A reasonably-priced service to help build a culture of security with a good technical support team
In our company, we tailor the service to meet the needs of our customers. If one of our company's customers struggles with a certain aspect, we help tailor the service and fix or switch it for them. I can't really think of an area that could be improved in the service. In a company, the service is more for training your team and the other extended teams. Arctic Wolf Managed Security Awareness should have increased flexibility for creating any training. Assuming that this week, you decide that you want the company to hold a training on a certain aspect, but I see that the training is made quite a bit in advance so that training materials are always available for the customers. Some flexibility to add very specific types of training upon request from a customer would make for a great improvement in Arctic Wolf Managed Security.

Email defenses have reduced phishing incidents and protect sensitive data across our enterprise
As things are evolving and threats develop in unpredictable ways, Proofpoint must adopt AI solutions and agentic solutions more aggressively and provide them to customers as part of service offerings. Inbuilt AI solutions would add more value and make Proofpoint a more premium choice for customers. With the help of AI solutions, agentic AI, and generative AI capabilities, the product would be more efficient than it currently is. Filtering false positives is highly challenging because it is impossible for humans to identify which emails are genuine and which are spam. Proofpoint should focus more on this area with back-end agents or other tools. Proofpoint should decide which emails are genuine and which are spam so it is not a challenge for end users. When receiving an email, end users should not have to determine whether to respond or not. Proofpoint should not release such spam emails and should strictly block such spam and spoof emails based on connection IPs. Currently, false positives occur in the product, and while this occurs in every product, it is an area where Proofpoint can focus on improving and reducing false positives. One email is enough for an end user to be deceived and lose money, so addressing this area is critical.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The service's customers get some form of training every two weeks to help fight against common attacks."
"At this point in time, there's nothing that needs to be changed or improved in the tool."
"The most valuable features are the business email compromise protection and targeted attack prevention."
"Proofpoint Email Protection has positively impacted my organization by ensuring we are not at risk of a breach through email."
"A lot of automation is present, and the quarantining of malicious emails and these processes are good and really help us in the investigation as well as the remediation part."
"The solution has very strong detection for most of the phishing and malicious emails received from the outside."
"The power, flexibility, configurability, and Proofpoint Email Protection's professional services were some of the biggest selling points for me at the time and the things that I benefited from the most."
"Proofpoint Email Protection positively impacts my organization because it is a simpler solution in terms of user interaction compared to my previous email gateway, and its detection capabilities are considerably more advanced."
"We've observed that we have almost 99.9% control over our emails now in an easy to configure and easy to implement solution."

Cons

"Arctic Wolf Managed Security Awareness should have increased flexibility for creating any training."
"Unfortunately, the whole product is going downhill right now, ever since they were sold to Thoma Bravo. We're constantly having problems with stability and the product in general."
"I rate the technical support at a 3 out of 10, with 10 being the best."
"However, for the cons, it requires continuous policy tuning to manage false positives. A Proofpoint Email Protection engineer requires continuous policy tuning to manage false positives, which is a disadvantage."
"The solution could lower its price."
"You only receive one model in Proofpoint Email Protection and the other ones you have to purchase at a high price. There should be more available with the solution and additional models should be less expensive."
"There is room for improvement in detecting and preventing phishing attacks. While the solution performs well in some aspects, it struggles with phishing threats."
"Proofpoint Email Protection could improve on the training. Every organization is different and to fine-tune it to block everything properly there needs to be better training. Sometimes it can block some of the information it shouldn't."
"Regarding improvements, the search in Proofpoint Email Protection is a bit slow sometimes; if it was quicker, it could probably improve the search a little bit."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Arctic Wolf Managed Security Awareness is very cheap. I rate the service's price two or three on a scale of one to ten, where one is low and ten is high."
"The solution charges per user per month to use it. There are not any additional fees in addition to the standard living fees."
"We sell annual licenses for this solution."
"Proofpoint Email Protection has comparable pricing."
"Annually, it costs us about $92,000. This is pretty much what it costs us. There is no additional cost."
"The solution uses a licensing model that is reasonable compared to other products."
"Clients pay for an annual subscription of Proofpoint Email Protection. Every client always finds it expensive."
"It is multiple times more expensive, which made it very much less attractive."
"In general, the pricing is competitive."
