The usual use cases for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud that I work with include many tools. At the time of the integration, SAP made it very easy for the integration. The key point is that now we have an on-premises server, but we don't need to think about any server anymore. SAP is managing all our cloud and all the infrastructure. This is a major key point, and that's why we moved to the cloud.

I primarily use SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for our sales department, sales and finance.

The purpose of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for me is for sales. Our company is selling the product to customers, B2B and C2B. Before we moved to the cloud, we had too many problems creating sales orders or purchase orders for ordering. Now, with the cloud, we can move anywhere in the world and we can easily access it from SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. We can easily find our sales orders according to the client. Even the client can also see the stock availability which they need to order. This is a very key point for us for managing this, for both sales and purchase.

The most valuable features of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud I've found so far are the reports. For a customer, supplier, or vendor, they can easily get the report from our database, whatever they want, such as top-selling plant or top-selling customer. If I am a customer of my company, I want to see my last year's data and trending. If I'm purchasing something from a company, I need to know which product it is and whether the price has increased or not. This is a very key point, not only for us, but also for the customer and for the vendors.

The positive impact and benefits I have seen from SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud so far include that a user can access it from everywhere in the world. It is fast, and there is no need to wait for too many things or reports. The difference is major in these three areas: accessibility, speed, and time management. The most important thing is the reports. If I am in Germany or London, I need to access my database here. I can easily access it, and I can easily fetch the report or easily access anything from my company.

I cannot say anything about what areas of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud could be improved or enhanced because so far, we are happy with this implementation. We are not facing any problem, or I cannot say that this can be improved. Although SAP keeps improving themselves day by day, we cannot say that SAP needs to improve anything. One thing which we face, not as a problem, is the pricing. SAP pricing is a bit higher day by day. Before, it was not too much higher, but I don't know why they are increasing their price. They should see this thing, so other customers, such as SMBs customers or small and mid-sized customers, can also avail this thing. Otherwise, we don't have any problem.

First, there is the limitation. If you are a SAP user, you don't feel any problem with the limitation because if you know how to use the product, you can easily implement this thing. Otherwise, if you don't know the business process or how to integrate and implement, it could be a problem. We have a limitation, but we developed some add-ons for this. So we fulfilled these requirements.

I have been working with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for one year.

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud has stability and reliability. SAP product has stability. Obviously, there are many ERPs in the market, such as Oracle and Dynamics, but SAP has the tag that if you are using SAP, it's already reliable. You can trust SAP. If you are doing day-to-day transactions in the system, and you totally rely on SAP, it should be reliable. The data should be authentic, the data should be accurate, and the output should be accurate. If something is lagging, if something has a bug, or if something is an error, we cannot rely on it. Obviously, if you rely on SAP, you are investing too much. That's why we rely on SAP. If you are not relying on it, obviously, we will not spend too much money on this.

I evaluate how scalable SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is as 9.5 out of 10. Before we had a pain with lagging and management. Once we moved to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, we were very happy, and we didn't face any problem, any lagging, or any maintenance issues. We are happy with this. Because we recently implemented it, so until now, we are happy with this.

I have never communicated with the technical support of SAP because we don't complain.

Before SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, I used a different solution for these use cases, which was SAP in-premises.

My experience with the initial setup and deployment of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is very good. Nowadays, SAP created very good manuals and tutorials for this. We didn't face any problem with how to configure and all these things. It's already streamlined. During the migration process, we didn't feel any problem or any issues.

Until now, we have seen some return on investment with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. We have initiated a three-year plan of the investment. After three years, we will see what achievement we will have. Before, when we were in-premises, we invested too much on the servers. Now, we are investing the same in the cloud. We want to see in three years what will be the output.

I did not consider other options or other vendors before choosing SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.

I do not currently use the real-time data processing feature of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. Because we recently implemented this, now we are seeing what more we can implement, because I know this is a very big thing. We just implemented this. Now, gradually, we are implementing other things. So hopefully, maybe in one or two years, we will have more new features.

I assess the platform's integration capabilities with other cloud products as much easier than other options because we are already using SAP. Before we were going to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, we were taking different custom platforms. We did not face any big problem to migrate from SAP in-premises to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. Although, there were some integrating problems from our side, not from SAP, but now it is solved, and now we are happy with this.

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud has facilitated my compliance with regulations. Before we implemented this cloud, we needed to manage the time, because sometimes in the process of implementation, it takes too much time. But because we already implemented SAP HANA before, not SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, now we know how to migrate from this to this. We need to manage this time management for this compliance to assure we meet the requirement because we have a limited timeline to migrate.

I decided to switch to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud because we had a limitation on the accessibility. First of all, we needed to manage the server in-premises. If we were in another country, we had a problem accessing this. That's why we were thinking we needed to move to the cloud. First of all, we don't need to manage any server. Another thing is, it's a light application, lightweight, and anyone from anywhere can access this.

My overall rating for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is 9 out of 10.

I was part of a migration project from ECC to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for a logistics company in Brazil. This was my main project.

For this specific logistics customer with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, they created different dashboards for different types of users. The logistics director and his team have a full dashboard with all processes, and each area has their own dashboard. Now that all the data is available in real-time, they can easily see and check if any change or process is not going well.

One significant change with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud that greatly improved from the ECC version to S/4 is that all modules are now truly integrated. In past versions of SAP, when performing actions in FI, the data was not always available in real-time in other modules, so this is the most important improvement customers tell us about.

I utilize the personalized services feature of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud because in the past, to personalize anything, customization was required, creating a Z program, or using SAP Fiori for a more user-friendly access. Currently, it is much better.

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud helps users find information quickly without having to change modules. This saves significant time and effort.

Regarding usability, the final user experience has improved substantially. Companies have gained more productivity because users take less time to finalize tasks as the data is correct, eliminating the need to double-check information constantly.

They effectively leverage the real-time analytics with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.

When discussing migration projects with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, one issue they face concerns the satellite systems - systems that have connections with their SAP. However, this has improved as SAP now has numerous APIs that can easily connect with different systems.

The licensing model for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud has changed, and it is not entirely clear for final customers. Instead of named users, they now have to calculate FUEs. This change in the billing model is somewhat confusing to explain to customers.

The pricing of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud has not changed significantly, as SAP customers are accustomed to their pricing levels. However, the billing model related to FUEs could be clearer. SAP could improve their communications with customers, as partners currently have to communicate everything to the final customer without having access to easy SAP documentation to explain these changes.

I have worked with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for approximately three to four years.

The connection experienced some issues during the discussion about measuring the impact of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud's in-memory capabilities on data processing and business intelligence efforts.

Their support services for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud are excellent in quality, particularly when customers need SAP consulting services. However, these services come at a very high cost.

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is technically excellent but very expensive, particularly for Brazil. Technically, it deserves a rating between nine and ten.

Comparing with SAP ECC, SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is a completely different and much improved product. From a user perspective, it is much easier to be an SAP user with S/4 than it was with ECC. In ECC, due to cultural factors, there were many Z programs and customer customizations. Sometimes attempts to improve functionality would make things worse. In S/4, things are much clearer for users, and they don't need to customize or personalize as much.

The overall rating for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is 9 out of 10.

In SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, HANA has the best performance for hosting the data warehouse and analytics solution mainly, and this is the good feature in it. Plus, there are some add-ons such as the smart data integrator and smart data quality which also helps with data cleansing. That is one of the most important steps for data accuracy for analysis and dashboard reporting for C-level.

The in-memory capabilities of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud on data processing and business intelligence efforts are fine, but the concentration and even the direction from SAP depends on Data Sphere mainly. The HANA Enterprise Cloud is used as an extension for the list data on it.

The service rates a seven out of 10 because there are times we didn't find a good response or the ticket took a long time for response to issues with customers and with us as well.

The price of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is quite expensive compared to solutions such as Data Fabric in Azure and Redshift on Amazon, which are quite cheap in comparison. SAP has to consider the cost for both license as well as for the service if we need some service from SAP.

We are a gold partner for SAP, reseller, and service, as a partner, reseller, implementer, or integrator of SAP.

SAP has done good investment in SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, but now they are already using it mainly for developing the application to host the application. If we need to develop an application based on it or something similar, it is hosted in HANA Cloud. It also serves as an extension for Data Sphere, but the main concentration now is on Data Sphere and Databricks as data warehouse solutions.

As our main focus is on SAP solutions, I consider SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud excellent. I rate this solution 10 out of 10.

I have worked with SAP HANA. Within that, REFSET is one of the modules I am reading. Additionally, I work overall with SAP from Circulator.

SAP HANA improves real-time data processing and integration of various systems, enhancing our customer's decision-making processes by ensuring immediate data updates in the database, offering real-time analytics, and allowing seamless integration with both SAP and non-SAP systems.

SAP RFX and overall SAP solutions provide a very intuitive and integrated solution within finance, leading procurement, and other business scenarios. 

The real-time data processing and the ability to track all leasing processes and contracts are particularly valuable. 

SAP's capability to integrate with other systems like GIS and non-SAP applications also stands out.

SAP should adopt more rapid changes in market processes and customer needs to deliver solutions that meet new industry requirements swiftly. 

SAP finance needs to be more advanced to keep up with current market trends, and overall data management aspects need continuous improvement to handle evolving data scenarios effectively.

I have worked on Cloud around the CSC development for the past three years.

SAP S4HANA Cloud is stable, though it could be improved. I would rate it between six and seven due to its robustness and reliability in the ERP system market.

SAP is highly scalable and recognized as the number one ERP in the world. I would rate its scalability between seven and eight since it's already well-proven in various industries.

SAP now comes with BTP (Business Technology Platform) to provide technical support and development services, which is very good. I would rate their support between seven and eight out of ten.

SAP's initial setup experience has improved significantly. With ready-made packs and solution configurations available, it simplifies the process greatly. It usually requires some minimal configurations based on business needs.

SAP HANA Cloud can be quite costly compared to other solutions. The high licensing costs make it an expensive option, particularly for smaller customers. However, they offer solutions for mid-sized industries and subscription-based licenses to manage costs better.

SAP is a strong solution, especially by the finance and procurement sectors. Their solutions are unique and comprehensive, suitable for various industries and business lines. SAP continues to improve user experience and remains in demand. Obtaining experience with SAP processes is highly valuable and can lead to better career opportunities.

I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.

We use it primarily in the coal industry for tournament auctions, implementing six modules. Previously, we were on Oracle DB, and five years ago, we migrated to SAP HANA DB through the cloud. We are now planning to migrate to SAP S/4HANA.

It has significantly streamlined our operations. 

Previously, our PDC (Primary Data Center) was on-premise. After migrating to HANA Enterprise Cloud, we were able to maintain higher performance with just 50% of the resources we used to have with the controller.

Nowadays, we're making proper decisions in time only by management. Because earlier, we were on Oracle DB. Now, with HANA, the process speed has also increased, and the management is getting the details within a short time.

We also use SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for real-time analytics in your organization.

The fact that SAP manages everything for us - the infrastructure, everything. We don't need a lot of manpower to maintain it ourselves. This has reduced our service costs and everything is handled by the cloud for procurement processes.

The main thing is that SAP needs to give better response times for support tickets.

As a development organization, we expect a faster response whenever we raise a ticket. Ideally, it should be as early as possible with SAP.

Previously, when our servers were on-premise in the primary data center, our basis team could look up everything themselves. Now, it takes longer because after raising a ticket, they have to verify if it's an SAP application problem, a network problem, or something else. This verification process takes extra time that could be reduced.

First of all, we want proper support in time for the organization. And secondly, proper training is also required from SAP side.

I have been using this solution for the last five years. We are on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, but I'm unsure if it's version 6.2.0, 6.0, or EHP 8.

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. It is a stable product. 

I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten. It is a scalable solution. 

Normally, the support is there, but the response time could be faster.

Service support is required because whenever we create tickets, we get late responses. Sometimes, it's scheduled to be delayed, but we want it as early as possible, within a short time.

I would rate my experience with the initial setup an eight out of ten, with one being difficult and ten being easy. 

The entire deployment process took a maximum of six months, from planning to the final deployment.

The price is on little bit higher. For SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, we see roughly five crores per annum.

I definitely recommend it. As far as its roadmap and how it's running, it's about the SAP HANA DB. By 2027, every customer must migrate to SAP S/4HANA. There is no proper service support after 2027.

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

We have a wide range of use cases for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. These include production planning, materials management, sales management, treasury, finance, appliance maintenance, real estate, and warehouse management. Additionally, we also implement safety management.

The most valuable features depend on the nature of the business and its management requirements. 60% of our transactions involve materials monitoring, sales, and distribution. These functionalities are supported by SIP (Service Integration Platform), which plays a key role in our operations.

There are areas of improvement because managing the environment is quite complex. There have been issues with operational monitoring, infrastructure management, and overall holistic control of operations. 

Additionally, the change request process is time-consuming, which is a significant disadvantage in an environment with numerous business processes, extensive landscape projects, and multiple enterprise operations. Lengthy change requests hinder business agility. 

Furthermore, scalability is a concern since it operates on Amodo, which is not designed for micro-scale operations. This makes scaling the environment challenging and sometimes leads to difficulties in managing rollouts and system server resource usage. Another drawback is the availability of the right resources for the job. 

Sometimes, when an issue arises, the necessary expertise and resources are not immediately accessible, resulting in prolonged resolution times. In some instances, inexperienced individuals are assigned tasks, which can be problematic as they may not fully comprehend the requirements. It is crucial to have experienced professionals who understand the intricacies and complexities of the system. They need to align themselves with the business goals because downtime can be categorized into technical downtime and system functionality downtime. Functionality downtime refers to instances where the system's performance is insufficient to meet the business's expectations, resulting in reduced efficiency in business transactions.

I have been using SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for five years. 

When it comes to stability, it's another problem where we are the ones informing that the system is up. This lack of visibility into the environment is detrimental to the business model. 

I would rate the stability a four out of ten. It's an area that could use improvement

I would rate the scalability a three out of ten. It is not very scalable. 

Moreover, it took a considerable amount of time to scale the environment, more than a month in some cases. When it comes to scaling, one challenge is avoiding bottlenecks and efficiently migrating servers to accommodate customer requests without causing disruptions. In terms of users, we have over 9,000 users for HANA Enterprise.

The initial setup is okay. Because the platform is always evolving. So, there are significant delays in the process. Transitioning from the initial setup to regular support and environment management takes considerable time. We manage multiple systems, ranging from 26 to 40 landscapes simultaneously. 

While certain tasks are completed quickly, overall, there are delays in achieving desired results and maintaining flexibility throughout the environment's lifecycle. 

In fact, it sometimes feels like the setup process is never-ending, and despite the delays, it can be challenging to identify the cause of any issues. In such cases, we often find ourselves on support calls, going through routine procedures to troubleshoot, and involving the support team in testing and other related tasks.

It's very, very expensive. When comparing it to other hyperscalers, the pricing for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is significantly higher. It's not cost-effective.

My advice for others considering HANA Enterprise Cloud is to thoroughly assess the pricing and understand their business model. It's important to trust but also verify as much as possible to avoid a fully managed service that leaves you unaware of what is happening. Better collaboration and providing standby resources would be beneficial to improve cooperation. 

Additionally, it's advisable to have a fast-track resolution plan in place with SAP support to avoid delays caused by ticketing processes for issue resolution.

Overall, I would rate the solution a five out of ten. 

Our company is a service, build, and innovation partner for SAP in India. We built one of the SAP modules in India. We have a big presence in Singapore and are looking toward clients in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. 

We use the solution for business verticals like dairy where we focus on logistics, arrays, and modules for manufacturing. We do a lot of automations so we focus on the IT infrastructure itself. 

We have moved our focus from the traditional SAP modules to SAP BTP because we are helping customers to do digital transformations. It is the happening module at this point in time. 

A majority of our use cases are enterprise customers. Mid-sized businesses are about 20% to 30% of our customer base. We have started working with small or regional companies in India, Singapore, and Malaysia that are specifically in the dairy sector. 

Internally, we use the solution's sandbox to build POCs. Junior developers can play around with the solution's tools in our in-house creator. 

We have a hybrid environment where the training module and POCs are on a physical infrastructure within our office and a few modules like MMSD are on the cloud. 

The BTP module is important for digital transformations. 

Customers need to be better educated about using the solution's cloud for digital transformation. SAP as a legacy system is missing that flavor. The solution is not a traditional ERP software so should be used as a digital transformation tool. That is the story to project to customers, partners, and sales teams. This will help the solution grow faster than GCP, AWS, or Azure. In fact, Google Cloud Platform is now collaborating with SAP for digital transformation. 

The solution should offer affordable modules that are customized to startups with 50 to 500 employees. Most people think of SAP as being only for big enterprises but it could be very useful for smaller companies. There are 40,000 to 50,000 startups in APAC each year and that is a large volume. Many of the solution's modules could be used by those startups. Google is targeting this market with chat boards and automation tools at a reasonable price or with six months of free usage. SAP should come up with this kind of module and include sandbox so providers can play with a few of the POCs. 

I have been using the solution for nine years. As an organization, my company has been using the solution for five years. 

The stability depends on the process, people, and approach. If you have these three components, then stability is achieved and rated a nine out of ten. 

The solution is scalable. You can get to the highest level if you combine the solution with other products. 

On its own, the solution is rated an eight out of ten for scalability. 

We do not use technical support.

We are moving toward being a PCOE certified organization within two to three months in India, Singapore, and Malaysia. PCOE is the key to success for any customer. 

The setup is easy with the right talent and the right competencies built. 

We are building competency across certifications, resources, hands-on experience, building POCs, and taking POCs to customers. 

We implement the solution for customers as a hybrid model in most instances.

We have a unique lifecycle approach in four stacks. First, we do an infrastructure stack. Then, we do the application stack followed by the data stack. Finally, we build the enhancements such as analytics, AI, or automations. 

The staff required depends on the case. Normally, we deploy one executive, two technicians, two functional resources onsite with the customer, and another 15 to 20 senior, mid, and junior resources offshore. On average, we have 14 to 15 resources per each stack. 

On average, the entire journey for complex organizations and multiple geographies takes between eight months and one year. It requires organizational change and building the mindset of management, technical teams, and business users. It is indeed a journey. 

The pricing is reasonable when compared to other vendors like Oracle who offer technology enterprise resource software. 

Our sales team knows the rates, how to apply discounts, and how to onboard customers. 

Most SAP providers operate very traditionally for developmental, service, and support activities. Slowly, providers are transitioning toward helping customers with a small pool of stacks, building POCs, and implementing in a bigger way to scale up a level. All of this gains confidence with the customer and is the kind of approach providers should follow. 

At the same time, SAP should insist that partners or providers follow certain standards when dealing with customers. 

I rate the solution a nine out of ten. 

Our company uses the solution's PDPO manufacturing function for controlling and monitoring the ECMs master material data for MRT planning and exclusions. 

We currently have more than 300 users across IT, development, software purchasing, research and development, the warehouse, and sales. 

I am impressed with how the solution integrates with the ME system and ALE IDocs to combine several good features for any situation. 

The solution needs to embed or integrate with IBP to fully activate the PPT module with efficiency. Currently, customers need an additional license to activate and that is troublesome. 

More automation is needed to provide better function. For example, a shipment should trigger an automatic confirmation. 

I have been using the solution for seven months. 

The stability is very good. 

The scalability is very good. 

We receive technical support from a third party. Their service is rated a ten out of ten.

We previously used SAP BASIS-1. 

We switched to the solution because it removes all expenses related to hardware, licenses for Windows, and database upgrades. If you move to the cloud, you do not need to give time or resources to hardware and software. 

The setup and full integration takes about five days. 

A third party assisted us with implementation. 

Thirty administrators handle ongoing maintenance which includes IT, development, and quality control. 

Our pricing is based on a yearly contract. 

We belong to the electronic consumer industry. The solution is almost the same as the ECC 6.0 version. We want the cloud version to have more automation and a bit of a revamp for better functionality. 

I recommend the solution because it is definitely the future. I rate it a six out of ten. 

I use the solution to extract data and analyze what the users are doing.

I use the interface to build queries. The interface is easy to manage. It is easy to manage the queries.

The product must provide more details of the errors. Sometimes, we cannot understand the error when we run the query.

I have been using the solution since July 2023.

The tool’s stability is okay. The tool runs fast.

Cloud solutions are more scalable than on-premise solutions. In the past, we had some problems because of the memory. Scaling is difficult for on-premise systems.

I have used GCP. GCP’s scalability is better because it is a cloud solution. SAP HANA, on the other hand, is an on-premise solution.

The initial setup was easy for me.

I did the installation myself by reading a manual.

People must use SAP HANA only if they use other SAP solutions. Overall, I rate the tool a ten out of ten.

I used SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for my studies and in my internship.

To be honest, I prefer working with the cloud. I hardly find anything wrong with the tools deployed on the cloud. Maybe SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is faster, but I find normal cloud services easier to work with as it is much clearer. I prefer to use normal cloud services.

Customization is an area of concern in SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, where improvements are required. SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud needs to be made a little bit more user-friendly.

Maybe integrations with some AI tools should be made possible in the future. It would be great if users could use some AI tools in SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.

From an improvement perspective, the product's prices can be improved.

With the tool, you see that it has some compatibility problems, which I experienced when trying to use it with a database on a Linux OS. The aforementioned area can be considered for improvement.

It is a scalable solution if you have a good cloud infrastructure. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Thousands of people use SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud in the company where I work presently.

I never tried to contact SAP's technical team directly because we haven't had the chance to do it in my company. In my company, we face simple problems, which I can easily navigate through SAP's online portal, which has notes about everything, and everything is pretty clear. My organization has another company that seeks help from SAP's technical team.

I rate SAP's technical team an eight out of ten.

The solution is deployed on the private cloud services offered by Microsoft Azure.

Considering my company's environment, we have opted for a subscription-based licensing model, making monthly payments for our virtual machine and yearly payments towards the product's licensing costs.

The product is a little bit on the expensive side.

I rate the product's price a five out of ten.

I use FinOps from Microsoft Azure for some financial analysis in my company.

A technical team consisting of eight members is required to take care of the maintenance part of the solution.

I know and have a test certificate in SAP Integrated Business Planning Software for Supply Chain.

I recommend the solution to other users since I believe that not only me but also many other companies will soon begin to see a future for the products offered by SAP.
