Long-term testing workflows have improved integration of test planning and defect tracking
The deployment depends on whether you are deploying it on your computer or across the program. Cloud-based system deployment takes some time, as it depends on your rights to your computer. I would rate the deployment as a seven on a scale of one to ten. It took a couple of hours to get it right. The IT department deploys it.

Agile workflows have streamlined sprint planning and tracking for faster feature delivery
Jira has a very good interface and it is very easy to manage sprints, tasks, and epics. The main feature is the hierarchy, as features can be converted into epics and topics, allowing bigger tasks to be partitioned into smaller ones. The hierarchy feature in Jira helps the team significantly compared to other tools that have been used, such as Trello, which is mainly useful only for a waterfall model. For modern Agile practices, Jira is the most adapted tool in the industry. Another valuable feature is that Jira APIs have been used for data science projects to analyze tasks and get insights. This has also been very helpful in the project.

Pros

"This solution fits very well into our agile product management environment."
"In Bitbucket, the reviews are pretty good."
"As a general purpose tool, JIRA and Confluence are still ahead of the competition."
"The most valuable feature is the Scrum board."
"The main power of this tool is the integration between the different products of the Atlassian suite. We have good integration with work management with Java. This is the major strength from this provider."
"This solution fits very well into our agile product management environment."
"The main power of this tool is the integration between the different products of the Atlassian suite, and we have good integration with work management and software build automation (Bamboo), which is the major strength from this provider."
"The Atlassian ALM suite consists at least of JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket and HipChat - just the tools you need for organizing your teams in a very efficient way."
"The features that we find most valuable are the Workflow, Scrum workflow, and Dashboards."
"Integrates with other components."
"With Jira, you get what you input, in terms of your data; for me, I get what I need out of it."
"The flexibility to create different flows is most valuable."
"Easy to configure, very fast to configure, extremely powerful workflows and schemes, integrates with other Atlassian tools as well as 3rd party tools."
"It is a good defect tracking tool. It has a lot of capabilities and functionalities. There are a lot of graphs and a lot of tracking. It can be sprint-driven if you want."
"I would recommend this solution to others, it is a good option."
"Issue linking has enabled teams to trace issues."

Cons

"Frankly it's a really daunting exercise - challenging, problematic and very flaky."
"Confluence is just a super-inadequate tool for editing documents."
"However, it is not really scalable, so if you want to use it for anything larger or plan to use it for product portfolios, then it starts to be problematic."
"Atlassian ALM is too expensive. The pricing is very expensive."
"The solution is stable but at times, the performance is poor. It takes time to load and the response time is not up to the mark."
"For project management, the scheduling of the project tasks should be simplified because it's complex and too rigid using the Atlassian Portfolio."
"There is room for improvement in the high-level project management."
"The automation for scheduling software and doing software tests should be simplified because it's complex and too rigid."
"I am not sure if Jira can be integrated with our ERP. It would be nice if we can check or view a plan with the real cost."
"If I'm comparing it to ALM Octane, the documentation is not as robust as ALM Octane's documentation."
"We would like to see the integration of a lite-version of Confluence, just to manage some of the templates and documents."
"The sprint-related graphics need to be improved."
"From an automation perspective, there are more aspects that could be needed, especially regarding natural language reporting in the generative AI context."
"Workflows can be improved. Its interface could be more intuitive for workflows."
"Jira can improve by making user management better. It is not easy to have visibility of who has the right to do what."
"Once a story is closed, all the records, versions, and documentation associated with it are gone. We lose the traceability of what was done."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a community edition available, but if the price were lower for the addons then more people would use the full version."
"The basic price of Jira is reasonable, but for each plugin, we have to keep paying more. When you add it all up, it can be expensive. The main problem we face is we are forced to purchases plugin licenses for users who are not going to use them. For example, we have Jira licenses for approximately 450 people but if we only want a purchase a plugin for few people it is mandatory to buy the license for the 450 people who have Jira licensees. This is a problem because sometimes we need plugins for the product manager or for people in charge of the report, not everyone. For us, it can be very expensive in the end, they should alter this policy to allow plugins for only a set number of licenses."
"We have an enterprise license that includes cloud service and support."
"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten. It's paid yearly."
"It depends on the type of license. In terms of subscription, it is cheap, and it works pretty well."
"We have a corporate license, and it is probably based on the number of people."
"There is a monthly license required for this solution and it is expensive."
"If I compare Jira's licensing model with that of other products, I think that the other products have a much better licensing model."
"The ballpark figure is about $100 a month."
