Optimize talent management with modular features but needs better reporting
There are difficulties regarding the reporting part. While we have some reporting functionalities, they are not powerful or deep. For instance, the coverage report on a specific effective date provides data effective on the day of the report, which is a significant limitation. Additionally, the available APIs, both inbound and outbound, are not well-developed, preventing the creation of accurate interfaces with other systems. There is also a need to review the reporting infrastructure to build a data lake that would allow customers to access data regardless of the effective date of the information. Moreover, the silos between the different modules need to be removed. Ideally, one would want a report that provides information at the same time from performance and compensation.

I am generally satisfied with the talent management capabilities in Oracle HCM Cloud, but as I mentioned, there are certain pages that really lag sometimes and there are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate. It takes some time to get that feature, and we need to raise product SR or ask in the community how it works. It's not easily understandable, especially in the talent management area. One potential area of improvement for Oracle HCM Cloud is that it lags. It takes time to reflect the pages, and the loading time now requires us to wait for the page to load. Earlier, we used to click and see the page immediately. However, now we need to wait for it to get loaded, which can be frustrating when working in a fast mode.

"Performance appraisal might be the most valuable feature for us."
"Meta4 HCM helps us consolidate HR data across various regions."
"It allowed us to fully automate payroll/salary processing for 6000 employees, and this is now operated by only three people."
"Recently, support has been excellent."
"From the HR side, the most valuable features are the Learning Management Systems (LMS) that allow providing a personalized service in terms of development, where each employee can choose and architect their development plans."
"It is simple to use and can streamline processes because it does not require further development."
"Pricing is competitive."
"The feature I find most valuable in Oracle HCM Cloud is 'Journeys'. This feature is widely used across clients for onboarding, offboarding, and other automated tasks without manual intervention."
"The solution is very good at building out a roadmap based on client needs and feedback."
"This solution is very stable."
"The most valuable feature is the support for mobile devices."
"HCM solution that's easy to set up and scale, with good data integration and technical support."
"This solution has localized the payroll which is a good thing."

Cons

"The user interface could be improved and the maintenance is complex when it comes to upgrades."
"I think the areas of training and performance could be improved in the solution."
"There is room for improvements, such as including AI solutions for people management to improve job descriptions, recruitment reels, skills mapping, etc."
"To put it bluntly, the e-Mind product is obsolete older technology, and has no upgrade path for the new PeopleNet product."
"Their technical support isn't so good."
"The HR portal, training model, and the development career model all need improvement."
"There are difficulties regarding the reporting part."
"The Solution is stable, yet when the data became huge, the Payroll Users are facing slow execution of the Payroll."
"One of the challenges that we've discovered is that for some things like report modifications, whenever Oracle provides a new release, they will overlay certain customizations that you have, and then it becomes a real hassle to re-customize for our needs."
"In regards to the technical support team, sometimes they are busy and sometimes from the company point of view, you need to track someone specific instead of direct support."
"In some geographies, you might not find specific localizations. For example, here in Turkey, we can use all Oracle Cloud modules except for payroll. The Oracle payroll module isn't localized for the Turkish system. So, we need to integrate a separate, localized payroll solution with Oracle HCM."
"Cloud learning can be improved."
"The interfaces could be improved because when you're going into the landing page, the interfaces look a bit blunt when they could be more user-friendly."
"Legal local legislation integration could improve."
"With HCM Cloud, I have only created two or three SRs, and so far, not bad, but I wouldn't go to phenomenal yet."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"From a cost perspective, I think this is a well-balanced option."
"The price for Oracle HCM Cloud is expensive in Iran, but in other countries, such as Turkey, it can be reasonably priced."
"It is definitely super expensive. Oracle is very, very expensive for what they offer."
"The price of Oracle HCM Cloud could improve. However, everyone would like the price of a solution they are using to be less expensive."
"I am not normally involved in the product's pricing since it normally involves the packages that a user chooses. Pricing differs based on a case-to-case scenario and client-to-client basis."
"It has a licensing cost. It has a cloud-based subscription, which is quite cheap."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"I rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten."
"The cost of Oracle HCM Cloud is high, it could be reduced. There is an annual subscription and it is user-based."
