Everything has worked better since we started using it
Sometimes the syncing is inconsistent. I'm confident that the devices are checking in every eight hours, but sometimes the devices aren't picking up the settings as quickly as I would expect. Some features haven't been updated in a while, and Microsoft doesn't seem interested in developing them. Unless you talk to an engineer, you don't know whether there will be an update. There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now. Some reporting areas still need development. For example, I noticed that the reporting for driver updates is still confusing.

Simple to set up, reasonable pricing, and useful remote control capabilities
I'm on the latest version of the solution. I just updated it yesterday. While we have the solution on-premises at this time, we'll likely move to the cloud later this year. They have a trial version that you can try. They have a free version that you can try as well. I use it myself to support my family. I would try the free version or the trial version depending on your business. They can set you up and you can get to see all the features. I would also advocate going to the cloud version. Don't bother with the on-prem. It's just easier to jump to the cloud. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

Allows an ease of access to various systems and has a straightforward setup process
The product allows easy access to any system in case of any issues We cannot see the number of monitors working on the system simultaneously. It becomes complicated to switch from one monitor to another for different windows. The product's stability depends on the network's stability in our…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best part of Intune is device control. If we need to block a user from opening something in their organization's system, we can do it from Intune. If we want to restrict the movement of an organization's data to prevent users from copying the data into Outlook, WhatsApp, or their personal Gmail, we can limit that via Intune. It secures all corporate data."
"I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune."
"The most valuable feature of Intune is the user-friendly portal for end users."
"The most valuable feature is the UEM capabilities."
"Previously, SCCM was used as an on-premise solution for clients, but now they are moving to Microsoft Intune as a cloud solution with better security and functions."
"Once it is well integrated with the rest of the environment, it makes everything easy."
"Overall, the stability is good."
"Intune has automated the deployment of patches and applications, which is more efficient and easier."
"it gives me the ability to remotely connect to machines that I manage without user intervention."
"I've noted an ROI while using the solution."
"The initial setup is fairly straightforward."
"It is super easy to use and relatively inexpensive."
"ConnectWise Connect is very convenient as we can remote to a PC even when it is not within our LAN."
"I do love the monitoring page. If you are using ConnectWise Control, which is the on-prem version, when you are logged into the admin panel, there is a status page that checks network connectivity, the status of the license, and so on."
"The unattended access functionality is a valuable feature, because I can go in at any time that I want, deploy fixes, or do maintenance."
"The product's two-factor authentication means we are not worried like before about the state of our security."
"TeamViewer has a lot of options for deploying the Hosts, where you can mass deploy them very easily, and you can pre-configure them."
"The most valuable features of I use TeamViewer are the ease of access and frequent updates."
"The solution is very stable. We've never had a problem with it."
"Ease of use was the number-one thing. It's an industry leader for ease of use, specifically on the client-side, which is the absolutely critical thing. If I want to connect to somebody, how easily can I — without seeing their computer — walk them through the steps to install it to a point where I can key in the code and help them resolve their situation?... TeamViewer is just a dead-solid, easy answer."
"The pilot feature is what stands out the most. I love the ability to use the pilot feature for remote inspections. The augmented portion of the software comes in handy when I have to assist my inspectors. They use the app in the field, and they show me what they're seeing through their phones."
"There have been a couple of times with the handy remote access feature, where I have been asked for something at eight o'clock on a Thursday evening and it is on my desk machine, but I am driving back to my office. With TeamViewer, I can just stay at my home machine, connect to my work machine, and get the data needed without having to drive back across town."
"The product is easy to install."
"The implementation is quite straightforward."

Cons

"The backend of Microsoft Intune needs to be improved. We have seen a little bit of delay as compared to other MDM solutions. That needs to be improved. A little bit more granularity should also be added"
"There are challenges with Intune, specifically in reporting. Many third-party companies offer single-pane-of-glass reporting that shows you what your update environment looks like, how your patch is doing, application status, etc., but Intune's reporting is not intuitive."
"Reporting and troubleshooting for the application deployment could be better. It's very difficult to understand."
"They should improve its compatibility with other operating systems such as iOS and Linux. It supports Linux but they still need to work on the iOS part."
"Reporting needs improvement."
"There is no catalog for mobile access management (MAM) security."
"What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade."
"I think there should be a better tracking of the cell phones used on the Intune."
"I would like to see more overlap, meaning, I would like to be able to see what processes are running on a computer, for example, or what services are running."
"For my company, just installing the software and using it is very easy. But if I need to give one of my customers access to their machines, the process that you have to go through is some 15 to 20 steps. You have to create a group, and then you have to assign a policy. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to set up someone for remote access to their own machine."
"The recent redesign has made it slower and basically worthless."
"There can be some complexities when running patches or when building up all the profiles, making them areas where improvements are required."
"On a Linux machine, there are different limitations that are not there on a Windows Server. Much more limitations exist on Linux deployments."
"I would like ConnectWise Control to be more transparent on the real costs to renew their license."
"There needs to be a way to run the agent without installing, like GoToAssist."
"What we need this product to do is to be able to control Windows Updates. LogMeIn Central allowed us remote access but also allowed to push and install Windows Updates, and third-party updates... When we made the switch to ConnectWise we lost the ability to do patching. That forced us, for our larger clients, to move to WSUS. We had to set up a VM on those larger clients to push Windows Updates and patches into the network."
"We access the solution through a VPN, which improves our security. However, earlier this year, around the beginning of March, a CVE in the TeamViewer client allowed remote connections to other network systems, which was concerning. You could have unintentionally gained admin rights if you didn't update TeamViewer promptly. It's crucial to always keep it updated to prevent such issues. The tool should consider implementing two-factor authentication to improve such security holes. It should also integrate good security updates, which should be implemented automatically."
"I would like to see something like a TeamViewer mobile application for iOS or possibly Android. I think this would be fantastic given how technology is evolving today. It would be beneficial to use it with your smartphone."
"The product's expensive nature is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"Voice communication and screen communication or face-to-face communication could be improved."
"It's not the program itself that's an issue, but there is a need for some better documentation on how to use the web portal Management Console. That seems to be a bit lacking in directions, if you aren't paying attention and you don't know what to do. Better documentation would make it a little bit easier to set things up in different groups and share groups between people."
"I would like to see TeamViewer support multiple platforms."
"TeamViewer can improve connectivity. I had some problems connecting to my clients and now I use AnyDesk."
"It should have ability to display notes in the computer list."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products."
"Existing E5 license holders for M365, Intune, and Azure, receive a free license."
"We don't pay for Intune because it is bundled with the premium subscription to Office 365. It includes Intune and Defender. I don't have to buy two extra products to manage my enterprise."
"With one user base license, we can use Intune for up to five devices. However, with Soti MobiControl, each license is tied to a single device, meaning one license is dedicated to one device only."
"While Microsoft charges for actual usage, it lacks discount options."
"It's affordable. It's cheaper if you have an Office 365, E5, or E3 subscription because everything is there."
"Microsoft Intune costs about $7 per user per month, which is somewhat on the pricier end. That said, it's a reliable product, so it's fair."
"Microsoft Intune's pricing is reasonable."
"Their licensing model is good, their pricing model is good, their service is good; bandwidth is excellent. They're consistent."
"We pay $3,000 USD for the service, yearly upfront."
"For the price we pay, we definitely feel it's worth it, but there are some contenders in the market that are coming out now, whose products are as good; they are offering more features and the price is actually less than ConnectWise. All things considered, the biggest thing is the lack of patching in ConnectWise. If they could integrate that into the product, that would be a game changer, if offered at the same price point."
"Pricing is fair for Control and the licensing is simple."
"ConnectWise Control is not an overly expensive tool. Its pricing is reasonable."
"We pay an annual licensing fee."
"Good price and works well."
"The cloud version is relatively inexpensive, but the on-premise version is expensive if you do not need three technicians, only one or two for concurrent sessions."
"It has probably saved us several thousands of dollars because we have quick access anywhere. We don't have to worry about finding people onsite or arranging conference calls. We also save time and money with it because we don't have to send somebody onsite to troubleshoot."
"I used the free version of TeamViewer."
"We're using the free version. We do not pay any licensing fees."
"It does what I need it to do but I think it's expensive. It wasn't easy for me to get approval from the company to get it... It's costing us about $700 a year, per license."
"The price was cheaper than what we were previously paying. At the time that we went with TeamViewer, we were using ShareConnect. The TeamViewer package was about half the cost and able to have a bigger number of users."
"We have a corporate license. The maximum amount number of users changes based on the amount you pay. E.g., with our license, there is a maximum amount of users who can use the solution at the same time (10 users)."
"We are using the free version of TeamViewer."
"We use the free version of TeamViewer."
