sales Contracts, Project Contracts, and Procurement Contracts are modules for Oracle E-Business Suite. I have worked on Oracle Supply Chain module, Financials, and HRMS. I have seen the Oracle Contracts module but have not done the implementation for this.

Besides Oracle E-Business Suite, I am not working with Oracle BPM or WebCenter or VDI.

The most valuable features I find in Oracle BPM include a unified process management platform, human workflow management, and process simulation and optimization.

I see that it is integrated with other ERPs. If you integrate it with human HRMS workflow management, then it will provide integration with HRMS for Oracle E-Business Suite and for process analytics and business.

Regarding the Process Analytics feature, which features are you referring to?

I have been using Oracle OBIEE for one year and Oracle EBS for five years.

The overall pricing of the product is around $1,000 per user, or the licensing of Oracle BPM will cost around $50,000 plus.

I have seen Oracle BPM and I have also seen Oracle WebCenter. I am not using these products myself; I recommend them to my customers. I would recommend Oracle BPM for companies in the banking industry, insurance industry, textile industry, manufacturing, and service industries. I have worked with all these industries and I am currently working in the banking industry and the insurance industry. I would rate this review a 6 overall.

The specific use case depends on the requirements of the customer, typically involving the implementation of workflows integrated with various applications. As a developer, I cater to the needs of my clients by creating tailored solutions that align with their demands.

We utilized Oracle BPM to automate various administrative processes within our organization, specifically focusing on eliminating paper-based workflows related to licensing procedures in our environment.

Oracle BPM enabled collaboration between our IT and business teams for effective process management. Utilizing the Oracle VPN, we experienced significant improvements in process efficiency. For instance, a process that previously took forty days before implementation was reduced to just twenty minutes after implementing Oracle BPM. This remarkable reduction in time demonstrates the substantial benefits brought about by the solution.

The solution is comprehensive, encompassing modeling, implementation, and runtime capabilities. Additionally, by leveraging this platform, we seamlessly integrated Oracle Portal and Oracle Document Management, providing a complete solution within the Oracle ecosystem.

The integration capabilities of Oracle BPM with other systems significantly influenced our workflow. Our workflow was impacted positively by these integrations. Initially, we utilized Oracle BPM alongside other Oracle products such as Oracle Context Manager, Oracle Portal, and Oracle Document Management. Despite using multiple products, they are seamlessly integrated, providing a comprehensive solution for our clients. This solution encompassed document management, workflow control, process execution, and automation, effectively streamlining processes and eliminating bureaucratic hurdles. The transparency and efficiency achieved through this integrated approach were highly beneficial for our clients.

One of the most valuable features is its user-friendly API, which simplifies the implementation of workflows, such as managing inbox tasks for specific users within BPM profiles. This streamlined API makes it easier for me to integrate workflows into client applications and efficiently handle task management through API calls.

There is room for improvement in the pricing structure.

I have been working with it for five years.

The scalability of the platform is exceptional. If you have the financial resources to invest in it, I highly recommend it, as its performance is outstanding. When I implemented it for the government, the user base exceeded four hundred.

The support provided for implementation was excellent. The books and online documentation were very helpful, and I found the online courses for Oracle BPM platform to be particularly beneficial.  I would rate it ten out of ten.

The initial setup was somewhat challenging but we had a support from Oracle team.

For deployment, we required a team of ten developers. The maintenance involved training the government team and providing ongoing support tailored to the specific needs of the government departments. 
After deployment, the solution entered production. We encountered some issues, but I believe these were typical for a first deployment. Oracle promptly addressed these problems, showcasing their excellent support during deployment.

The return on investment is substantial, but the initial investment is quite high. Particularly in the case of government implementation, the benefits extend beyond financial gains to include environmental benefits due to the reduction in paper usage. Manual processing in Brazilian government offices typically results in significant paper consumption, making the transition to digital processes impactful. Additionally, the time saved within our company is remarkable, leading to increased efficiency and reduced manpower requirements. For example, the reduction in processing time from forty days to twenty minutes demonstrates the significant efficiency gains achieved.

The pricing is significantly high, particularly for Brazil where fluctuations in the exchange rate between the dollar and the real can further increase the cost of Oracle licenses.

Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

Our application workflows and tasks are orchestrated through Oracle BPM. There are departmental staff whose tasks are currently managed by the solution.

Currently, we define the tasks, and based on certain decision rules, the tool decides the task priorities and the time frame of the task. If a task is not actioned within a certain time frame, it gets escalated to a different queue. It can also invoke other services.

The solution's licensing cost is very high.

I have been using Oracle BPM for five years.

Oracle BPM is a stable solution.

For my application, the number of users of Oracle BPM is around 120.

I rate the solution a seven to eight out of ten for scalability.

Whenever we have issues, we log a ticket on Oracle's support site, and the support team responds pretty well.

The solution's initial setup is mediumly easy. It's neither very complex like Oracle Identity Management nor very simple.

Currently, Oracle BPM is integrated with different applications, and the workflow decides which part it has to take. The solution is on the Oracle Fusion platform. It has integration with other services, which are essentially normal Java-based applications. Oracle BPM also provides a task query service that allows you to customize your user interface, retrieve the data, and display it as per user convenience. I would recommend the solution to other users.

Overall, I rate Oracle BPM a seven out of ten.

It's instrumental for engineers in managing their business processes. It stands out as one of the tools they readily adopt. The original service is crucial, but the features of BPM, especially in enhancing enterprise architecture and refining processes, make it a standout solution.

The ability to define business processes and align them with various resources, workflows, and concepts is a standout feature. It allows for a precise definition of the flow of activities, making it one of the finest features.

In terms of our overall data science solution, pricing is an area that could use improvement. However, in terms of features, the analytics perform exceptionally well. The entire suite could benefit from faster processing, and that's an area for improvement. 

Pricing should be looked into. Additionally, the technical understanding of the company and the team is not as fast as it could be. So, more focus on marketing is needed. We have very few skill sets, even from the technical team, that understand the platform. Customers tend to look for open-source solutions without fully understanding the capabilities of the Oracle BPM solution. So, marketing would be crucial to showcase its features.

It's been a significant time span, over five years. I've been thoroughly engaged with it, and I'm quite satisfied with the entire experience. It encompasses the service bus as well.

In terms of performance and capabilities, the product is quite sound. I would rate the stability an eight out of ten. 

It's quite scalable, I would rate it an eight out of ten for scalability. Being an enterprise solution, it caters well to customers, including those with larger operations. The scalability capabilities are good.

It caters to all. Small enterprises may find the pricing a bit challenging, but for medium and large enterprises, it shouldn't be an issue. Price might still be a consideration, but it's a strong feature for medium and large businesses.

For enterprises, especially considering the global pricing structure and financial performance of institutions, except for banks, it tends to be higher.

I would rate my experience with the initial setup an eight out of ten, where one is easy and ten is difficult. 

The initial setup usually takes less than five days. For a complex environment, it could be longer, depending on factors like company size and the number of business processes. Small entities may require less time, while larger ones might need more.

For me, it all boils down to the technical capability of the individual defining the solution. Those with good knowledge and experience find it easier. Overall, the implementation is generally straightforward.

The pricing is very expensive. It's a challenge for most of our customers. Because we go with global prices, it's similar to the global pricing. So, the licensing aligns with the global pricing.

I've focused on Oracle. I've done a lot of research, and I consider it one of the best solutions.

I would recommend using the solution. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten because it's mainly the pricing. 

The solution is deployed on-premises.

The user interface is very good. Once you understand it, it's easy to define rules and do any configurations. It comes with an embedded WebLogic application server, which you have to deploy automatically. Once you run the given binary, it will automatically keep everything on the backend. You'll have to create an instant database, and maintain or manage it based on the rules engine. After that, your system is ready to test.

The most valuable feature is the complete workflow through the BPM, from making it available as a generated code based on the backend, deploying it in the test environment, and then going to production. Throughout the testing, everything was good. Many customers are interested in the rules engine.

A lot of requests pass through BPM because it's integrated with a lot of other applications or sub-applications.

The price is a little expensive for me. The ROE could be improved.

The time it takes to get from deployment to production could be faster. We had to make a lot of little changes in the design. Enabling those changes, testing, and deploying the solution becomes time consuming.

If there's a specific issue with the product itself, then interacting with the customer support team and getting the new package or new updates from Oracle is time consuming.

I have used this solution for more than three years.

I would rate the stability as four out of five.

We have tested for one million concurrent requests without any hampering of the performance or any issues with the application.

I would rate the scalability as 4.5 out of 5.

The scalability is good. Based on the demand, it can increase the CPU memory. It depends on the deployment. If it's on-premises, then you can add more virtual machines into your cluster. If you're deploying it on cloud, you can implement autoscaling.

I would rate technical support as 3.5 out of 5.

When we make a query to Oracle, they normally respond a little late because of our specific package.

I would rate the setup as four out of five.

For our implementation strategy, we did some load testing. We expected that the system could handle many concurrent requests and that it would be stable without any issues. Then, we increased to 20,000 requests. There weren't any errors, memory issues, or failures on the network side. The security, utilization, and everything else that we monitored was fine.

I would rate ROI as 4.5 out of 5. 

Whenever you're using a BPM tool, you must have a backbone enterprise application. If the backbone application is specifically for a telco or banking domain, then there will be a different return on investment. I think it's always a good return on investment for large companies.

I would rate the pricing as 3.5 out of 5.

These days, most solutions are expensive. Oracle is good, but they're still expensive compared to other vendors.

I would rate this solution as eight out of ten.

What I found most valuable in Oracle BPM is that it has a lot of out-of-the-box integrations. The solution also provides a lot of adapters which is very helpful.

Though Oracle BPM is a stable solution, it's very heavy, so this is one area for improvement. If Oracle can make the components of Oracle BPM lighter, and if the deployment for the solution could be easier, that would make Oracle BPM better.

I've used Oracle BPM for the past four years.

Oracle BPM is a stable solution.

Oracle BPM doesn't seem that scalable, but because I'm using the on-premise version, I don't face that much challenge in terms of scalability.

The technical support for Oracle BPM isn't very good. You'll face a lot of challenges with support. You raise tickets and support gets back to you very late. Oracle BPM support isn't good at all.

On a scale of one to five, my rating for the technical support team is two.

To set up Oracle BPM, you just have to follow instructions. The vendor provides the zip files.

Setting up Oracle BPM on-premises isn't that difficult because you just need to follow the steps.

On a scale of one to five, I'm rating the initial setup for Oracle BPM a three.

I don't have information on the exact cost of Oracle BPM because a different team handles that, but it's pretty high. Oracle products are very costly.

I would rate pricing for Oracle BPM three out of five. Though the pricing is high, the solution has a lot of features.

We're still evaluating Camunda because we're looking for a lighter solution with easier deployment, but we didn't see much of the out-of-the-box support for the adapters that you get from Oracle BPM, which means we'll have to write codes should we decide to switch to Camunda.

We're currently busy, so we're not yet done with the evaluation. We may need to get in touch with the Camunda team to check if they can solve those problems, but right now, we're still with Oracle BPM.

I use Oracle BPM.

The advice I would give to anyone who wants to implement Oracle BPM is that if you have a BPM background and you know how to use BPM solutions, it won't be that difficult to use Oracle BPM, especially because it has out-of-the-box features. If Oracle BPM comes with a middleware SOA solution, you can go ahead and integrate it with a lot of services. If you have an Oracle Fusion Middleware environment and you have other SOA-related services going on, you'll find it easier to implement and use Oracle BPM.

My rating for Oracle BPM is seven out of ten. It's a seven for me because the UI of the solution needs improvement. For example, if you have human tasks, you'll have to develop a UI, so the UI technology, particularly ADF in Oracle BPM, is very heavy, plus the learning curve is very high. This is why nowadays, my team uses Angular together with Oracle BPM Worklist services. From the perspective of SOAP services, Oracle BPM is good, but in terms of REST services, the solution isn't that good, so my team decided to implement SOAP.

If you go for the out-of-the-box REST services, a lot doesn't seem to work properly, plus the documentation also fails, and there's not much support. If you go with other SOAP services, Oracle BPM is fine, and you can use it out of the box for the Worklist services then you can integrate it with the pages that you develop or with Angular or some other light UI solution. ADF is very heavy, and overall, Oracle BPM is heavy because it comes with a lot of components.

My company has a platinum partnership with Oracle.

Oracle BPM is used as a tool integrated into another system. It helps in business process management and the generation of reports, predominantly at the end of the month.

For any new deployment of any system, it helps in improving some efficiencies, which is the reason for having the system.

It is easy to use in a business processing suite.

Oracle BPM should allow integration with external, common APIs.

I have worked with Oracle BPM for approximately two years.

Stability issues arise mostly due to internet problems. Without a stable internet connection, the stability decreases.

I would rate the scalability of Oracle BPM an eight out of ten.

I have not directly interacted with Oracle's technical support. I generally use online manuals, guidelines, and AI solutions for support.

The initial setup is straightforward.

The licensing is expensive. It needs to be more affordable, especially in the Kenyan market.

Based on my experience, I would recommend Oracle BPM to other people.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

I work extensively with the public sector, which involves a lot of administrative processing. I have used Oracle BPM for processes like documentation processing for recognition, death and marriage registration, as well as for government pension fund registration. It supports core processes that require approval or service provision to citizens.

Oracle BPM should ensure its product is aligned with current technology by keeping up with advancements like AI. There are delays in offering the latest technology, so there is a need to be more responsive to technological changes.

I have used Oracle BPM since 2012 up to the present.

Oracle BPM is very stable and is used to automate critical processes, which are often the core business operations of various organizations. It is essential that the solution remains stable for the customers who rely on it for key processes.

I would rate the scalability of Oracle BPM between eight and nine out of ten. It is quite scalable and can be applied to enterprise-level organizations effectively.

Technical support for Oracle BPM is very good. I have not had issues with the BPM component itself, though there have been minor issues with middleware components in the past.

The initial setup of Oracle BPM is easy, especially for those familiar with BPM and related technologies. Customers with experience in areas like web flow find it easy to adapt quickly.

Oracle BPM provides a good return on investment. Most customers see benefits within six months to a year. Implementing a few critical processes first helps in reaping benefits sooner.

Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Oracle BPM to others. 

I rate the overall solution nine out of ten.

I implement the solution and my colleagues use the solution for data lineage. Recently we’ve started using the solution for glossaries.

I find the data lineage features most valuable.

There are some difficulties in reading the data lineage because if you are using packages or something similar, you cannot deep dive in it. You have to maintain it manually.

I would like to see Oracle enhance the solution automatically reading from SQL. That would be great for function packages. That might be difficult, though.

I rate the solution’s scalability an eight out of ten. My client is an enterprise business.

Technical support always answers, but they take a long time or misunderstand the issue.

We received the product packaged into the Oracle database solution.

If you are working with data and data flows and you have data or business glossaries, I highly recommend the solution. I rate the product an eight out of ten.

Oracle BPM has standard features.

Oracle BPM is hard to configure and requires some experience to use it. It is a complicated tool. The documentation could also be improved. It is hard to easily find configuration information or user manual on the internet.

We have used this solution for five years. We use a version that is compatible with our company. It is deployed on-premises.

The stability is good. 

I am unsure about scalability because we don't have much experience with it. We have two admins using the product in our company and about 250 users. We only needed two employees for deployment and maintenance.

I rate the technical support a four out of ten. It is hard to get technical support from Oracle. Generally, Oracle partners provide support.

We used an IBM Solution and Camunda in the past. Camunda is the best, and they only use the community edition.

The initial setup was straightforward, and it took us one day to deploy. It can be deployed with an integrator. I rate the setup a six out of ten.

We have not seen an ROI yet. 

I rate the pricing of Oracle BPM an eight out of ten. It is easy and cheap, and we have a reasonable license.

I rate this solution a six out of ten. Regarding advice, anyone using Oracle BPM needs to have experienced employees.
