Centralized device management has transformed security and streamlined remote provisioning
One area where Microsoft Intune can improve is the user interface. Sometimes the portal feels a bit complex and not very intuitive, especially for new users, and it can take time to find specific settings. Another point is troubleshooting. While logs are available, the diagnostic policies and sync issues can still be time-consuming and not very straightforward. I also feel that reporting could be more detailed and customizable. The built-in reports are helpful, but for deeper insights, I often need to rely on additional tools. Overall, it is a strong solution, but improving usability and troubleshooting experience would make it even better. While Microsoft Intune works very well within the Microsoft ecosystem, the integration of some third-party tools could be smoother and require less customization. Support is another area that could improve, as sometimes response times can be slow, and resolving complex issues may take longer than expected. In terms of features, I think more advanced automation and built-in remediation options would be helpful since common issues can be fixed automatically without manual intervention.

Easy to deploy, stable, scalable and safe
I previously used TeamViewer. ISL Online is definitely the better choice compared to TeamViewer, as it offers a more secure connection that does not involve peer-to-peer transport, and all data is encrypted. A single license for ISL Online costs about the same as TeamViewer but with multiple licenses, ISL Online is cheaper.

Reliable remote access has improved secure collaboration and streamlined daily approvals
The best features TeamViewer Business offers in my opinion are collaboration, templates, a high level of security, and session recording. Collaboration allows me to collaborate remotely with my team members. Besides reconnecting automatically, it provides a high level of security, protecting from cyber attacks and aids in providing assurance in regulated environments through two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption features. It also allows recording live sessions, which can be replayed as needed for future reference. TeamViewer Business has positively impacted my organization as collaboration has enhanced, especially remote collaboration by 60 to 70 percent. I have been able to collaborate with clients and other team members seamlessly. Enhanced workflow efficiency includes faster approvals and a lowered risk of data loss, misuse, and leak through robust features like two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption. It also facilitates compliance using documentation and auditing through recordings and logs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has improved our organization through the remote management of non-domain joined devices."
"The automatic patching is the most valuable feature of Intune."
"The main benefit for us with Microsoft Intune is centralized management of all devices, allowing us to apply one policy across the company from one location."
"Intune's most valuable feature is its centralized management capability."
"It is absolutely a positive investment."
"The ability to switch between Affinity and non-Affinity enrollment is great."
"The most useful features in Microsoft Intune are the policy enforcement and conditional access."
"Autopilot is one of the best features because we can use it during remote migration and it especially helps in this pandemic situation where we don't need any end-user computing engineer support."
"The most valuable feature is safety."
"The stability is great; reliability is what's very important to me, as well as security, and this solution may have only had one instance of downtime in 14 years."
"ISL Online is easy to use and it provides a single platform for various challenges we face in IT."
"Without ISL Online, I would not be able to work from home."
"Overall, we are very pleased with this solution, for us, it simply works 99.9% of the time."
"We are just much more responsive, we can be faster, and we can support our customers in a better way because when they have a problem, we can be on their computer immediately."
"Good communication is a key to good business and ISL helps a lot."
"Setting up the solution is easy and there's no maintenance involved."
"The pilot feature is what stands out the most; I love the ability to use the pilot feature for remote inspections, and the augmented portion of the software comes in handy when I have to assist my inspectors as they use the app in the field and show me what they're seeing through their phones."
"The solution is a very good tool for monitoring and for remote access, and anyone is able to use it because it is simple to use."
"The product is quite stable. The performance is good."
"Before TeamViewer, our remote personnel had to rely on taped video training, but now they get one-on-one training as I walk them through things on their computers."
"Quicker and easier to connect to our customers’ PCs to resolve software issues."
"Working with TeamViewer has made customer support work more efficient."
"It was worth the investment. You can do file transfers and video calls with it. You can do a lot of copy paste stuff. E.g., if I have a file and want to place it on somebody's machine, I can just copy it off of mine and paste it right on their machine. I don't have to put it in a Dropbox account and have them log into it to pull it off. I can do all that right through TeamViewer. When you're looking at the TeamViewer screen, you think you are working on your own machine."
"Go ahead, it’s the best of all the remote access software products."

Cons

"The portal of Microsoft Intune is slow for me, but otherwise I think it is an acceptable product."
"The documentation about the custom image setup could be better."
"During the onboarding of Microsoft Intune, we faced the problem that the policies were not getting synced."
"I've dealt with Microsoft way too many times, and needless to say, I'm not too fond of Microsoft support most of the time."
"Its configuration is fairly complicated. You have to do quite a bit of discovery to be able to deploy it for a customer. You have to ask them a lot of questions. So, its initial deployment is the biggest challenge. They should make it easier to deploy with the use of Wizards or something else. During the deployment stage, there could be profiles for the customers who are particularly wanting to use certain feature sets of Intune."
"Since the devices are configured over the Internet, whatever policy we apply from the compliance portal does not reflect immediately on the endpoint."
"There are differences in protecting the data on a mobile device and on iOS. When you protect the data on iOS, you protect the entire device."
"Intune endpoint analytics can be challenging."
"Updating the program could be improved. When they're pushing updates, you don't really know that there's an update available."
"It would be helpful if they had iSupport for supporting Apple phones."
"If there is an update or new feature on ISL Online, I don't know about it. I would be happy to receive a newsletter or notification of new features or updates."
"I would like to be able to access and manage all brands of smartphones."
"It would be easier for me to implement them and consolidate ISL with other systems in our network if I knew beforehand."
"There could be a section in the menu describing the new features and changes."
"There could be a section in the menu describing the new features and changes."
"We miss the possibility to communicate via head-set in ISL. At the moment, we combine ISL for visual communication with Skype for verbal communication."
"The product could be less expensive."
"The solution could have better scalability."
"It's not the program itself that's an issue, but there is a need for some better documentation on how to use the web portal Management Console."
"There is a paid version of this solution with more features available. However, they should provide more free features to the user, such as factor authentication."
"Every now and then you'll get a silent crash and you relaunch the application."
"By comparison, TeamViewer is a complete mess; the way they do it is a total nightmare, and it does not work well."
"The connection and reconnection sometimes lag and can cause problems."
"Support for mobile devices from Linux has been missing since the Native client was rolled out."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our Office 365 Business Premium license, including Office 365 and Intune Management, offers excellent value."
"There is a license needed for this solution and it is either included in one of the enterprise license agreements. Microsoft licensing is a mathematical institute, it could be quite complex. We tend to ask specialized organizations to research what the most profitable way it would be for us to use licenses in the organizations."
"Intune's pricing is competitive. For example, the license of Blackberry's Enterprise Mobility Suite was costly, but Intune is affordable. It is included as an additional feature when you buy security enhancements for your organization. For example, let's say I have fifty users in my organization and all of them are using Microsoft cloud services, like Teams, Office 365, and OneDrive."
"Microsoft Intune costs about $7 per user per month, which is somewhat on the pricier end. That said, it's a reliable product, so it's fair."
"Based on the features that it gives, it is cost-efficient. It is not necessarily on the expensive side of the scale. It provides a hefty number of features that any organization would want. It is in a good price range."
"Intune is cost-effective as it is included in some of the Office 365 packages."
"If you're subscribing to Premium or E3, there are no additional costs for Intune, it's included."
"For Microsoft 365 E5 clients, cost is not an issue as this product is one of the benefits."
"We have a pay-per-use license available for 500 minutes within one year for 95 Euros. However, this option is not popular. Alternatively, we can purchase a one-year license for 339 Euros; if we need two licenses, the cost is double, and for three licenses, the cost is triple with a ten percent discount. For 99 Euros a year, we can open multiple sessions on the same computer with a multi-session subscription."
"TeamViewer is very pricey. You have to sign up for a yearly subscription."
"TeamViewer offers a free version to try. Download and give it a shot. See what it's like and if you like it, then buy the license for it."
"It does what I need it to do but I think it's expensive. It wasn't easy for me to get approval from the company to get it... It's costing us about $700 a year, per license."
"I rate pricing a ten on a scale from one to ten, where one is low and ten is high. There are no additional costs attached to the licensing of the solution."
"TeamViewer's price is cheaper than some other similar solutions. We have licenses for our users."
"We're using the free version. We do not pay any licensing fees."
"It has probably saved us several thousands of dollars because we have quick access anywhere. We don't have to worry about finding people onsite or arranging conference calls. We also save time and money with it because we don't have to send somebody onsite to troubleshoot."
"We use the free version of TeamViewer."
