The main use cases for Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops are general everyday use, as we have different departments in our business, and it varies across the board, with some users preferring nice, light laptops while others prefer heavier ones with more processing power depending on their role. We have around three or four standard laptops that we buy from Dell and two different types of desktops, with one being the micro form, the little mini one, and the other a normal size.

Pros and Cons
- "I would assess the stability and reliability of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops as excellent, as I have not personally experienced any crashes or performance issues and, in general, if there is an issue, we have a warranty with the laptops allowing us to get onto Dell support and have it fixed, often within a day thanks to our next business day warranty."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The most likable features of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops depend on the model. For our sales team and executives, it's important to have a nice, light, handy laptop that can be carried easily, with some having touchscreen ability and some being two-in-ones, making them really handy for traveling. For the tougher, bigger ones such as the Precisions, it's about being able to perform certain tasks with ease along with excellent support and warranty options.
We are currently using Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, primarily Latitude models, and for laptops, we have some Precision models for our development team that work with SCADA, 3D AutoCAD, and 3D drawings, so we have more powerful devices for those purposes.
What needs improvement?
In terms of improvements for Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, we generally sit down every year with Dell to agree on the models we're going to purchase for the next 12 months, and there are generally no struggles. They meet the use cases of our users, but the biggest issue is that some users prefer to hold on to the same laptop for years because everything is on it.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops for as long as I've been in the company, which is 24 years.

IT Infrastructure Administrator at a consultancy with 11-50 employees
Reliable work laptop has supported daily tasks and personal activities for many years
Pros and Cons
- "I think Dell Business Laptops are one of my top one or top two options."
- "When I compare it with a Mac that I have, the only thing I can say about Intel or Dell notebooks is that the battery is the main issue, though that is a CPU issue and not necessarily a Dell issue."
What is our primary use case?
It is my daily computer and my work computer. I also use it to handle all other matters, including my personal and work items.
What is most valuable?
One of the main features is that Dell Business Laptops are more heavy resistance and do not have the issues that you have in other lines and versions. Additionally, one of the features that I have had the chance to use a lot is the port replicator that I usually received when I got the new machine, as well as the docking stations.
What needs improvement?
My current machine does not have the pointing device in the middle as the mouse or trackpad. My newest enterprise Dell is probably two years old, so I am still using Windows 10. The camera has very good quality, and the overall quality is very good. However, one of the things that is common in the industry is that all notebooks are becoming less fixable or more tricky. When I compare it with a Mac that I have, the only thing I can say about Intel or Dell notebooks is that the battery is the main issue, though that is a CPU issue and not necessarily a Dell issue. MacBooks are in another level when compared to Dell notebooks. I am very used to working with Windows and have never had problems with that computer, even with the old one that I have had for probably ten years or more, which is still working after some repairs.
I do not have much to complain about. The one that I have now is an i7, so when the CPU is running at high levels, it is a little noisy, or I feel the cooler starting to work.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Business Laptops for twenty-five years.
How are customer service and support?
Regarding the support here in my country, which is Argentina, and my experience with Dell in recent years, I think Dell is a better option today. I received support locally without problems five years ago for one of the old ones that I still have.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have been using other Lenovos, other Dell models as a home user, and I have also worked with ThinkPad and MacBooks.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I think Dell Business Laptops are one of my top one or top two options. To be honest, if I had to buy a computer for myself, I would probably compare between Dell Business Laptops and Lenovo ThinkPad, not other options. In recent years, based on my experience using them and the support available here in Argentina, Dell Business Laptops is a better option than Lenovo ThinkPad.

Pros and Cons
- "The performance is good, and they deliver strong capabilities at an affordable price."
- "While they may not offer the absolute best performance, in terms of balance between cost, performance, and support, Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops are number one."
- "They can be improved by having fewer problems and requiring less support, as it would save money for external support."

What is most valuable?
The features of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops that I value most are related to performance. The performance is good, and they deliver strong capabilities at an affordable price.

They can be improved by having fewer problems and requiring less support, as it would save money for external support. There are very few cases of issues, and they work normally without major problems.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops for 20 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Regarding the stability and reliability of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, I have experienced downtime and performance issues, however, these come from Microsoft, not from Dell. Different types of Windows updates have stuck my system and caused virus checks, so the issues originate from software, not from hardware.
How are customer service and support?
My experience with the customer service and technical support of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is that they are excellent. It can be somewhat difficult to open a case if I call Dell directly, however, I use one of the suppliers, Hyper-Global, and they provide the best service I could imagine.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used other computers besides Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, specifically Toshiba. There is a significant difference between the two. Toshiba has zero trouble but offers less performance and less development as it uses older technology. While Toshiba requires zero support cases and has zero trouble, their technology is at a lower level.
What was our ROI?
The biggest return on investment when using Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is that I replace them every four or five years, which saves money and provides good performance for my company.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Regarding the pricing, setup costs, and licensing of Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops, I don't deal with licensing. We have an enterprise agreement that covers all license issues.
The hardware cost is balanced. While they may not offer the absolute best performance, in terms of balance between cost, performance, and support, Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops are number one.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I am considering switching from Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops to another computer. I already use daily switching, and while there are minor user interface issues, the switching decision comes from corporate management and does not depend solely on my decision.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to other companies considering Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops is to research and try them.
There is no best laptop in the world; each company has its advantages and disadvantages. Some companies require the best performance, while others look for the best price or support.
I found that Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops provide the best summary and overview of all these features. While they're not the best laptops, they offer the best value for investment.
I rate Dell Enterprise Desktops and Laptops eight out of ten.

Reliable laptops have supported daily business work and simplified routine maintenance
Pros and Cons
- "Dell Business Laptops have a good processor and their hard drives last well, they have good memory and function very well for all the companies I've worked with when using Dell."
- "Dell can do better with their charger because the charger is a little bit big."
What is our primary use case?
I use Dell Business Laptops for my end users, and I also have them set up for consumers to use for their daily tasks.
I repair them when they are faulty, and I put images on them as needed.

They are strong and stable. When you are working on a Dell laptop, you can see how functional it is, and overall it is good.

For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Dell Business Laptops for about thirteen to fourteen years.
How are customer service and support?
I have contacted Dell's technical support regarding these laptops when the screen got broken. That was something that the user did; the laptop fell out of his hand and the screen got broken.
I called Dell and shipped it to them for them to replace it because the laptop was still under warranty.
The speed of the support from Dell was very quick. I sent it out, and the following week I got the laptop back. I would rate them a 10.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used HP, Lenovo, and Acer as well. I prefer Dell Business Laptops because they are durable.
Their memory and processor are very good, unlike other brands where we sometimes face challenges with their processor speed and memory.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of these laptops is pretty easy. The only thing is that when you are setting up for a company, the company has its own image and software that needs to be done or downloaded onto them.
Apart from the company's own policy, Dell setup is pretty easy.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing for Dell Business Laptops is reasonable.
What other advice do I have?
Dell Business Laptops do require maintenance on the user's end or on my end. They do require Windows updates and maintenance when they are faulty.
In the organization I work with, we have a routine that every three months all the users come to the office with their laptops for us to examine them to see if they need maintenance. Most of them just come and they just go back because Dell is a durable product.
Dell Business Laptops allow you to install anything you want from the start.
I would rate this product a 10 overall.
