Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Take Control is a way to remotely take over the console of a managed machine, but it also gives you other abilities. You can take over the console, access the registry, throw commands at it in the background, and manipulate the file system Take Control enables you to collaborate with end users.…

Reliable remote access has improved secure collaboration and streamlined daily approvals
The best features TeamViewer Business offers in my opinion are collaboration, templates, a high level of security, and session recording. Collaboration allows me to collaborate remotely with my team members. Besides reconnecting automatically, it provides a high level of security, protecting from cyber attacks and aids in providing assurance in regulated environments through two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption features. It also allows recording live sessions, which can be replayed as needed for future reference. TeamViewer Business has positively impacted my organization as collaboration has enhanced, especially remote collaboration by 60 to 70 percent. I have been able to collaborate with clients and other team members seamlessly. Enhanced workflow efficiency includes faster approvals and a lowered risk of data loss, misuse, and leak through robust features like two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption. It also facilitates compliance using documentation and auditing through recordings and logs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a comprehensive security solution that not only controls access to enterprise resources but also tracks and prevents unauthorized access, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and preventing potential data loss scenarios."
"Microsoft Intune has been a time saver and reduces the time and effort IT admins have to invest."
"The most valuable feature is Intune's ability to push out updates for the security and antivirus. I also like Intune's copilot and the ability to automate processes. For example, if you have 5,000 employees who are issued new PCs and you need to set them up with everything they need."
"Users can make screenshots, and devices only need the minimal version of iOS."
"The most valuable features in Microsoft Intune for me are application deployment, Defender deployment, and asset management."
"The thing I appreciate most about Microsoft Intune is that the management of the devices was very simplified."
"I have seen a return on investment right from the start of the tool's usage."
"I particularly appreciate the administration and security features, which can be deployed easily."
"The most valuable part of N-able Take Control is being able to remotely access your customer's site. You are able to view their network. Once you have it set up, it's always available. N-able Take Control can be used even when other remote access controls have been made."
"Take Control enables you to collaborate with end users. It's for supporting a workstation where you want the person on the other side to see you moving their mouse, and you can work with them."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is very fast. The file transfer from remote machines to my machine or from my machine to the remote machine works well."
"Ease of use was the number-one thing. It's an industry leader for ease of use, specifically on the client-side, which is the absolutely critical thing. If I want to connect to somebody, how easily can I — without seeing their computer — walk them through the steps to install it to a point where I can key in the code and help them resolve their situation?... TeamViewer is just a dead-solid, easy answer."
"The most valuable feature of TeamViewer is the ability to remote into another device."
"The product and platform work well. That is why I have stay with them so long. The stability has typically been good."
"I find the mouse control and the ability to click for them very effective. I can move the mouse and click on buttons as if sitting at their computer. These are the basic features I use most often in the solution. There are tricker features that I don't use much because I don't need them frequently. Overall, it's a great tool for helping others with their computer issues without traveling to their location or another building."
"TeamViewer is a step ahead of solutions like, for example, AnyDesk."
"The implementation process is simple."
"TeamViewer Business has positively impacted my organization by giving us the ability to provide clients with a good experience and to fix bugs quickly while accessing their computers."

Cons

"Intune endpoint analytics can be challenging."
"Automatic updating is pretty rough. It doesn't give me as much control as I had in the past."
"Intune's server management could be better. If it could incorporate more features from System Center into Intune's Configuration Manager, it would be beneficial."
"For migrations, sometimes we experience some issues with OS deployment and the user experience side."
"Its configuration is fairly complicated. You have to do quite a bit of discovery to be able to deploy it for a customer. You have to ask them a lot of questions. So, its initial deployment is the biggest challenge. They should make it easier to deploy with the use of Wizards or something else. During the deployment stage, there could be profiles for the customers who are particularly wanting to use certain feature sets of Intune."
"Lacking in features such as Wi-Fi and network security."
"Microsoft support was not very responsive, and it took approximately one and a half months to get on a call to clear what the problem was."
"The solution could improve by having better integration with Apple."
"We've seen some latency problems in AWS environments. Aside from that, it's a pretty solid service."
"The dashboards I do not use because there are issues. The solution monitors your antivirus and other programs but it does not seem to work well."
"Having the ability to create subgroups and delegate permissions to the group members would be a helpful addition."
"It becomes complicated to switch from one monitor to another for different windows."
"I am not sure about all the features of TeamViewer, but if they have no voice communication or file transfer features they should add them."
"The performance could always be better."
"If they could figure out a little better solution for the iOS stuff other than just a screen share, even though it's an Apple thing, and Apple doesn't like to give up control of their devices. If they ever got to that point, and I could manipulate an iPad or iPhone, that would be awesome. Since we have a bunch of iPad users who are struggling with doing different things, it would be nice to be able to just jump on and actually show them, "Here, do this, this, and this." Similar to what we do with the laptops, e.g. for training."
"I believe latency can be optimized, and security control sometimes goes over the top and feels excessive."
"I think TeamViewer has many better options, and I suggest TeamViewer should also offer voice communication with my clients because writing is acceptable, but voice communication is much better."
"Some of the additional features, like the meeting stuff, is making it too cluttered."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It comes with the E5 plan. We bought the E5 plan from Microsoft."
"Microsoft Intune is moderately priced. There is a monthly license required to use the solution and it is approximately eight dollars per month."
"The price is reasonable, but they should lower it a bit to make it more competitive. It's cheaper than AirWatch and other products, but I still feel like Microsoft can make a base version or with Exchange online or a la carte only Intune version which will be useful. A customer who doesn't want to go full-fledged E3 or E5 can take out or consume an Intune solution only for their purpose, and we want to target that customer."
"Licensing depends on how you are providing support to your enterprise, whether it's device-based or user-based."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"Microsoft Intune is more expensive than other solutions, but it offers a wider range of features and control."
"My team members bundled it together with their Microsoft solutions, including Microsoft 365 and related products."
"Its price is in the medium range. It is acceptable because you're paying for the features. I am not aware of any additional costs."
"N-able Take Control charges you a monthly fee for every customer that you have booked in, and it used to be inexpensive but it's a little bit more expensive now."
"The solution has a pilot feature that is expensive. The overall price of the solution can be cheaper."
"TeamViewer offers a free version to try. Download and give it a shot. See what it's like and if you like it, then buy the license for it."
"There is a free and paid version of this solution. I am currently using the free version."
"It has probably saved us several thousands of dollars because we have quick access anywhere. We don't have to worry about finding people onsite or arranging conference calls. We also save time and money with it because we don't have to send somebody onsite to troubleshoot."
"It does what I need it to do but I think it's expensive. It wasn't easy for me to get approval from the company to get it... It's costing us about $700 a year, per license."
"I am using the free version of TeamViewer. There is a subscription fee to use the premium features."
"The pricing is a little bit on the higher side."
"TeamViewer is $600 or $700 per port per year..."
