Easy to learn because it has quite a lot of documentation
Depending on your business scenarios, you can use it, but the initial knowledge of Java scripts, API integrations, and data management. The tool is not a complex platform if you know about the aforementioned areas. Adobe Campaign has features for creating templates, importing templates, and creating various workflows. We used these features to launch the emails, and everything else features. In our company, we integrated Adobe Campaign with Tealium Customer Data Hub. Tealium Customer Data Hub was useful for sending some information to Adobe Campaign for various email campaigns. Whatever data we received in Adobe Campaign was sent back to the Tealium Customer Data Hub for further segmentation. Adobe Campaign can be integrated with other various platforms as well. I think the tool is easy to learn because Adobe has quite a lot of documentation, which includes a broad range of documentation along with various training portals and training materials. The tool is not that complex. From the functionality perspective, it is a very good tool. The tool's UI seems a bit slow, and since it needs enhancement, I rate it a nine out of ten.

Targeted email journeys have boosted campaign insight and now need better data access and support
I feel that Salesforce Marketing Cloud can be improved in how the data views are accessed; it would be better to have something more physical. With data extensions, you can view them directly, but for data views, it is very difficult as you can only send it out or load it into data extensions. Improvements can also be made in the connections to different external tools such as Azure or AWS. Customer support can be improved in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as sometimes it is not clear what the issue is or how to approach solving it, and it also takes time to resolve issues.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a stable solution."
"Analytics was a good part of Adobe Campaign."
"The tool helps store and manage our data. I don't need to be a pro in SQL, but I can still run queries and get the exact data I want. Some workflows help me get data from any table and send it to any platform without expert SQL knowledge. I can still export complicated data anywhere."
"The solution is completely scalable, the sky really is the limit, and if a company needs to expand it, it can do so as much as it wants."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a stable solution."
"It's a software-as-a-service solution. Everything is managed centrally from the cloud. As far as I can tell, installation is relatively simple."
"The notification system for customer alerts, including the integration of various communication channels such as email, SMS, and mobile push, is excellent."
"The most valuable features of Salesforce are the automation and the ability to create dashboards which provide a wider picture of what is going on."
"Salesforce is user-friendly and the sales rep can easily handle data."
"Email Studio is one of the core parts of Salesforce Marketing Cloud."
"It makes it easy for a business to use any module based on their preference."

Cons

"The dashboard is perfect. The UI could be more user-friendly because the buttons are pretty small. Only someone who knows where to find them will easily locate them. New users might have difficulty finding options. Since I've been working with it for a while, I don't have that problem."
"The problems we faced with Adobe Campaigns in my company stemmed from the fact that it was very complex software."
"Adobe Campaign needs to improve the UI because it is a bit old. Sometimes, the platform is a bit slow."
"Technical Support: That's where it gets bad, in my opinion. I have had to deal with the support several times."
"I would like to see more ways to accomplish specific tasks."
"There could be easier tools to configure the product and to create landing pages to better handle large data sets."
"They could improve the product's data integration functionality for larger companies."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is expensive; it can be more affordable, but it doesn't matter where we implement or use it for our organization since we are able to manage well so far."
"The analytics feature needs some improvement."
"The general setup and understanding of how to use it can be improved. There should be easier self-service for setting up dashboards. Currently, we have someone setting them up for us. I wish it was easier."
"Clarity around new features could be improved when they are released."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is cheaper than Salesforce. It is useful for small banks that want to trigger emails."
"It will be a bit expensive because it is an Adobe product."
"We did a yearly license. We negotiated and got a great deal. I don't think we would have gotten far with the regular price, but they negotiated, so it was worth that."
"On a scale where one is the lowest and ten is the most expensive, I rate the solution an eight out of ten."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a highly expensive solution, it needs to be less expensive. We are on an annual license to use the solution."
"Salesforce has different versions of the solution and some are more suitable for smaller clients. However, Salesforce is expensive."
"We have two types of licensing. We have a yearly license for end users and we have a concurrent login for selling."
"I don't know if my company pays for Salesforce Marketing Cloud monthly or yearly. It's a SaaS, so it's a recurring cost, but I have no information on its price."
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is affordable, considering the significant improvements it brings to our campaign results."
"It's not cheap, which is why I recommend that you use Marketing Cloud to create automated journeys. If you plan to use Marketing Cloud just to send emails, use another tool."
