Work from anywhere and backup easily while being practical
I recommend Dropbox, yet not for all of the features it has. I am a basic user. In a personal mode, we have about 100 employees, and maybe 20 of them use Dropbox as a personal backup system. ShareFile is more secure than Dropbox. Five years ago, ShareFile was qualified as having better security control, access privilege management, and version control recovery, among many features that we were using for private documentation. Overall, I would rate Dropbox an eight out of ten.

I love the backup capabilities and the offline sync
We use OneDrive to share documents throughout the organization and collaborate. It is also used for backups.  The backup capability is one feature I love about OneDrive. I also like how it syncs when you're working offline. Everything is updated once you connect again. It takes too long for…

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The features that I find most valuable are the ability to sync across devices, easily access/share files and organize them among myself and my team."
"The setup was straightforward."
"I can use the cloud version for storage and easy retrieval."
"Dropbox is easy to use."
"The solution is very fast and simple. If I want to share a file I can put it on the cloud or on-premise. It's user-friendly."
"It offers security, accessibility, and user-friendly features."
"File syncing is the most valuable feature. I use it every day to sync files across to the cloud."
"Dropbox is reliable, and I've never reached the storage limits."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the amount of space allotted to each user that is issued a subscription."
"It is well integrated with other Microsoft products."
"The feature that I have found the most valuable is that Microsoft OneDrive works with any Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office app. You can edit a document on the cloud, share documents with your colleagues, and monitor changes. You can access your work almost anywhere. You can also sync Microsoft OneDrive with your workstation so that whatever you are working on gets automatically backed up to the cloud at regular intervals. So even if your system crashes, you still have a copy of your documents in the cloud, which I found very useful."
"It is good as a central hub for the storage of documents and sharing among team members."
"The stability of Microsoft OneDrive is very good, it is reliable. There were multiple instances where I had lost my valuable data on hard drives in several other places. However, with Microsoft OneDrive, I've never lost a single file."
"The backup capability is one feature I love about OneDrive. I also like how it syncs when you're working offline. Everything is updated once you connect again."
"It is simple to use and it allows me to give me the opportunity to access anything I want from any device."
"It was extremely easy to setup."

Cons

"The tool must be better protected."
"They can provide more storage. Data is something that everybody is after. Any organization that has the requirement of data for any type of analysis will definitely need increased storage."
"I would like to be able to unarchive my files online."
"It would be good if they could market themselves as a safe solution for corporates. Currently, most corporates don't see it as a safe area to share within."
"I would like to have a document flow. S"
"It could be more secure."
"The solution lacks sufficient storage capabilities."
"The mobile aspect of the solution needs improvement. For instance, if I want to use a file from Dropbox on my phone, I sometimes struggle to download images off of Dropbox. The solution lacks accessibility on different devices."
"It takes too long for OneDrive to synchronize various applications, especially when you are saving office data. It also requires too much bandwidth."
"The online application is quite limited, for this and other Office offerings."
"The initial setup is not easy."
"If I want to pick out certain criteria of pictures, Google enables me to do that whereas OneDrive is a bit sort of flaky."
"An online video player would be great, since sometimes you have to download the video to play it."
"Support has not been the same since the beginning of COVID lockdowns."
"The website could be improved. Sometimes I try to login and the website has issues, I can't retrieve my documents."
"The user interface sometimes fails and when it cannot connect, it does not give the reason why."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution does not come with a licensing cost."
"We are using the free version of Dropbox which has approximately two gigabytes of data capacity."
"Dropbox could be less expensive, and I pay monthly."
"We use a yearly license. The pricing is not a bad price. I'd rate it about a five out of ten, with ten being expensive and one being cheap."
"Users need to pay to increase the solution's capacity."
"While the pricing is comparable, especially for users of Microsoft Office 365, the value proposition might not be as competitive for those seeking primarily storage options."
"I am using the free solution, which provides me with 2GBs of storage, and for me, it's sufficient."
"There is a subscription-based pricing model and I pay monthly."
"Using this software, it has had an amazing impact moneywise on our business. It allows us to share documents without the need of extra hardware."
"The price of Microsoft OneDrive is reasonable and compatible with competitors."
"We pay a lot for the Enterprise version, but it is a premium service."
"OneDrive comes with Microsoft 365 so it is just an added part of that package."
"Costwise, it is a great option. In most cases, it is a free space, which will be more than enough for most customers."
"This is a pricy solution, given that we are only using it at 50% capacity."
"It is free if you are using Office 365, and you get a terabyte of storage with your account."
"The licensing is expensive and on a yearly basis."
