Requires little maintenance, is stable, and easy to deploy
Oracle Application Testing Suite can improve by covering more browsers as compared to other solutions because they're considering the Edge browser as well, but the solution is working on different Windows operating platforms. For example, in our current Windows 2012 R2 server, if I want to automate the Edge browser, I need to upgrade that particular Windows to Windows 10.1 or some other Windows platform, because it's not supported in Windows 2012 feature. That is an issue. If cross-browsers can be incorporated, then support should be provided. There should be a single operating system where everything can be incorporated. I have faced issues with some indexing items. For example, the solution is able to derive some properties from the screen, such as button locations or text locations, but there are some elements, for example, unnamed buttons or text, where there is no name or ID or any other identifying information. Indexing doesn't always work, and we have to go to those elements manually and inspect them to determine their class, and then input that information into the system.

Positive experience with seamless setup and responsive support but pricing and version compatibility need improvement
I'm not ready to share what areas of Tricentis NeoLoad have room for improvement now. The price could be more friendly, and it was impossible to continue using the same version of Tricentis NeoLoad, as we were forced to move to the next version. Sometimes there were compatibility problems, and that was a major problem with backward compatibility issues.

Pros

"For a few years, OATS was the only tool that allowed us to load test our Computer Telephone Integration (CTI) with Siebel."
"User friendly UI / Tree view to work with adding steps."
"This is the best tool I have used till today as it allows us to handle automation in variety of ways."
"The graphics are very intuitive and it's very easy to get scale of development."
"We do not need a separate test management tool because we have there is a management tool. That is a very good feature. Secondly, it has an inbuilt performance testing tool, which is on flash. It has very good record and playback features as well. And apart from that, there is a good inspection feature. Since it comes with all of the packages, it's very good."
"Has good automation and load-testing capabilities."
"It's user friendly and in-built API support makes it very easy to automate or develop an automation framework."
"It has allowed more thorough testing with performance-based testing, in addition to regression testing and regular testing with each software release."
"The reporting features are great."
"We appreciate that this solution is very user-friendly, even if the user does not have a lot of protocol knowledge and experience."
"Tricentis NeoLoad is quite easy to use as compared to JMeter."
"The reporting features are great."
"A great deal of improvement in application performance happened because we could pin point the bottlenecks."
"The stability is okay."
"NeoLoad is more user-friendly than HPE LoadRunner."
"It helped us to improve the performance of all our applications."

Cons

"OTM Test Report – We needed to develop custom reports as there is less flexibility."
"Oracle Application Testing Suite does encounter some lag. When I am trying to record something, the tool gets stuck."
"I have faced issues with some indexing items."
"Transaction handling was very simple and I’d say quite primitive."
"We would like to see the instruction documentation made into video or audio formats, to help new users get used to the modules."
"To provide test automation support for other products like SAP, Windows and Java Applications when it comes to Functional Test Automation testing."
"I would like to see better dashboards."
"It needs to be compatible with all browsers."
"The SAP area could be improved."
"We would like NeoLoad to be able to support more protocols. Testing can also be a little tricky at times."
"LoadRunner supports multiple protocols, whereas NeoLoad supports only three protocols. With NeoLoad, we can go for the SAP technology, web-based HTTP, and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). If I have to simulate .NET application-based traffic, I won't be able to do that. So, protocol support is a limitation for NeoLoad. It should support more protocols."
"The price could be more friendly, and it was impossible to continue using the same version of Tricentis NeoLoad, as we were forced to move to the next version. Sometimes there were compatibility problems, and that was a major problem with backward compatibility issues."
"It needs improvements when handling binary values."
"It wasn't easy to learn how to use NeoLoad and it has a bit of a learning curve."
"Team Server - Neotys Team Server - This currently stores project data on the local drive. I suggest having Neotys Team Server Data stored on an actual server."
"There is room for improvement with the support and community documentation as it can be difficult to find answers to questions quickly."
