Experienced easy deployment and stable performance but user support needs improvement
The most valuable features are that BetterCloud had a much more sophisticated workflow management toolset than Google itself. It was easy to build onboarding and offboarding workflows, which could handle the desired complexity versus out-of-the-box Google. BetterCloud allowed us to reallocate storage so all files created by a departing member would get reallocated to the manager, thus retaining access. BetterCloud saved help desk time by automating processes, providing a reasonable return on investment. BetterCloud now offers SaaS platform tracking capabilities, a key, previously missing feature.

Identity governance has automated lifecycle workflows and strengthens access risk control
Omada Identity has a very good and easy automated onboarding and offboarding process which provisions correct system access from day one when employees or contractors join, and it automatically revokes their access and prevents orphan accounts when they leave. It provides role-based transfers which seamlessly upgrade user permissions when individuals change departments or roles, ensuring they only have the privileges necessary for their new positions. For risk mitigation and intelligent analytics, it leverages machine learning to uncover vulnerabilities, recommends appropriate access roles, and flags anomalous user behavior before it becomes a security threat. Omada Identity also extends strict governance controls and life cycle tracking to AI agents, service accounts, and API keys, securing the expanding IT infrastructure. It allows businesses to map their paper-based approval process into automated drag-and-drop digital workflows without relying on complex custom coding and provides a centralized self-service portal for employees to request temporary or permanent access to specific applications with proper approval from one or two level approvers, which includes built-in routing to the correct approvers. The value received from Omada Identity at the start was significant, particularly due to its codeless configuration, allowing us to map our approval process into automated drag-and-drop digital workflows without excessive complexity. For access requests, we established a centralized self-service portal to manage temporary or permanent access requests with appropriate approvals. Omada Identity uses machine learning to uncover vulnerabilities, recommending access roles and flagging anomalous behavior before it becomes a threat, providing confidence through initial POCs leading to a complete deployment.

"The most appealing aspect of Omada Identity is its self-service upgrade system."
"Omada Identity has positively impacted my organization as we have quite a lot of customers being satisfied and remaining connected to us for very long periods because of how satisfied they are with the product."
"We are able to onboard new user accounts much faster by automating the process and standardizing our operations globally. Previously, there were many individual processes and manual admin interactions. We also see a lot of cost savings and benefits because through automation and standardization."
"I appreciate all the support we receive from Omada."
"Omada Identity saves time in provisioning access for identities as it is linked to the HR system, allowing onboarding and offboarding to be done automatically; this includes the automatic creation of access roles."
"For me, the best feature of Omada Identity is its web interface because it's really easy for users to understand."
"Omada Identity has really impacted our organization positively because it has improved our access management by automating routine tasks, reducing manual efforts and errors."
"Omada Identity has given us much better control over who has what access than we had before, even though we had solid controls previously."

Cons

"Would love for it to be able to replace our SSO as well as provide connectivity and the same level of automation to our other SaaS products."
"The account support team was weak in engagement and communication, contributing to the decision to move to more comprehensive solutions."
"The suite’s flexibility within the area of continuous violation detection and handling could be improved."
"Omada has reports, but I wouldn't dare to show them to the business because they look like they're from 1995."
"I chose a rating of eight out of ten for Omada Identity mainly due to the single sign-on functionality being the only aspect I feel could be better."
"I would like to search on date fields, which is not possible now."
"Omada Identity has two main issues that need to be solved or improved the most. One is its setup or installation process because it's complex and cumbersome."
"We haven't seen much cost savings yet, so the return on investment could be better."
"Omada Identity is a strong product, but it also has shortcomings."
"We are still on Omada on-prem, but I understand that when Omada is in the cloud, you cannot send an attachment via email. We have some emails with attachments for new employees because we have to explain to them how to register and do their multi-factor authentication. All that information is in the attachment. People have to do that before they are in our system. We cannot give them a link to our Intranet and SharePoint because they do not yet have access. They have to register before that, so I need to send the attachments, but this functionality is not there in the cloud."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Omada Identity offers a reasonable price point, but it will increase as we transition to the cloud."
"It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
"The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
"Being Dutch, I can only say that it is extremely expensive, but all software products are expensive. If you have 38,000 users, then even one dollar or one euro per person would amount to a significant amount of money. Because of the high number of users, anything gets expensive very fast here."
"The pricing is okay."
"There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
"Omada isn't cheap or expensive. The licensing model is flexible. I've only had limited interactions with the Omada sales team, but they were positive. They don't sell the customers more licenses than they need. It's important to accurately forecast future usage. For example, we have many licenses that we don't use because we don't have the identities yet. We pay extra, which isn't good."
"My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
