My main use case for Dell Enterprise Laptops is as an endpoint. In my day-to-day work, all of our colleagues carry Dell Enterprise Laptops, typically office users as well as in our branches.

Improved productivity through reliable performance and fewer hardware issues
Pros and Cons
- "Dell Enterprise Laptops have positively impacted my organization by making us much more productive, offering speed and reliability, and being less problematic than our older versions."
- "I would like to see fewer driver updates, especially when they're new, in order for it to be a ten for me."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
Dell Enterprise Laptops offer plenty of USB ports, good screen graphics, and reliability. Dell Enterprise Laptops have positively impacted my organization by making us much more productive, offering speed and reliability, and being less problematic than our older versions.
Productivity has improved as we have seen fewer help desk calls with hardware issues with the laptops, and we have ordered faster processors and more memory, so the device performance has improved greatly for all of our users that use Office and Office 365 applications.
What needs improvement?
I think Dell Enterprise Laptops could be improved by placing the microphone on the outside of the unit for when people use their laptop at a desktop and they close the shell. I would also like to see a mute button or a mute light actually on the keyboard, as that would help.
We still need both USB-A and USB-C ports, as there is a lot of legacy USB-A still out in the environment.
We would like to see an improvement in the naming convention, as we're used to the 5, 7, and 9 series, and we find that the Pro, Pro Plus, Pro Premium is really confusing.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Enterprise Laptops for six years.

Portability and strong support have enabled remote work and fast issue resolution
Pros and Cons
- "The biggest return on investment when using Dell Enterprise Laptops is the versatility and the ability to work from anywhere, which makes remote work much easier."
What is our primary use case?
The main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops are employees that work remotely and use them around the office if they need to bring them to different events.
What is most valuable?
The feature of Dell Enterprise Laptops that I appreciate the most is the versatility, as they can do whatever you want with them. They're light and portable.
Dell Enterprise Laptops allow us to be more mobile. We can work from anywhere.
The biggest return on investment when using Dell Enterprise Laptops is the versatility and the ability to work from anywhere, which makes remote work much easier.
What needs improvement?
The laptops can always be lighter and faster, but I think they're pretty sufficient right now.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Enterprise Laptops for probably the last dozen years or so.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I've never had an issue with the stability and reliability of the laptops. The service is great on them. If there's ever an issue, Dell usually shows up at the office within a day and fixes it.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Since 2020, everyone's using a laptop now, so it was very easy to expand the usage of Dell Enterprise Laptops and very easy to convert.
How are customer service and support?
Regarding customer service and technical support, if there is something wrong, we log a ticket and someone comes right to the office and fixes it. I appreciate the fact that we don't have to ship it out or anything. We have the pro agreement, which provides this service.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I was using Dell Enterprise Laptops before, and everything's been Dell for years.
How was the initial setup?
I don't see any challenges with the deployment process of the laptops. The initial setup with how we want it to work takes a little bit of time, but other than that, it's pretty easy.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing of the laptops is fine. We have a decent deal with Dell, and I think they're affordable.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have not evaluated other laptops in my journey recently, as everything's been Dell.
What other advice do I have?
Dell Enterprise Laptops use an Intel CPU inside. The Intel processor handles my workloads smoothly, so I don't see any issues. The processors are great and speed everything up. I can't think of any specific outcomes or improvements that I would attribute to the Intel processor off the top of my head. I'm not sure the Intel processor influenced my purchase or refresh decisions when choosing enterprise laptops. I got a new laptop because of expiring laptops needing to be refreshed since they were older, which helped speed things up. My advice to other companies that are considering getting Dell Enterprise Laptops is that they're good, they work, they're affordable, and they're quick. I would rate the support a nine out of ten.

IT Support at Coru
Supports seamless daily operations for help desk and communications teams with reliable performance and strong vendor support
Pros and Cons
- "The specific features that I appreciate about Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops include good functionality."
- "The specific features that I appreciate about Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops include good functionality, good connectivity, and high performance while running Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro as a good all-around laptop."
- "Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops could be better in terms of additional features."
- "Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops could be better in terms of additional features."
What is our primary use case?
The primary use cases for Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops are that they will be primarily used by help desk agents who'll take calls to record information provided by customers. They work in a part of the Department of Health. There are other employees who work in communications, marketing, and IT as well.
What is most valuable?
The specific features that I appreciate about Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops include good functionality.
We're all using Office 365, Outlook, and Teams. We're using Adobe Acrobat Pro as one of the apps. It's a good all-around laptop with good connectivity and high performance.
What needs improvement?
Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops could be better in terms of additional features, however, for our usage, we did look at AI. It's probably not suitable for us at the moment. We're really using it for basic usage, documenting in Word or Adobe Acrobat, just using Teams quite a lot, Microsoft Outlook.
I'm not sure what additional features we'd need at this moment in time. Obviously, the better the performance, the higher the performance, the better for us connectivity-wise. They're very good anyway at that.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been in my current field for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I haven't experienced any performance issues or crashes with Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, however, there have been some issues.
The last batch I received two years ago, the Dell Latitude, had a couple of laptops with camera issues, and probably one or two of those just needed the camera replaced. In some cases, it's probably just a software update that was needed.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops scale with the growing needs of our company, and we have expanded usage of laptops. At the moment, we have 110 staff. Of that 110, by the time we roll out these ones, 70 of the 110 will have Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops. The other 40 or 50 are HP. The plan is to get more, to get up to 110. We will definitely be scaling up.
How are customer service and support?
My experience with Dell support is excellent. I've only ever had to call them probably twice. You have to go through the troubleshooting steps, even though I'm an IT professional myself, that's the right thing to do.
I find that their troubleshooting is excellent. When they send an engineer, they are here in a few days. They do a good job for us when we need it.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Negative
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
The primary reason that we are moving from HP laptops to Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is due to historical reasons, possibly a decision before I joined the company, and, under the government office of procurement, we have a contract with Dell for a few years to buy their hardware.
I would rate Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops as being in the top range for sure. I used to be with IBM for 20 years, so I would have had Lenovo laptops. They were pretty good.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on my investment. We have an agreed-upon price that is significantly less than the market price, so that would be the return we receive.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing and licensing of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is that, due to the pricing, we get the laptops probably around four or 500 Euro cheaper than the retail value as we have a contract, an agreed price that the office, the government office of procurement has agreed with Dell.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I hadn't considered other laptops before opting for Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, as I wasn't involved in the negotiations that brought Dell on board, so I'm not aware of their considerations.
Generally speaking, when it comes to contracts, they will go to at least three different suppliers and they'll get quotes on who they go with.
Since we have a contract with Dell, all our laptops will come from them. We won't negotiate with anybody else, and that will last for a couple of more years. If we're buying other types of hardware, monitors, we'll get three quotes from different companies, or other peripherals, keyboards and mice. For the laptops, we're exclusively with Dell for the next few years.
What other advice do I have?
You have to get your Windows updates. In our department, updates don't roll down automatically from a server. We're just manually updating remotely. The plan is to eventually have the updates roll out automatically, which would eliminate many problems. Usually, most problems are solved by Windows updates anyway.
On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops a ten out of ten.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

Reliable laptops have streamlined remote onboarding and secured mobile work for our hybrid team
What is our primary use case?
I am currently using the Dell Pro Max 16.
I choose Dell Business Laptops because of the name Dell itself; I know what I'm getting when I buy a Dell laptop, and it's guaranteed to work and do what I need.
Using Dell Business Laptops makes it much easier for our remote workforce; they can always just remove their laptop, whether they're hotspotting from a phone on the beach or driving down the road as a passenger. The best use case is the accessibility of having the laptop whenever they need it.
What is most valuable?
The way Dell Business Laptops come already enrolled in InTune is one of the most valuable features, as it makes my life much easier when getting new employees onboarded.
The security features of Dell Business Laptops, such as the TPM, secure the laptop so well that it's a backbone of why we use it; should the laptop get lost or stolen, as long as they don't have that TPM code, they're not getting into it.
We have a hybrid workforce, and since COVID, I moved everyone away from desktops to Dell Business Laptops, so it's helped tremendously.
What needs improvement?
I think the only way Dell Business Laptops can be improved is by continuing to work on making them lighter; that's the only complaint I have about the laptops I buy, as some say they're heavy and don't feel like carrying them home or elsewhere. For the most part, that's all, and the laptop does not even weigh three pounds, but it's still heavy when put into a backpack along with all your other gadgets, so the biggest issue is the weight.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been in the industry for 14 years.
What other advice do I have?
My organization has been using Dell Business Laptops the whole time, but we upgrade them every three years.
When choosing Dell Business Laptops for my organization, I try to address specific challenges such as making sure there's no latency and ensuring that they have the latest and best laptops available.
My top priorities when selecting Dell Business Laptops for my organization are storage and RAM.
If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would first see what the use case scenario is; depending upon that scenario, whether they're going from the Latitude to the XPS to the Precision or now the Pro Max, I would gauge what they're looking for, but I would recommend a Dell laptop over any other industry laptop there is.
I rate this product a 10 out of 10.

Provides reliable performance and fast access for educational workflows with strong support
Pros and Cons
- "The features of Dell Enterprise Laptops that I find most valuable include the battery life, which is valuable in our environment, along with the screen size and the quality of the notebook itself."
- "Realizing any return on our investment into Dell Enterprise Laptops is tricky since we are in the public sector, so we do not have profit, and it only costs money."
What is our primary use case?
The main use case for Dell Enterprise Laptops in my organization is for education purposes, including teaching and being taught.
What is most valuable?
The features of Dell Enterprise Laptops that I find most valuable include the battery life, which is valuable in our environment, along with the screen size and the quality of the notebook itself.
I find the build of Dell Enterprise Laptops valuable; we have few issues, and the new models for teachers feature face recognition and fingerprint capabilities for faster access, along with good hardware, including a good processor, good memory, and a good motherboard.
What needs improvement?
In my opinion, Dell Enterprise Laptops could be improved by offering color options such as pink. Pink is a nice color that I think would enhance the aesthetic. Dell Enterprise Laptops are not currently available in pink.
My advice for someone considering Dell Enterprise Laptops based on my experience would be to experience them, and if you do not like them, talk to your account manager or vendor, as it is the best way to see if they are suitable for your organization.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working in my current field, focusing on technology and education, for a significant amount of time.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I assess the stability and reliability of Dell Enterprise Laptops as very good; we have little errors and little malfunctions, so overall, it is very good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Dell Enterprise Laptops scale well with the growing needs of our organization; you can use them longer than you planned, and they last longer. Sometimes we even extend the usage period by one year.
How are customer service and support?
I evaluate their service and customer support as very good; if there is something wrong, it gets solved in a reasonable amount of time. If I encounter problems, I can call my account manager, and he solves it for us.
If I were to give a rating to their support on a scale of one to ten, I would rate it an eight because I think it can always be better. I do not have a specific suggestion for where they need to improve their service or support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Prior to adopting Dell Enterprise Laptops, we only had some other laptops for specific users for heavy-duty gaming purposes, and then we had to choose another model.
How was the initial setup?
My experience deploying Dell Enterprise Laptops is smooth; we take them out of the box, connect them to our Microsoft 365, InTune, and Autopilot, and perform a new Windows installation before giving them to the user, so they do what they need to do.
What was our ROI?
Realizing any return on our investment into Dell Enterprise Laptops is tricky since we are in the public sector, so we do not have profit, and it only costs money.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing of Dell Enterprise Laptops shows that the prices are in range, so the price we are offered is within expectations.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We switched to Dell Enterprise Laptops primarily because of the use case; the user wanted a specific laptop for their job, and we could not find a model from another vendor with the same specifications. Before choosing Dell Enterprise Laptops, I never had other laptops to consider overall, as we have 22 years of Dell experience, and while we looked at other models or other vendors, we always came back to Dell Enterprise Laptops because the service was very good.
What other advice do I have?
The models of Dell Enterprise Laptops I am using include the Pro line, with specifics such as the Pro Plus 16, and for students, we have the 3300 series, along with the 2-in-1 laptops.
We mostly use Intel processors in our laptops. The model of CPU we use is mostly from generation five, but now it is seven because we have scaled up due to AI development.
The type of workloads users are running on Dell Enterprise Laptops is not very intensive; in some cases, we use Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or InDesign, but mostly Office applications and web applications.
I cannot describe any specific outcomes or improvements that I would attribute to the Intel processors in Dell Enterprise Laptops. When choosing enterprise laptops, the Intel processor does influence my purchase or refresh decisions; we prefer Dell Enterprise Laptops with Intel inside only because we have good experience with them.
The Intel processors handle our workloads sufficiently compared to what I expected. I would give this review an overall rating of eight out of ten.

Touchscreen functionality and reliable performance have supported daily cybersecurity operations effectively
Pros and Cons
- "There have been so many improvements—speed, reliability, battery life; it gets better every year with the new release that they make."
- "I evaluate Dell Enterprise Laptops customer service and technical support, and tech support is a whole other issue."
What is our primary use case?
My main use cases for Dell Enterprise Laptops are related to what they are currently selling now, and we got a great price on them.
On a day-to-day basis, I do cybersecurity, so my whole task is to monitor the entire network, all the computers, the EDRs, MDRs. I make sure no bad things are trying to happen.
What is most valuable?
The feature of Dell Enterprise Laptops I like the most is the touchscreen.
I prefer the touchscreen because I dislike the trackpad. The touchscreen is a good way to go.
There have been so many improvements—speed, reliability, battery life. It gets better every year with the new release that they make.
What needs improvement?
At the moment, probably nothing can be improved about Dell Enterprise Laptops. The weight and size are pretty good for what we use them for, though a better warranty instead of having to buy an extended three-year warranty would be beneficial.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Enterprise Laptops for roughly 20 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability and reliability of the newer ones are great, but the older ones have typical wear and tear issues; nothing out of the ordinary, so far, it's satisfactory.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Dell Enterprise Laptops scale to the growing needs of my company about an eight out of ten; it does the job.
How are customer service and support?
I evaluate Dell Enterprise Laptops customer service and technical support, and tech support is a whole other issue. The tests they make you do for a simple issue are frustrating; you understand what the problem is, but you have to do their testing. Other than that, I have no issues.
From one to ten, I would rate the support about a six or seven, because if I didn't have to do all the unnecessary things they want me to do and they just sent me what I need to fix it, I would give it a ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have considered other laptops before choosing Dell Enterprise Laptops; we've tried a few and just come back to Dell Enterprise Laptops for the pricing that we get.
How was the initial setup?
I would describe my experience with the deployment of Dell Enterprise Laptops as simple, with relatively no pain. I just unbox them, light them up, and they're good to go.
What was our ROI?
The biggest return on investment for me when using Dell Enterprise Laptops is the support. Every time there's an issue, a tech is on-site and fixes it. We're good to go the next day or two.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing has been relatively easy, smooth, with no issues.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have evaluated other CPU vendors, including AMD.
The performance of Intel stood out to me, which is why we stay with Intel. It's the best bang for the buck, pretty much, as an overall purchase.
Choosing Intel is an easy decision; we just go straight for the Intel. It's the best bang for the buck, and we get the performance we need with no issues and no complaints.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to other companies that are considering buying Dell Enterprise Laptops is to focus on price, warranties, and support.
Regarding positive aspects, my recommendation is to follow their model; they are doing it right.
I have rated this review a 9 out of 10.

Provides reliable performance for work tasks but the battery has shown early decline
Pros and Cons
- "I particularly appreciate the size of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, specifically the screen size."
- "From a price perspective for business functions, it's really functional."
- "The battery life on Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is not optimal."
- "The battery life on Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is not optimal."
What is our primary use case?
My primary use case for Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is for work purposes. This includes emails, some design work for slide decks for presentations, and basic administrative tasks.
What is most valuable?
I particularly appreciate the size of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, specifically the screen size. It is a bit chunky, at 14 or 15 inches, however, it provides a nice, decent display compared to my last laptop, which was a very old HP model.
The keyboard is a nice size with a number pad, which is beneficial for a laptop. Most of our company uses Dell because it offers nice pricing and decent quality.
What needs improvement?
The battery life on Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is not optimal. Though it's an economical laptop, so they probably won't put the best battery in it, the battery life is inadequate even at only six months old. It might get 90 minutes to two hours. I'm uncertain if it's just this specific laptop with a problematic battery, but it hasn't had a great lifespan since I received it.
For how long have I used the solution?
I received Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops about six months ago. It's either a Longitude or Latitude model.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops are very reliable.
How are customer service and support?
I have never used Dell support previously. We have an IT company that manages all of our IT needs. If we experience any computer or software issues, they are addressed by Dell, so we generally do not contact Dell support.
I would evaluate the services and support from the third-party company at about seven stars. They tend to be somewhat slow. They're a small enough company themselves, though we have considered potentially switching.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I used to have a Mac, and prior to that, when it died, I had an HP. Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops perform all the functions that I need. From a price perspective for business functions, it's really functional. It's perhaps a bit heavy, and the battery could be improved, but otherwise, our teams find them very manageable.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It offers a nice price for decent quality.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We considered other laptops before choosing Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, as everyone previously used Macs. From a price perspective, when we decided to update our older devices, we determined Dell was a better fit for our company. As a small media company, our design teams still use Macs, but for all other business functions, everyone now uses Dell computers.
What other advice do I have?
I haven't discovered anything significantly different compared to what I normally use from Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops. The operating system is standard, and everything works smoothly. We use Google Workspace, which functions efficiently on the laptop.
I have used other Dell laptops prior to this role, including a Latitude model from around 2004 when I worked for Dell. They are reliable with a lifespan of four or five years, after which it's more practical to purchase a new one rather than attempt repairs.
I would rate Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops a seven out of ten. It's very functional, appropriately priced, and while there are potential improvements, it provides everything needed for the price point.

Uses powerful GPU capabilities to support modeling and rendering tasks
Pros and Cons
- "Overall, I appreciate Dell Enterprise Laptops."
- "The only issue I sometimes experience is battery problems, but other than that, they are quite stable."
What is our primary use case?
I am currently using Dell Enterprise Laptops. My main use case for them is GPU.
What is most valuable?
One feature of Dell Enterprise Laptops that I like the most is the GPU.
The benefits I appreciate about the GPU are that we do a lot of modeling in labs, so there are many users that have a need for GPU for 3D modeling, which is why I value this feature.
What needs improvement?
I can think of a few potential improvements for Dell Enterprise Laptops, such as a bigger drive or more memory.
I would like more memory.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Enterprise Laptops for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability and reliability of the laptops are good. The only issue I sometimes experience is battery problems, but other than that, they are quite stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of the laptops is fine. They scale well with the growing needs of my company or system.
How are customer service and support?
My experience with customer service and technical support is fine.
I would rate the customer service and technical support a 10.
I do not have significant thoughts on the customer support and technical service to share. In the past, sometimes you have to pursue them to get an answer, but most of the time they are very good at providing one.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
My company considered Lenovo and HP before choosing Dell Enterprise Laptops.
The winning selling point was pricing.
How was the initial setup?
The deployment process of the laptops involves an image that gets created for us in-house, and it goes quite smoothly. It is a proven image that we have used for a long time, and I do not personally deploy it myself.
What was our ROI?
The biggest return on investment for me when using Dell Enterprise Laptops is how fast they are and how they can render images.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing has been quite good. I do not get too heavily involved in the pricing because someone else handles that, but it is good.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have not evaluated other CPU vendors.
What other advice do I have?
I am not thinking of switching right now. Overall, I appreciate Dell Enterprise Laptops. I would advise other companies considering these laptops to get them and try them out. I would rate this review a 10.
