Centralized device management has transformed security and streamlined remote provisioning
One area where Microsoft Intune can improve is the user interface. Sometimes the portal feels a bit complex and not very intuitive, especially for new users, and it can take time to find specific settings. Another point is troubleshooting. While logs are available, the diagnostic policies and sync issues can still be time-consuming and not very straightforward. I also feel that reporting could be more detailed and customizable. The built-in reports are helpful, but for deeper insights, I often need to rely on additional tools. Overall, it is a strong solution, but improving usability and troubleshooting experience would make it even better. While Microsoft Intune works very well within the Microsoft ecosystem, the integration of some third-party tools could be smoother and require less customization. Support is another area that could improve, as sometimes response times can be slow, and resolving complex issues may take longer than expected. In terms of features, I think more advanced automation and built-in remediation options would be helpful since common issues can be fixed automatically without manual intervention.

Streamline enrollment with seamless security and integration while technical support improves
Integration is required first. Samsung Knox needs to be configured initially. Once configured for the first time, the process becomes simplified. For example, in our client's case, they ship Samsung Galaxy devices directly to employees. When the end user receives the device, they simply open the box and attempt to enroll by entering their username and password. No additional steps are required beyond that. There are very few questions asked. Once authentication is completed, the user can proceed without selecting many options. The system directly logs in, and the user receives apps pushed by the console. It is also integrated from the MDM. Certain apps are pushed to employees for their use. This ensures the work profile remains secure.

Effective product tracking and monitoring enhances daily operations despite needing documentation improvement
The documentation part of Workspace ONE UEM can be confusing. The documentation is not comprehensive compared to other VMware solutions or Microsoft documentation. Most people struggle to connect the dots when looking at the documentation. Even the training material and PowerPoint slide decks that trainers use are sometimes too confusing or overwhelming, with too much content but not enough clarity. The support side has recently become weaker compared to what it used to be with VMware. This is another area that needs improvement. Since working with Workspace ONE UEM from when it was AirWatch, it has improved significantly over the last five years. However, there are still some gray areas and scope for improvement, especially in documentation and workflow between different aspects of the solution.

Cons

"Intune should be much more granular in terms of supporting more Android cellular devices."
"It just doesn't handle software updates well at all by itself. You need to be a scripting wizard to make those happen properly, or you use third-party tools."
"If we could remote into a device, it would be great. Currently, we cannot directly connect to the user device. We have to use other tools such as VMware for connecting to devices."
"If you have a reporting-extensive company, for example, then you may need to look for other products."
"Microsoft Intune could be improved by providing more detailed and easier-to-navigate reporting and troubleshooting, especially when diagnosing policy failures."
"Intune is not the most user-friendly mobile device management platform available."
"What frustrates me the most is just waiting and tapping my fingers, uncertain about whether my changes will take effect."
"Lacking ability to leverage more iOS device management internally."
"The main drawback is that they need to expand this product beyond Samsung devices to include every device."
"The main drawback is that they need to expand this product beyond Samsung devices to include every device."
"Samsung Knox needs to expand customer features across all devices, not just Samsung devices."
"Features like private DNS would be very useful if pushed through Knox Manage."
"We faced multiple issues when pushing configuration profiles and policies through Samsung Knox. The students were cracking the entire system."
"In terms of pricing, this solution is definitely much more expensive compared to other solutions, like MobileIron or MaaS360 or any other product in the market."
"They could provide DLP integration for applications and specific user account security."
"The bigger vendors like VMware, Insight, and MobileIron can assign engineers to customers. You can work with them to develop the right competency to use the product."
"The mobile device repository is somewhat difficult to manage with a large user base."
"The security features could always use improvement, although there has already been a huge improvement from years ago."
"The Content Locker cannot inherit permissions for the Windows Public Folder. If they could integrate with Microsoft on this point, it would be the perfect functionality."
"I would like to see some integration with native Microsoft products such as anti-value."
"I would like to see some integration with native Microsoft products such as Anti-value."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This cost is approximately $30 USD per user per month."
"Pricing can be improved."
"It is reasonable. When you have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it is already licensed in that license. So, you could say it is free."
"Previously the price was $4 per month per user. Now it's $2.25 per user per month."
"The overall pricing of Microsoft Intune is good for companies that have big IT budgets, 3,000 or more users and devices."
"Every customer used to purchase licenses based on their needs."
"Microsoft Intune is expensive."
"Microsoft Intune has been incorporated into our Microsoft E5 licenses."
Information not available
"A person should pay towards the licensing costs of VMware Identity Manager on a yearly or monthly basis, but government and public sector units cannot for a perpetual licensing model."
"The solution can be costly when the customer is dealing with multiple platforms. If a customer is only dealing with iOS, Windows, and Android then Intune is the better choice because there are free licenses."
"We pay approximately thirty to thirty-five euros per device per month for the complete suite, and this is a fixed cost with one, three, or five-year licensing in advance. I would rate the pricing a four out of ten, making it affordable."
"While it is not inexpensive in terms of price, it is definitely worth it."
"We are paying about $145,000 a year on a three-year subscription with no ability to scale up or scale down within that class model."
"The price of the solution is costly for the number of users I am using it for."
"The pricing and licensing are affordable. They are not too high."
"The price of VMware Workspace ONE is reasonable."
