Great reporting and customizations with good reliability
A lot of the improvement is not so much the product as it is how it's deployed; it's about mapping against what you need to improve your processes, whether it's the Kofax kind of shows in the IDP. You've got process orchestration, extraction and robotic process automation, process orchestration, and then mobile. Tracking what you need out of those, either all five together or one of those separated out, is usually what's more critical. They do add capabilities to the tool. However, from our perspective as a consulting organization, the real key is whether you are getting the data you need to improve your process or if your reporting is not providing you with the desired information you need to improve your processes. If there's any negative, it's just the different names, the branding names that the product's gone through. It's confusing.

A stable solution with a comparison feature that helps people to understand and visualize the impact of a particular task
UiPath Process Mining is as lightweight a tool as it is new. It's not able to handle a lot of logs in one go at high speed. The solution's speed is fairly good, but it should be further increased to make it more powerful to process large amounts of logs. Logs should be as much as possible. We have taken one year's and sometimes two years' logs to understand the behavior. We are not here solving small problems because a lot of money is invested. I have observed that handling a large amount of logs slows down the solution's performance. This area is improving because we are now observing a new version of UiPath Process Mining with improved speed. As a developer, I'll be happy to see that happening more quickly, and I am sure the solution is heading there.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The initial setup is straightforward."
"You can easily customize reporting to pull the fields that interest you."
"It provides the ability to design applications directly."
"The product was highly stable, and the data flow was very smooth."
"UiPath Process Mining is an excellent tool; if you have the right ERP systems and you have good data quality, then you can apply Process Mining for the best results."
"There are other automation tools on the market but Uipath is the leader with many capabilities."
"UiPath Process Mining is definitely stable."
"The core mining analysis is strong."
"Process mining helped in understanding data complexity and security, determining if human validation was required before dispatching credits or debits in SAP, and creating a comprehensive blueprint of the process."
"One of the reasons we have gone with UiPath is because it was a business decision and because our company subscribes to the UiPath automation suite, which includes RPA, etc. We thought it would be efficient to keep everything on the same platform."
"If the end user is happy, it means I am happy."

Cons

"If there's any negative, it's just the different names, the branding names that the product's gone through. It's confusing."
"It would be ideal if there were some standard forms that could be customized."
"The initial setup is complex and would be difficult to carry out without any training."
"I used to be a trainer and an instructional designer. I think the training has to be more specific — it's a little scattered."
"Document Understanding can read up to a certain amount of accuracy. While I understand that they have already started working to improve that accuracy right now, I think the accuracy is still only around 85-90%. I would call that our main problem with UiPath currently."
"We feel there is some problem with the user interface, it is sometimes difficult to navigate to the area you want. Additionally, the bot hangs at times."
"I think they need to work more on producing low code to make it more end-user-friendly."
"The remote desktop we utilize suffers from inconsistent performance, sometimes functioning well and other times not."
"There are a few complexities involved in setting up the solution."
"Data crunching needs to be done by an analytics team and then imported."
"When I used UiPath, there were no connectors to extract data from databases or data warehouses."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We are using the Community Version of UiPath and have only a single process automated."
"The price of the solution could be lower. However, Automation Anywhere is approximately $8,000, and when comparing these solutions, UiPath Process Mining is less expensive. The license for the solution is purchased annually."
"UiPath Process Mining has different licensing types for users, developers, end-users, or designers. I don't have the figures, price-wise, but because my company is a UiPath partner, there's some discount offered when you buy in bulk. UiPath provides a good deal if you're a bulk user. UiPath Process Mining gives you value for money compared to some of its competitors in the market."
"UiPath Process Mining is not very expensive, and that is where it beats Celonis."
"UiPath's licensing is based on how many documents we process using this solution."
"UiPath Process Mining is better priced than Celonis, which we found to be on the costlier side."
"I found the pricing for UiPath Process Mining expensive when you compare it against the pricing for Power Automate."
"UiPath Process Mining pricing is comparable to other tools in the market."
