Great document storing and easy to set up but needs to offer more collaboration capabilities
It should have collaboration features. For example, if I upload a document and I want the document which I upload to be discussed among my colleagues and peers, I should be able to share. I'd like for us to be collaborating, discussing the document, adding to the document, et cetera. I'd like it to be possible for teams to collaboratively create the document. Compliance or records management could be improved. For example, if I upload a document, a legal document such as a contract, when you onboard a new customer, you would like to have that contract document stored. At the same time, it should be logged. Once a document is approved and taken by printout and sent to the customer, it should be logged. It should not be allowed to be editable; you shouldn't be able to make changes to it. For records management, it should only be accessible to some people, not everyone. I would like to have records management features and compliance features where data could be hidden. Items such as personal data should be hidden or masked. I would like to have GDPR features added. We had some slight hiccups during the setup process.

Have faced some confusion with the interface but have managed collaboration and document sharing efficiently
We currently use Notion for project management and CRM, which includes document capabilities and task management features. We have a self-hosted solution and utilize Google Drive Enterprise for everyday tasks. We are customers of Google and integrate Google Drive Enterprise with third-party applications. The compliance requirements are met through the platform's features. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Google Drive Enterprise an 8.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"For the most part, the initial setup is easy. There's good documentation."
"DocuWare allows for easy document management and workflow automation, eliminating the need for physical paperwork and streamlining the approval process."
"One of the reasons that I use Google Drive is that I used Gmail for more than 10 years, so when I had to choose a cloud storage solution, I selected Google Drive as I had experience with it and it was really easy to use and it was accessible all the time."
"Provides a secure backup to my data."
"The solution secures the data well."
"The streamlining that an organization gets when using the solution is great."
"It is very convenient and easy to access."
"For me, the most important feature is the option to save the documents and then access it from anywhere from a mobile or a desktop, or any other device."
"The most valuable features of the solution are space and availability."
"I like that it's easy to use, and I'm satisfied with the speed, stability, and availability."

Cons

"Its graphical user interface could be more user-friendly."
"It should have collaboration features."
"A separate interface to give users a summary of how they've shared items on the drive would be useful. You can end up having a lot of stuff and the sheer amount can end up making users feel a little bit lost in terms of knowing who they've actually shared items with."
"It should have more features similar to Office 365. To improvise more, they should compare their features with Office 365."
"The product lacks customization."
"If you have different accounts, you have to log out and log in to access the accounts. This could be improved by removing this requirement. The storage limit could also be increased."
"I want better support, and I expect quicker support for any issues."
"When compared to Commvault or Veeam, I'm not sure what Google Drive has to offer in terms of backing up data on the cloud or in a data center for a large organization."
"If they would implement something for people who have been working on Google Drive for so many years, to have an upgraded version or to be upgraded to that capacity or storage, that would be fantastic."
"The price of additional storage could be reduced. I have an annual subscription and I'm only using 150GB because of the price."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"While the price may be considered slightly high, it is still reasonable within the context of other options available on the market."
"It has a yearly license."
"I am using the free version."
"That would be ideal if it were as cheap as possible."
"Google is much cheaper than Microsoft."
"The tool is a bit expensive."
"In the free subscription, Google Drive Enterprise provides limited integrations. You get basic integration features, but for more extensive API usage, a paid subscription is required. Even with the paid subscription, there are limits on free API usage, such as a certain number of calls per day or month."
"The solution has a subscription-based license."
"The price of Google Drive Enterprise is affordable and is one of its best features. I am on a monthly subscription."
