|---|---|---|
| MD at a media company with 1-10 employees | 3.5 | I am impressed with PGi GlobalMeet's production support, although it is slow in updating changes and has a poor dashboard operating system. |
| System Analyst at a logistics company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 5.0 | I find PGi's GlobalMeet a stable and cost-effective web conferencing solution with excellent customer support and valuable Outlook integration. My only suggestion is to enhance the presenter interface during screen sharing for an even smoother experience. |
| AssetZone Lead Analyst at a logistics company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 5.0 | I find Global Meet user-friendly for web sharing and training, with valuable recording features and easy setup. While guest login could be simpler, I'm glad we switched; it's a cost-saving solution. |
| Marketing Communications Specialist at a tech services company with 51-200 employees | 5.0 | I highly recommend this tool, especially its 'call-me' feature and stable file library, for improving meeting efficiency. Support is excellent, though the polling tool has had past issues. It's superior to GoToMeeting and WebEx. |
| Director, Product Development at a media company with 10,001+ employees | 4.5 | I've happily used GlobalMeet Audio for over seven years. Its exceptional reliability means no dial-in issues or drop-outs, significantly improving our efficiency. This stability, superior to free alternatives, makes it an invaluable, consistent conferencing solution. |
| biometric screening event manager at a wellness & fitness company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.0 | I find GlobalMeet excellent for remote screen sharing, training, and meetings, greatly improving our company's communication. Setup was easy, and customer service is great. It occasionally slows with many users, but I highly recommend it. |
| EM at a wellness & fitness company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.0 | GlobalMeet is excellent for efficient collaboration, especially with video and screen sharing, and I found the setup easy. However, I've experienced performance lags and crashes during larger, high-priority meetings, and I'd prefer a clearer screen-sharing notification. |
| Trainer at a tech services company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.0 | I find Global Meet excellent for connecting leaders and sharing presentations, with great support. My main issue is the unreliable recording feature and the surprising 30-day storage limit, a deployment detail I wish I'd known beforehand. |
| Event Manager Supervisor at a wellness & fitness company with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.5 | I value its sharing, presenting, and remote meeting features for my team. However, I experienced significant connectivity problems and people getting kicked off during long sessions, forcing a platform switch. |
| Training Manager at a manufacturing company | 4.5 | I appreciate GlobalMeet's Outlook integration for easy meetings and its beneficial attendance reports, though I wish reports were available instantly. Customer service is excellent. |
I am impressed with the tool's production support.
The tool is slow in updating changes. It also has a poor dashboard operating system.
I have been using the product for five years.
I would rate the tool's stability a ten out of ten.
I would rate the solution's scalability a ten out of ten.
The tool's deployment is easy.
The solution is expensive. I would rate the product's pricing an eight out of ten and it is yearly.
I would rate the product a seven out of ten. The tool offers good production support.
Scheduling meetings, the Outlook plug-in, recording live meetings.
This software plug-in is built-in to our Outlook so we are able to sync our calendars to show all meetings and webinars its great!
The presenter experience can be improved: Increase the presenter interface to show the attendees and chat while in a screen share (not viewable by the others) without having to navigate away from your current window for a smoother presentation.
I was hired on after this was adopted.
No, this program has been very stable.
No, we were able to meet our company's needs.
The level of customer service is fabulous. PGi has a wonder staff that is always willing to help and go above and beyond.
Technical Support:The level of technical support is great! PGi has a wonderful staff that is always willing to go above and beyond.
Yes, our company switched over to PGi's services a little over a year ago.
Yes, I believe it was a very smooth transition over to the new products.
I believe it was in-house. I was not working at the time of the transition so I can't speak to much on this matter.
GlobalMeet has been a great cost-savings for our company. We are very happy with PGi's services and products.
Our company used a different company in the past that offered similar products and we decided to switch over for the cost savings benefits overall.
I highly recommend PGi solutions. Their products are top-of-the-line and offer a great option for web conferencing.
I use Global Meet every day for web sharing and training/demo purposes. I like the features it offers including the recording feature and ability to hold documents on the presentation board.
Our company adopted this program about a year ago or so and it has been easy to share screens with internal and external users.
I would like the presenter able to view the attendees list at all times without having to pause. the guest login could be a little easier. I get a lot of questions about logging in.
Our company adopted this program about a year ago or so and it has been easy to share screens with internal and external users.
No. I have not encountered any issues regarding deployment. This program is very user-friendly and is very easy to use.
No. I have not encountered any issues regarding stability. This program is very user-friendly and is very easy to use.
No. I have not encountered any issues regarding scalability. This program is very user-friendly and is very easy to use. This has a larger scale of attendees than my old system.
I haven't had to reach out to Customer service at all. The system is very user friendly and very easy to use.
Technical Support:I haven't had to use the technical support feature of this app but I have looked at the help section and have the looked through the options.
Yes, our company made it a mandatory switch. This system offers more than our other program we used in the past. I like using this system much more than our older version.
The initial setup of my PGI account was very easy and straight-forward. Very user friendly. A simple email and sign up process.
I don't really remember which it was but I really enjoy this new system. I'm glad we switched over and the cost saving
We are saving money using this program opposed to our old system. We are definitely saving money using PGI then our old system.
The last web sharing we used was Skype and Level 3 Web meeting service. both have pros and cons but global meet allows for recordings which is great!
I really enjoy the new web sharing program and will continue to use this for my presentations and trainings.
The call-me feature is my absolute favorite. It is the best way to ensure that no one is late to the meeting. You write it your phone number and just wait for the meeting to call you. It doesn't get any simpler than that.
My other favorite thing is the file library. It was very easy to organize, use and I never experienced any bugs. Plus, it supports an array of files and animations in PPT.
It improved the way our organization functions in two ways:
1) Meetings actually start on time now and are much less frustrating
2) We no longer have to play the "who's on the line" game as we can see directly who is online and who is talking. Again, it just makes the meeting go smoother and creates an experience closer to what you would experience if everyone was in the same room.
Honestly, the tool has come a long way since it was first launched. I guess if I could recommend is to make sure that the polling tool functions properly as I've dealt with issues in the passed.
Over 3 years now
I've never encountered issues with deployment as I was never on that end of the process. From what I understand, there were no issues.
Apart from the polling tool has issues from time to time, I never experienced issue. The audio is good and the file library was very stable.
We never had meetings big enough to have issues with scalability so I could not speak to this point properly.
Definitely a solid 10 out of 10 as you can have access to support anytime. Even in the middle of a meeting. The good thing is that I never really had to use support.
Technical Support:Same, 10 out of 10. It's great to know that you can get help at any time and talk to a real person. I've also never really needed support as the tool is pretty easy to use.
I previously used Go-To-Meeting. I switched because I changed companies, but to be honest, now that I have used GlobalMeet, I could never go back. The are too many lacking features in GoToMeeting.
I just received my information and logged in. It was as straightforward as that. Incredibly simple and no download required. I don't know how other vendors proceed so I cannot compare.
I was not the person who implemented the solution so I can't speak to this point. I cannot rate the level of expertise of the team in this situation.
I am not the person in charge of calculating and finding out this information so I cannot answer this question.
I would go with the audio and web conferencing bundle with at least 10,000 minutes in audio so you don't have to worry about running out of time.
I was not the person in charge of this decision so I cannot speak adequately to this point. I have used WebEx and GoToMeeting in the past and would definitely recommend using GlobalMeet over these two solutions.
I would absolutely recommend using GlobalMeet. It is a great solution that is easy and really makes meetings more enjoyable.
I regularly use GlobalMeet Audio for my audio conferencing. Unlike other conferencing services, we've never had any issues with not being able to dial-in or sudden drop-outs when using GlobalMeet Audio. I especially like that after a call ends I'll receive an automatic email from the system giving me the phone #s of those that joined and how long each line was connected.
The most noticeable area of improvement is overall efficiency. We don't have any trouble dial-in or with audio so it never slows us down or distracts us for any amount of time.
None that I can think of. We've been happy with the product as is and have never had to reach out to our account manager to request any featured that we felt were missing or deficient.
I don't recall exactly how long we've been using the product but it's been about 7+ years.
No, it's quick and simple to get started. Most of the team relies on using the same dedicated conference line for all our meetings and we start to learn the dial-ins by heart. Since they remain consistent there's no need to rely on typing in the dial-in and passcode from your phone or calendar invite every time.
No, quite the opposite actually. This has been the most stable audio conferencing service we've used compared to other competitors we've used. FreeConferenceCall.com for example has been the most unreliable because sometimes you'll have to enter the dial-in multiple times or the audio quality is poor. I don't recall any issues with GlobalMeet ever delaying or preventing us from meeting.
No. It's quick to setup additional lines for other users even though there can be a cost involved. We've found it helpful to have a handful of dedicated conference lines for heavy users so they can repeatedly use the same line for multiple calls throughout the day.
I have rarely had to work with customer service because the product has been reliable. However, based on the type of marketing emails and overall professionalism I've received while working with our account manager I believe their customer service would be responsive and helpful as well.
Technical Support:I don't recall ever needing to work with technical support because the product has been reliable. When we've had minor technical questions we've reached out to our account manager and they have been able to quickly respond. If there were any more advanced questions I believe they would escalate our issues to their technical support team but that has not occurred to date.
We've been using GlobalMeet Audio for long enough now that I don't recall what other options we used prior to working with them. I know other teams within our organization have worked with FreeConferenceCall.com with limited success which is part of what has lead us to expand our relationship with GlobalMeet and PGi.
The initial setup was a straightforward as can be. Minimal training was needed. It's helpful to learn a few shortcuts to mute/unmute all lines and that has been sufficient enough for our needs.
We were assigned an account manager from PGi and almost all of our setup and training has been accomplished by them. We did not work with any vendor other than directly with PGi.
It's hard to say. There are free audio conferencing services out there but we've found that you get what you pay for and while sometimes they'll work for small groups, they don't scale well and can have issues with a larger number of participants. I believe that the nominal additional cost for GlobalMeet is outweighed by having a reliable conferencing system that never embarrasses the organization with technical issues.
I would find a small plan that is slightly above your current needs. We found that once we began using the service that others adopted it quickly and availability became more limited. It's been quick and simple to expand our commitment though.
We did not evaluate any other paid options before going with PGi. We had previously used some free options like Skype and FreeConferenceCall.com with varied success. Skype was a more reliable, and potentially free, product compared to FreeConferenceCall.com which is not reliable in our experience.
No, none at this time. Give it a try with a demo and see what you think. I believe that most will find it to be a good solution with reliable results. The products seem to be updated and maintained regularly to keep them competitive.
GloablMeet is excellent for screen sharing, trainings and meetings with a company that works remotely. GlobalMeet is a great way for our company to communicate and share new trainings and programs with everyone since we are a remote company. The onsite service team uses GlobalMeet mostly for screen sharing and trainings but the company also uses GlobalMeet for Webinars as well.
GlobalMeet improved our company by allowing our on-site service team to better communicate with each other through trainings and meetings while staying at our remote location. We were also able to screen share to better understand what was going on in the trainings and meetings.
When you get a large number of users on GlobalMeet is tends to slow things down a little bit but with the support group at hand things picked back up quickly. Also make sure that you are connected to a hardwire internet for better service.
A few months now.
We did not encounter any issues with the deployment of GlobalMeet. Our company has never really encountered any problems when using this product.
The only issue that we experienced with the stability of GlobalMeet was when we had a lot of participants on the meeting at one time it slowed things down and made it hard to stay connected.
We have never experienced a problem with the scalability of GlobalMeet. It has always worked for the needs and growth of our company.
Customer Service is excellent with GlobalMeet. The support group is great and the program itself was easily accessible.
Technical Support:I personally have not directly used Global Meet technical support but my company has and they speak highly of it. They state that they are always there to help and address the problem in a timely manner.
We have always used outlook or Lync before going through GlobalMeet for meetings to take place and it was not as easy and accessible as GlobalMeet is.
The initial set up was very straightforward and easy to use when installing the apps and getting everything set up.
I am not sure with the implementation as I was not involved in getting this set up for my company. Our corporate headquarters implemented GlobalMeet into the company.
The ROI I am sure is very great with our company in the ability to hold meetings and do trainings from our remote location instead of flying us all in to do the trainings.
I am not sure about the pricing and licensing because I was not involved in this process. Our corporate headquarters did all the purchasing of GlobalMeet.
I am not sure if any other options were evaluated besides what we were currently using and then GlobalMeet itself. I use GlobalMeet for the meetings and trainings but I was not in charge of choosing the program itself.
I do not have any additional comments or advice. GlobalMeet has been wonderful and a great tool for my company to use. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that is in need.
The most beneficial for me is the conference calling, video and screen sharing features. This gives us the feel that we are in the same room as the people we are communicating with.
This is the future of modern business and networking. Our company uses this constantly for efficient communication. This is the best way for all of us to collaborate. We are located all over the United Stated. Without resources like GlobalMeet, we would not be able to collaborate as affectively.
For the video and screen sharing, I would like to see more of a notification that you are sharing. I am usually aware when I am presenting but I could see how some people would not be aware. I feel like I have also easily clicked screen share when I did not intend to. This has been improved from previous versions I have seen in the past.
I think solutions could be that the screen would change colors when you are presenting.
When multiple people are using the video sharing there can be lags. I think this is something to be expected when using technology such as GlobalMeet. In my experience there has been a noticeable difference in calling and video conferencing when there are 30+ people connected.
I have noticed it crashing during some events. Most of the meetings it has crashed in has been during large groups. I can see how that can easily happen. The problem with these crashes is that usually when an error occurs in larger meetings, the meetings are more high priority. High priority meetings are the worst time to have stability issues.
I kind of touched on this in the previous questions. Scalability would be the main issue with GlobalMeet. This is an issue that is expected. I'm not sure of the best way to fix this because it is not in my area of expertise. I'm sure this has to be an area of concert with GlobalMeet as it is a growing service that will continue to grow if the needs are met.
I personally have not dealt with any customer service issues, problems or have dealt with them at all really. I would suppose this would be a good thing for GlobalMeet. I would assume that the customer service is excellent though. Hopefully I will not have to deal with them in the future and everything will keep working lovely.
Technical Support:I personally have not had many issues, nor have I had to communicate with technical support. This is something other people would do that are conducting the meetings. Maybe one day I will work my way to where I am the one in charge of the meetings and therefore having to communicate with technical support. When that day comes I'm sure it will be a positive experience.
When having issues I usually do basic troubleshooting techniques. As I am writing this, I am realizing I'm not exactly sure what the question is asking. Because of this I cannot accurately answer the question. I have not had to deal with customer service or technical support, so I'm not sure if I have came up with a solution to problems as of yet.
For me, the initial setup was straightforward and not complex. I could see where if you were not a very technically savvy person, then some issues could arise. The user interface is pretty friendly and adaptable. It is fairly simple to learn. Basic tutorials help with the learning curve.
I'm not really sure exactly. My company walked me through what to do and I do it. They tell me when to jump on a video chat or conference call and I can easily access the meeting and agendas. It is very beneficial to have. I'm not really sure who started this with our company but I am greatful.
I'm assuming this is referring to "Return of Investment"? I have no idea really. I'm sure GlobalMeet has saved us money in just time alone. We use GlobalMeet a good amount just in my field and I'm sure it is used more in other areas of the company. I would say it has to be a good "bang for your buck".
Again I have no clue about the pricing and licensing of the product. I would say it is most likely fairly priced because so many companies use it as a vital resource. With that being said, there are always other companies competing on the market.
My last statement leads into a good segue for this question. I would hope my company evaluated all of the competitors. For one reason or the other they chose GlobalMeet to go with. GlobalMeet has been a great resource so far and I have not heard of any complaints from other employees.
This is a pretty tough survey I have to say. I'm not sure if I am really qualified to discuss cost evaluations in this survey. I tried any ways and hope it can be helpful to someone. I've also realized I didn't have a good estimate of what 120 characters look like. Now I do, and that's something I have learned today.
Global Meet allows us to conduct planning meetings, share screens, record recording issues with recordings not recording or being saved for 30 days.
Valuable Features:
It allows us to meet with key leaders across the nation and gather their input on important decisions. It allows us to plan and for all to be heard and contribute.
Recordings-the recording features malfunctions and it only allows you to store recordings for 30 days without an extra fee.

Nope. We did not fully know what we were buying re: the recording limitations--didn't ask the right questions, I guess.
No, we did not encounter any issues with stability.
No, we did not encounter any issues with scalability.
Excellent. PGI is always improving and responsive to their customer's needs! On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 10.

Yes, Adobe Connect. We switched from it because PGI's Global Meet was less expensive.
Yes, the initial setup was straightforward. I don't think that we had a single issue. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 10.
We implemented through an in-house team of likely users of the product. We did not use a vendor so I cannot rate their expertise.
That is very hard to quantify. I am sorry, but I don't know how to accurately address this. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 10.
The pricing and licensing are fair and simple to process. I highly recommend. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 10.
No. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 10.
Nope. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give them a 10.
The features I've found most valuable are:
We are a remote organization mostly, so all of our team meetings use this platform. It allows us to share screens, record meetings and include everyone on the call.
We have had some connectivity issues if some of our folks are not working via Wi-Fi connections. We had a large training with our event managers, who are located around the country, at the end of November. We used GlobalMeet in order to conduct this meeting. We had issues of multiple people getting kicked off the call and/or the online meeting by the afternoon. In the morning, things seemed to go well, but by the afternoon we had to move to the Microsoft Live Meeting platform because so many people kept getting kicked off. I am not sure if it was because the meeting had been open for so long or what might have occurred. Thanks!
I love the Outlook toolbar that GlobalMeet has incorporated. I use it to create announcements for web meetings, and to start my audio and/or web meetings. With just a few clicks, you can get your meeting underway... have the program call you (no need to remember phone numbers and passcodes)... and can see those attending your call. You can also control noise by muting callers, and even record the call for later usage.
I also download the reports after my calls so that I can track who has attended the calls. The reports allow me to access when someone called in and how long they stayed on the call. This way I also know if someone logged on, provided their name, then hung up. So to sum it up, I'd say it's given us beneficial information regarding who's on the call and for how long.
I would like to see the reports available right after my call, instead of 24 hours later. There is the ability to download the recordings real quick, but not the attendance reports.
Since 2013.
