We benefit from built-in automations like notifications and standard processes, but customer support needs improvement
Learning Sympa HR was a mix of basics that were easy to grasp and some aspects that required more understanding due to customization. While it adapted to some of our specific needs, there were still areas that needed further tailoring, especially in integrations with other systems like Zoom. Currently, we're not using AI features in Sympa, but we're considering it as a future project to automate manual tasks in HR, although we're mindful of data privacy concerns when integrating AI tools with confidential personal data. I would rate Sympa HR at a seven out of ten. While it has some fundamental issues like allowing multiple leave applications for the same dates, it also offers a nice user experience. I would recommend it with reservations. If you're clear about your needs and can manage some shortcomings, it's a good option. However, if you require more reliable system support, you might want to explore other alternatives.
Streamlined time tracking boosts operational efficiency across multiple regions
The time tracking feature is the most effective for employee management. UKG is used in Europe, the United States, Australia, and East Asian countries for HR activities like payroll. The application is like an ERP, providing comprehensive features for organizations, simplifying their processes, and reducing the need to use multiple software solutions.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Sympa HR was helpful since it helped me manage HR master data in a single system."
"One of my favorite features of Sympa HR is its customization options. You can tailor it to meet your specific needs, which is really beneficial for HR processes."
"Technical Support: 9/10, there are times we are able to stump the tech."
"It is a huge timesaver and having all our info in the same platform is fantastic."
"Customer service is very good when you get their attention."
"Allows us to keep HR functions centralized."
"We have not encountered any deployment issues."
"Hours are saved each payroll period on data entry."
"It allows me to disseminate the information in the way I see fit."
"Streamlining of processes, and reporting is a huge improvement over the previous provider."

Cons

"Sympa HR has some fundamental issues like allowing multiple leave applications for the same dates. That needs improvement."
"As a developer, I can say that some of Sympa HR's back-end functionalities, like the API systems, aren't fully fledged or modern enough, a downside of which Sympa is aware."
"Sometimes a system would be down, but it would be quickly resolved."
"The navigation on the screen could be better. Sometimes, I have to dig a little bit deep to find what I need. Everything is there. It just needs to be a little bit smoother."
"LMS integration in Career Development needs to improve."
"Only issues is slow response time when checks have needed to be voided or reissued for payees."
"Implementation was a long bumpy process. UltiPro is very customizable which is great once you are implemented, but it makes it difficult to implement out of the box because a lot of work goes into making decisions about how the system will be set up."
"From an implementation standpoint (not at my current organization), taking the time to truly listen and understand unique complexities that might be outside standard capabilities of the system."
"Customer service is 5/10. Technical support is 5/10."
"Increase product knowledge in their customer service people. My experience has been when I speak with a support person, I know more than they do."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"While I am unsure of the licensing cost itself, the total cost of implementation and licensing for a company with over 5000 employees would be around 6,00,000. So, there are additional costs beyond licensing."
"UKG's pricing and licensing model involves ongoing expenses based on the number of employees paid. The initial implementation cost is low when UKG implements it directly. However, when partners handle the implementation, it becomes more expensive since partners don't receive the monthly recurring fees."
"I wasn't involved in the pricing part. I'm a user, and I believe it is based on the user count. One thing that is nice about Ultimate is that you can learn how to use the system without additional fees. The learning aspect is the life of a product, and the training was a huge reason why we went with Ultimate. We did have some integration costs. They were a part of the implementation because of the integrations to other systems that we included in our implementation."
"The pricing depends on the number of licenses we buy."
"If you're going for the full suite, it can be fairly pricey."
"The platform is not affordable but also not the most expensive."
