Powerful accounting functionality, easy to implement, and same day support response
There is a tool in Infor VISUAL that is called Costing Utilities, they should make the functionality more flexible. In a future release, if they could add a CRM incorporated into the core of the solution that would be awesome. Additionally, a more flexible project model. They have a project model, but it's very challenging to set up values.

Provides efficiency for small businesses, but requires costly add-ons for broader capabilities
I am currently using SAP products but not primarily selling SAP. Regarding real-time data processing capabilities, it is partially helpful for decision-making. It has built-in capability for real-time data, but it's not interactive data analytics. People need another solution such as Power BI to be integrated to get real-time data with interactive analytics. When it comes to customizing reporting in SAP Business One, it has the capability to customize reports via SAP Crystal Reports. It has a good amount of reports, but for each business, you need to understand exactly what the customer needs to customize their reports. The solution includes a mobile app to access key business information, though it is a very weak mobile app. The main benefit SAP Business One provides to users is ease of access. It's very good to present to customers, both from the interface and capabilities perspective. It's suitable for small to medium companies, making the buy-in for the solution very good. The pricing for SAP Business One is very competitive. Overall, SAP Business One is a very good solution for small to medium businesses. If your company is looking for an ERP to run end-to-end business, this is the solution. You need specific add-ons to run in specific industries, but it's approximately 70% good for most small to medium companies. My overall rating for SAP Business One is 7 out of 10.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Infor VISUAL are its powerful accounting, multicurrency functionality, and production aspects. We implement the manufacturing for many customers. These are the main goals of the solution."
"The ability to link documents to accounts, partners and events via the Golden/Yellow Arrow feature is very useful."
"SAP Business One has many valuable features. It is highly flexible and has a solid background in accounting that is localized in a lot of countries. This makes it very user-friendly for a lot of different situations."
"I like this solution because it's fully integrated which means everything is connected."
"The top-level view and easy navigation to individual transaction levels are beautifully done in SAP Business One."
"We are providing the support, and we get good support from SAP."
"The most important features are the accounting and finance features, everything leads to finance, the initial setup is not too complex, it's stable, you can scale the solution well, and the pricing is good."
"I think that Business One is very stable."
"I would recommend this solution to new users."

Cons

"There is a tool in Infor VISUAL that is called Costing Utilities, they should make the functionality more flexible."
"This product could be improved the most in the user interfaces."
"There are limitations around integrations."
"Lacks an advanced HR model with payroll."
"SAP Business One would be a great product if more customization is available."
"The price could improve for SAP Business One."
"The solution could improve by providing HR payroll, quality control, and maintenance. These are the missing features which we have to use add-ons solutions to provide the functionality."
"The browser access needs to improve, as everybody in the industry knows how limited it is."
"The billing functionality and the integration of one department to other departments are areas that need improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I rate the product pricing structure at around six out of ten due to currency fluctuations posing challenges."
"I rate the solution's pricing a six or seven out of ten since it is expensive."
"This solution can work with a very small company, but the price may not be the right, it may not be the right fit for them. We can't help with this because we have to really understand the market, the target audience, and we have to position the product accordingly. The price is not a very big concern because if the customer is finding value or the dealer, distributor, or implementation partner can show real value in the solution, then the price will not be a question at all."
"The price of SAP Business One is not comparable to other solutions. SAP is a well-known brand, and its price is on the higher side. However, if the solution offers the right fit for an organization the price is not a major concern for those who choose to use it."
"Though I cannot specifically state whether SAP Business One on AWS is a cheap or expensive product, I can surely say that it is a manageable tool from a cost perspective."
"The price of SAP Business One is reasonable."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten."
"There is a license to use this solution and the price is good."
