Efficient email security and link scanning streamline network protection
One area for improvement is the user-friendliness of the UI. It is not intuitive to manage policies as I have to go through several pages to find necessary information. Additionally, the profile management for scanning and protection profiles is clumsy and could be more straightforward. There should be some simplification in changing profiles due to performance issues.

Helps users keep track of everything from one place
The most valuable features of the solution stem from the fact that we can track all of it in one place across all those different locations. Because it's cloud-based and reports up to the cloud, we also have access to the back end, and an incident response team monitors all incidents. We also have an escalation process in place. From my perspective, there are other pieces of CrowdStrike that the security architect team uses as well, but I don't get involved with those as much. I usually just wait for the end results or the notification if I need to get involved if there is an incident.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like the EDR feature."
"A lot of the AI that is running in the background that deals with the response on different detections is important, and the learning from the labs themselves is also very important. That's where they set themselves apart from others. A lot of the other products that are out there on the market probably have a lot more bells and whistles, but they are not necessarily directed at the heart of what MDR should do, at least in my opinion. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and in my opinion, if you're getting back to the basics and doing what its true intention is, they've done a very good job in comparison to others."
"It's easy to use."
"The most valuable features include email security and web URL scanning, particularly the link scanning aspect."
"It has a very good cloud console that's easy to use and install."
"Bitdefender MDR's integration capabilities have been smooth, leveraging cloud-based and various threat intelligence feeds. Bitdefender's array of technologies, including remote mapping and machine learning, with numerous patents, ensures effective threat management."
"I would rate the stability a nine out of ten."
"If you're looking at an enterprise with centralized control, you can actually push the policies to all your clients' endpoints easily across VPNs."
"What I found most valuable in CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is that it has a lot of monitoring dashboards and use cases, and I saw that it's a very good product, but my company has only tested it, so it's not been used for real use cases. My company hasn't tested the complete license for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete, so the team hasn't checked the open fiber rooms for zero-day attacks, IOAs and IOCs, or any indicators of fraudulent activities. I was also amazed at the solution and its licensing. My company did a competitive analysis of many EDR solutions, but it went with CrowdStrike Falcon Complete. It's one of the top-rated solutions on CyberRatings as well."
"Falcon Complete's best features are its detailed reporting and user-friendliness."
"As an end-point solution, nothing beats it, to be honest."
"It is an endpoint protection product. It has a very good reporting engine and dashboard. It has a good set of endpoint controls. It provides an effective set of protections. When we throw malware and stuff like that at it, it is able to stop them."
"The prevention capabilities hold the utmost value."
"Overwatch is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon Complete."
"It's not a signature-based solution, which is ideal for us."
"The exposure management covers vulnerability management in discovery."

Cons

"The automatic backup isn't very big."
"Bitdefender needs to probably position this product and create more awareness among people because a lot of companies use products like CrowdStrike, which is doing pretty well."
"The lack of integration with Microsoft Outlook is a significant drawback."
"For improvements, focusing on the commercial viability of markets like India could make it more accessible. The pricing structure, especially for price-sensitive markets like those in Asian countries."
"They're doing a really good job. The throughput and the response time can always be better, but there's already a solution out there. It depends on how much and what tier you want to be a part of. The way they're designed is that if you pay for it, you can have a turnaround time in a very short amount of time. If you don't pay for it, your response time is going to be a little bit less. That can always be improved, no matter what tier you're on. It could be in terms of tech support, or it could also be things like getting the reports and getting the summary back from the labs. When something is detected, what did it all entail? There are a lot of those things. It's not all in one, but all of those are different branches."
"Integration capabilities are not as rich as other tools like CrowdStrike's. Bitdefender wasn't as feature-rich in that aspect."
"They can improve their support a little bit. We've had some issues with some of the installations in terms of getting the installation, configuration, and flows correct, and sometimes, their support is not as simple and easy to deal with as we'd like."
"We need more updates as there are always more threats coming."
"The training provided could be better. There is a need to have more training to allow us to fine-tune our settings. Not that training is not comprehensive; they do provide training in hotels where we can go and see videos and other helpful information. However, they should be providing hands-on experience to the system administrators because this would be more useful. The training is normally for corporations and should be available for personal users as well."
"Falcon could use more SIEM capabilities, like a central place to monitor all our clients."
"As of recent, their MITRE scores were not as good as in years past."
"I would love for the threat intelligence part to be more globalized to provide a tailored response to types of malware and ransomware that are trending in other regions. For example, they can add a feature to tell us that there are separate attacks in South Asia or East Asia occurring at these times, so we can supply those things to our environment and protect ourselves."
"We have a problem with the CrowdStrike Falcon Complete agent. It was closing the communication with the network or other computers."
"An MDM, Mobile Device Manager, should be added in the next release."
"It really is an expensive product in the South African market. And they need people in our country. Their partner program isn't yet where it should be. They need a lot of work and there's a lot of improvement needed."
"The logging features aren't robust and the information isn't kept long enough."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As far as pricing is concerned, I would rate them not expensive, not cheap."
"It varies based on the number of licenses."
"I know it is based on the volume and size and also on different multi-year agreements. There are different discounts applied, but I can't really speak about the specifics."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
"Bitdefender fit well for customers with about 50 to 200 users. The price point is great, and you get a lot of bang for your buck."
"The pricing is a little bit expensive for our region."
"This product is one of the more expensive ones on the market."
"The average price is approximately $500 per customer."
"Falcon Complete isn't too pricy."
"The licensing cost for CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is fair, and I would give it a five out of five. You have to pay per device/user."
"It is not cheap, and it is not overpriced. It positions itself in the upper half of pricing in the market. You can find a product that claims to do the same and is super cheap, but it'll be not at all good. You can find something that says it does everything in the world, and it is the best thing since sliced bread, but it would be incredibly expensive. Falcon Complete is neither of those. It is always best to go somewhere in the middle, but it is not in the middle. It is in the upper half. So, it is by no means cheap, but it is worth it. Its pricing is well fixed. Given what you get in return, you wouldn't feel bad paying for it. They have a great licensing model. You can add extra bells and whistles if you want. There is that ability to reduce the price by turning off certain features if you wish."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is very expensive in comparison to Bitdefender."
"Falcon Complete could be a bit cheaper."
