Collaborative tools have improved team communication and file organization across projects
Before I was in a Microsoft environment, which had its own software that was not website-based. When I moved to Google Workspace, it was not seamless because I have to access it through a web view in the browser. Most of it does not have stable connection because it is based on web view. It would be great if Google Workspace had its own application built into the PC or a desktop application. The operation is a bit different from Microsoft, which makes it difficult for me. For example, with Microsoft, we could easily access the shared mailbox with one URL and have access to it. With Google Workspace, we have to set it up by ourselves inside our own mailbox, which is a bit difficult because of how it operates differently. I think it can be improved more. Currently, guidelines are just in the form of a document that we can read by ourselves. It would be really helpful if the guidelines themselves were built into the environment itself. Since Google Workspace is in web view, maybe that would be possible. That would be more helpful than just reading a document.

Data restoration is the most valuable feature.
If I access my documents from the mobile app, I am also able to share these documents with accounts in other apps such as email, WhatsApp, Dropbox, google drive, etc. What I'd like is to be able to share a document or folder with other Mozy accounts (users), with limits of either under the same admin domains or even with other domains.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"G Suite Enterprise is user-friendly, and the technical toolkits and other information are on the website. Additionally, the technical documents are comprehensive."
"The enterprise edition is quite stable compared with simply using Google on the browser to read email."
"Google Chat is the most valuable feature of the solution."
"There are several areas where a G Suite implementation can reduce costs: lower license fees than some competing products, reduced hardware and IT support costs, and other benefits that can provide a competitive advantage such as improved productivity, increased collaboration, flexible working, easy scaling for new employees, and the ability to add and remove licenses as required."
"The user interface is fantastic. It's also available for the individual person, so that's also a great thing about it."
"G Suite Enterprise is scalable."
"I personally prefer to use G Suite applications, such as Gmail, Slides, and Sheets, because they give you the freedom to share the document you're editing and co-work with other colleagues simultaneously."
"Google seems to be a more stable environment than our current on-premise Microsoft solution that we're replacing."
"The ability to kick start the service live on the users machine; I also like the graphical representations of data space."
"The data restoration feature is the most valuable because the end user requires minimum support to recover lost data."
"I was using Symantec Backup Exec, and we switched because Mozy is easier to use, and the cost is less."
"I've had good experience with the Mac backup client running silently and keeping files backed up."

Cons

"Scalability could be improved, we sometimes have issues when there is a lot of data."
"The pricing is very high, although I cannot tell if this is the result of the Indian vendors artificially inflating it."
"I'm not sure if Google Drive has a customizing feature, however, if it did, then it would be better."
"What needs improvement in Google Workspace is the Google Drive app, in particular, making the process of finding the shared and most used files and folders easier. The first time you get an invite to view a file or folder in Google Drive and you view that folder or file, it's pretty easy, but the next time you try to access it again, sometimes, it's a bit difficult to find what was shared with you. An additional feature I'd like to see in Google Workspace is the option to un-send messages in Gmail. Microsoft has a message recall feature, and this isn't available in Gmail, so it's the feature I'd like to be added to Gmail."
"Google Workspace does a pretty good job, so it doesn't have that much room for improvement, but what would make it even better is if its apps, for example, Gmail, could integrate with more apps, such as Evernote and specific cloud-based platforms."
"Our users have faced an issue with increasing their email quotas over the last three months."
"The user interface, especially on Google Drive, could be better."
"The Outlook integration or plug-in for current Outlook clients is a huge area for improvement."
"Automated client deployment was not straightforward and never worked for me."
"The support staff were directed to give support on specifics and to stick to the support plan; anything out of the ordinary would be a challenge."
"The sales support is too poor and there is no point of contact, local representatives are not in positions to assist or even provide a proposal."
"The selection of directories and files to back up can't be managed centrally, it has to be set on each user's computer."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The main challenge regarding startups with identity services is you could be on a platform that works well but the services are expensive. For example, Microsoft Azure costs approximately $30 per user which is expensive. You end up choosing a different platform, such as G Suite Enterprise because it is priced reasonably and is less expensive than other solutions."
"We receive value for the price that we pay."
"You pay for Google Workspace based on your usage and the apps you use, but in my case, it's free, but if I used it a lot more, I'd probably need to pay. 15GB is enough for me, but I see myself upgrading and paying the additional charges for more storage regularly."
"We have purchased an annual subscription."
"There are different versions of the solution available, such as premium."
"It's low in cost as compared to Office 365. There is an annual licensing cost."
"The price of G Suite Enterprise is reasonable compared to HotSpot. I'm not going to say G Suite Enterprise is affordable. It's valuable, you find value in paying your gas bill or your electricity bill, because of what it allows you to do."
"The price of the solution can vary."
