Enhanced project management and automation simplify reporting and approval processes
I think that Adobe Workfront could be improved in several areas, including reporting, which I've already mentioned. There are very specific things within the custom forms that I think could be improved, such as having different labels within forms instead of system-wide. The ability to hide options in a drop-down at the custom form level instead of system-wide would be another improvement. There are times we have to create brand new fields because we need slightly different wording within the label. If we had the capability, we could easily trim down from over 1,000 custom fields to about 400 custom fields if we had the ability to have individual labels by form. So reporting is a big one, and I think there are some not huge changes needed, but improvements to custom forms and custom fields would be beneficial. My experience with reporting in Adobe Workfront so far is that the reporting could be better. The ability to report is great, but I think it is too difficult. Regarding dashboards, they are crucial to be able to pull information from different levels, but that's also a negative because it is very difficult to do that on a report. If I have issue-level data and project-level data that I need to see, with some custom coding, you can do some of it in a report, but in general, if you have a lot of that blended data between levels, you need to use a dashboard, which requires two different reports due to the difficulty in pulling data at the different levels into one thing.

Saves time and resources and has a clear dashboard
I like the tool best because it's straightforward and doesn't have too many complicated options like AWS. The dashboard is clear - you create a directory, get credentials, and then use those in your Node.js or Java application to access resources. With AWS, you have to consider many things, like bucket policies and user permissions. It doesn't have these complications. Everything on Cloudinary is clearer than other platforms I've seen. It is very easy to use. It's easier than the AWS platforms I've seen. Even general developers can use it, while AWS needs more experience. The solution saves time and resources in several ways. It's easy to get started with, saving time from the beginning. You can implement file uploads in about thirty minutes without complications. The SDK and APIs provided to access their resources are simple and not complicated. Cloudinary is also a popular platform with good documentation and community support, making it easy to find solutions to problems.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The features of Adobe Workfront that I have found the most valuable so far are the data gathering capabilities through the custom forms, especially when you're in an industry where everything is so tightly monitored and audited."
"Mostly, it has to do with reporting project status updates to the management team."
"Easy sharing within our organization of data and information about running projects."
"AtTask's ability to quickly apply project templates to any given request (e.g. tasks with owners, dependencies, and timing) gives order to a busy workload and clarity to business owners seeking to get work out the door."
"The most valuable feature of Adobe Workfront that I have found is the external lookup, which helps users to get the outputs based on the API and enables users to get region information if it was in the country based on the logic-driven key and value pair."
"The best part of Workfront is that it is a good system for large jobs as well as smaller scale projects."
"Adobe Workfront offers a low barrier to entry, which makes it user-friendly and requires minimal training."
"When compared with other project management tools or workflow tools, Adobe Workfront is far better than other tools in the market now."
"The product's most valuable feature is the ability to upload images quickly and retrieve URLs. It integrates well with code, providing a seamless experience."
"Cloudinary is valuable for storing and hosting images, especially because it allows for easy storage and organization of media files."
"The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that I like that the tool takes care of transforming the images."
"I have not seen any bugs or breakdowns. The tool's performance when the site loads up is good."
"The platform has improved my projects by providing a fast and efficient way to manage images."
"Unlike Firebase Storage, Cloudinary handles media-specific tasks like re-encoding uploads. For example, when users upload a video from an Apple device, it's often encoded in a proprietary Apple codec."
"The tool's documentation is great, and everything is seamless."
"It actually supports the growth of the business because it gives us a lot of out of the box things."

Cons

"Yes, we experienced brief downtime on a few occasions but it became a rarity."
"My experience with reporting in Adobe Workfront so far is that the reporting could be better."
"Workfront's reporting capabilities must be improved."
"The solution's visualization feature could be user-friendly."
"The biggest room for improvement comes from faster iteration times."
"Customer Service: 5/10 - it is sometimes tough to get an advanced technician to review tickets."
"Adobe Workfront could improve its interface, which may benefit from an overhaul for better consistency between the web interface and the API."
"The downtime, while not too long or frequent, is an area for improvement."
"The platform's API features need enhancement."
"The user interface of Cloudinary needs improvement."
"For non-technical users, the initial setup could be made easier."
"One thing that comes to mind is the capability for hosting very large video files, similar to platforms like YouTube."
"The UI needs improvement because it has become quite messy recently, making it difficult to locate the media library and images."
"There are some things the product can improve in its UI."
"Looking at its credits, I think Cloudinary can be scalable. However, when you compare it to the AWS S3 bucket, you have more options for scalability with AWS."
"The main issue with the package is how it handles errors. It swallows errors and throws its own, but without preserving the stack trace, making debugging nearly impossible."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Speaking about pricing, I wouldn't recommend it to a smaller company because I do think the price point is higher than other solutions that can work."
"The pricing is a barrier to implementation. It is expensive compared to other competitors. Speaking about licensing, they have a private manager license for $1000, which you can use for administration as well. Then they offer a worker license for $500, and then a reviewer or contributor license which is free."
"We are partners with Adobe, so we get the licensing at a cheaper rate."
"Adobe Workfront is an expensive solution."
"Adobe purchased Workfront in the past year, and they're putting work into developing the platform, so I expect the price to rise. It isn't cheap, but it's reasonable for the value it provides. It isn't Monday.com where you pick a license with a set price, and you've got a project manager."
"The pricing of Workfront is completely license based."
"From what I've used, it's actually cheap compared to other options like AWS."
"We decided to quit using Cloudinary after two years because we were getting a lot of users, and it was becoming expensive. Cloudinary had fixed charges, so if we agreed to pay 500 USD per month, it would be the same whether we used high or low resources. They would notify us if we exceeded our limit, but not if we used less—however, AWS charges according to usage, which became more cost-effective for us as we grew. With AWS, you might pay 100 one month and 200 the next, depending on your usage."
"I use the free plan, and that is enough for one or two websites. Though I felt that the product price is reasonable, I don't have any price details of any tools to help me make comparisons."
"It is a free tool."
"For us, the price is okay."
"The product's free tier licensing plan is beneficial for individual developers to learn about its functionality."
"I am using the free version."
"I have not used the product's paid subscription, as the free tier is sufficient for most users."
