Intuitive toolset engages users effectively in agile projects
I would recommend Bizagi depending on the maturity of the organization. For those just starting, it's a good tool to get into business modeling. In more mature environments, I might not pick this toolset because it doesn't integrate with live systems well. Overall, I would rate Bizagi between eight to nine.

Enterprise Architect at a comms service provider with 5,001-10,000 employees
Works as a reference for architecture but not very intuitive
We use the solution as a reference for architecture so that we can connect business data applications. The tool helps us to know how these applications should be built. We use it mainly as reference material.  I like the solution's traceability.  The solution is not easy and intuitive to use. I…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like the ease of use and the fact that you can download and use their free version, which is unlimited. However, while it's unlimited use, some features aren't available."
"Great software for managing my business. I think this is the best business process management software."
"Bizagi is really great for beginners because it's user-friendly and you can learn in it quickly, whereas other similar software are harder."
"Very, very stable."
"Bizagi is very simple and easy to use, which I find most valuable, as it allows users to create clean and neat process maps."
"Bizagi is a very useful tool because it does not require you to program, and the user logic is very easy to understand, even for people who are not engineers nor developers."
"The ability to document the entire process within the same diagram and then generate documents in Word, publish on the web for transparency, and perform model simulations has become extremely useful for developing system processes and activity diagrams for technology developers in any area."
"Bizagi is a great tool for creating, testing, and documenting process diagrams."
"Enterprise architecture and a positive sense of understanding soon reached everyone."
"It is stable and easy to use."
"I like the solution's traceability."

Cons

"Bizagi has been aggressively adding features to maintain its market-leading position, however, in some cases, this has impacted the stability of certain product builds."
"Sometimes, when your process is big with multiple lanes, the product will freeze the issue noticed on multiple laptops, not a single PC."
"I would appreciate additional features for the free version. Currently, the elements in a process map are limited to activities, decisions, flows, and start/end points."
"Sending emails for a role, import from AD and the creation of areas per profiles are features that need improvement."
"For the small business, this is very bad because it is still fragmented. The licensing policy should be more flexible and small company oriented. In micro-small companies, there should only be one or two. That's not the problem. Maybe it is too flexible, there are so many pieces that you need to put together. When you have a small business, it can be a little complicated, not so easy."
"Also, the tool sometimes feels not so mature when we find random deploy errors from testing to production environment."
"Its price can be improved. The price is high for the application as well as for maintaining and developing applications. When you develop, for example, a BPM, you need to pay a lot for Bizagi."
"I don't know if it's a problem with my operating system or a Bizagi problem, but many times I see that when I try to connect different activities, they show up as not connected."
"The solution is not easy and intuitive to use. I would also like the software to have a reference metamodel that can guide the modeling."
"I was not so satisfied with arrows in this program."
"In the previous version, the web interface was unstable."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I was using the free version."
"It has a very high price. Many clients complain about the price for maintaining the application on Bizagi."
"Bizagi is totally free for modeling."
"The modeler itself is free. For the whole BPM suite, there are other options that may be better."
"If they can freeze the pricing in a contract, I advise them to do so."
"The modeling part of the software is free. Most of the time, it is used for this purpose."
"The Bizagi modeler can be downloaded free of charge."
"It is on par with other BPM tools, but not as expensive as Pega nor Appian."
"I would rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten since it's pretty expensive."
