Everything has worked better since we started using it
Sometimes the syncing is inconsistent. I'm confident that the devices are checking in every eight hours, but sometimes the devices aren't picking up the settings as quickly as I would expect. Some features haven't been updated in a while, and Microsoft doesn't seem interested in developing them. Unless you talk to an engineer, you don't know whether there will be an update. There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now. Some reporting areas still need development. For example, I noticed that the reporting for driver updates is still confusing.

Accessing multiple PCs from remote locations is easy and reliable with this solution
The solution works very well, I do not have any problem with it at all. The only problem is they have more than tripled their price in the last three years over what they used to charge. A price reduction would probably be warranted as I am not getting three times the service. My husband uses it too and he agrees that a price reduction would be the only thing he would be looking for. The vendor more than tripled the price in the last three years — so it has doubled and then doubled again. They have just kind of gone through the roof when it comes to pricing and I think that they are justifying that because of the demand.

Allows an ease of access to various systems and has a straightforward setup process
The product allows easy access to any system in case of any issues We cannot see the number of monitors working on the system simultaneously. It becomes complicated to switch from one monitor to another for different windows. The product's stability depends on the network's stability in our…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is the enrollment process, which is user-based, making it easier to manage compared to AirWatch."
"Fortunately, now everything is streamlined into a single, unified platform."
"When comparing Microsoft Intune to Jamf, Microsoft Intune is superior."
"For Windows services, there are multiple options within Intune to modernize it to be more internet-facing and dynamic."
"It is quite policy-enabled, so you can build pretty much any policy to manage remote endpoints."
"Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy."
"The cloud base is perfect for me."
"We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good."
"The installation is almost instant."
"This solution has allowed us to have a highly flexible remote access solution in DR/BC situations."
"The technical support is good."
"The solution is very quick to set up."
"I can do anything from a remote desktop as if I were sitting at my own PC."
"The most valuable features of TeamViewer are the ease of connecting to remote computers. I do not need a lot of information about their computers to connect, a nontechnical person can give me the information needed for me to connect. Additionally, the solution does not gather other system information about the host or client's systems as other solutions might, such as AnyDesk."
"I am satisfied with TeamViewer, and its performance."
"The pilot feature is what stands out the most. I love the ability to use the pilot feature for remote inspections. The augmented portion of the software comes in handy when I have to assist my inspectors. They use the app in the field, and they show me what they're seeing through their phones."
"The solution is scalable."
"This solution is straightforward to use."
"TeamViewer has a lot of options for deploying the Hosts, where you can mass deploy them very easily, and you can pre-configure them."
"The most valuable features of TeamViewer are the high performance and it is not complicated to use, neither for me nor for the one I'm helping."
"TeamViewer is fast and easy to manipulate."

Cons

"They can improve their MAM policies a little bit more and make them more granular. They should include more granular group policies. They are there, but they need to be more granular. Its stability should also be improved. It is not very stable. Sometimes, it shows some inconsistencies across tenants."
"I heard some pain points. The main thing is the learning curve. It took time to implement. It was not the best product starting out of the gate."
"The product needs to upgrade itself when the server is overloaded."
"There can be some added features, such as an improved dashboard. Any new feature that could be a benefit to our customers would be good."
"Lacking in features such as Wi-Fi and network security."
"I would like some integration with the Microsoft reporting platform Power BI."
"It would be interesting to integrate the server side of Intune. Some group policy updates we have on the Windows Server side and possibly some on the client side could also be included."
"It would be better if they can reduce the cost of the license."
"The pricing has tripled in a small amount of time and there is not three times better service."
"Integration could be improved. I'd prefer if the solution could integrate with our support and report tools as well as our timesheet reporting."
"If the PC is hung then it requires a reboot."
"It should have ability to display notes in the computer list."
"Sometimes we'll have a device in the field, and I'll click on remote control and it says "Can't authenticate." I'll double click in a different part of the TeamViewer interface and it'll say "Can't authenticate." Then I'll do it a third time and it connects. It's possible that it's just bad luck. It's also very possible that it's some bug within TeamViewer..."
"The solution could have better scalability."
"The business interface is clunky and not well-documented."
"If they could figure out a little better solution for the iOS stuff other than just a screen share, even though it's an Apple thing, and Apple doesn't like to give up control of their devices. If they ever got to that point, and I could manipulate an iPad or iPhone, that would be awesome. Since we have a bunch of iPad users who are struggling with doing different things, it would be nice to be able to just jump on and actually show them, "Here, do this, this, and this." Similar to what we do with the laptops, e.g. for training."
"The security could improve in TeamViewer."
"TeamViewer could improve by having a cloud version. Having the solution on the system could cause some cyber security concerns with data."
"Support for mobile devices from Linux has been missing since the Native client was rolled out. This was a nice option, especially when trying to walk somebody who was struggling to understand something on their phone."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Intune is inexpensive. It also comes bundled in some Office 365 licenses, so you can choose to purchase it separately or as a package."
"There is a license required to use this solution. However, it was part of a bundle package. Microsoft Intune is far less expensive than other solutions, such as Workspace ONE."
"I am not that aware of the pricing, but as compared to other MDM solutions, Microsoft is providing a lot of things at the organizational level. So, it is quite reasonable as compared to other MDM solutions."
"Based on the features that it gives, it is cost-efficient. It is not necessarily on the expensive side of the scale. It provides a hefty number of features that any organization would want. It is in a good price range."
"It's affordable. In comparison to the competitors, the price depends on what features you need from Intune, but it's affordable. There are no hidden costs, but there are some features that go for a premium price. Those are the add-ons for which you have to pay extra."
"Cost is not my department, but the product is included in the E5 license that we already pay for every user, so no additional cost is incurred."
"Microsoft Intune is moderately priced. There is a monthly license required to use the solution and it is approximately eight dollars per month."
"Licensing depends on how you are providing support to your enterprise, whether it's device-based or user-based."
"It was cheap and now it is comparably expensive. It costs me $484 to use the solution with just two physical PCs."
"We pay approximately 2,000 Euros a year for the solution. The licensing is all-inclusive; you don't have to pay for extra add-ons or services."
"The price was cheaper than what we were previously paying. At the time that we went with TeamViewer, we were using ShareConnect. The TeamViewer package was about half the cost and able to have a bigger number of users."
"We are not using the solution for commercial use therefore it is free to use."
"We are using the free version of TeamViewer."
"...it will cost you $1,500 to $1,600 a year, but when I think of how much work I do through TeamViewer..."
"The price of the license could be less expensive."
"We are using the free version of TeamViewer."
"TeamViewer pricing is reasonable... The simultaneous controller licensing model of TeamViewer - compared to LogMeIn’s controlled Host licensing model - seems to benefit us so far. We’re currently saving about 30 percent on licensing cost... The savings from licensing have been eaten up by the soft costs involved in dealing with and working around TeamViewer’s deficiencies in allowing granular control by multiple controllers, and the issues with the various settings that are missing on the macOS Host."
"The cost is in the thousands of dollars per year."
