The battery could be deactivated in some way from the operating system so it doesn't have to be constantly charging and discharging. For example, in my case, I use the laptop in a single place and I always have it connected to the charger because I don't use it elsewhere.

My main use case for Dell Business Laptops is for development, testing, and performance as my firm is migrating to Windows 11, so I am conducting testing on this platform.

I use the laptops for development and testing mainly for application compatibility testing and performance. I have to matrix the performance. Additionally, I test integration with items such as Dell hub monitors, so I need to use this laptop to connect to the Dell monitor. At the same time, it connects to our thin client.

For my main use cases, I do not have a specific project to add, but we are testing the Windows 11 image to ensure it is compatible, has no performance breaks, and works well. At this time, my focus is mainly on POC and testing.

In my experience, the best features Dell Business Laptops offer are the sleek look, the comprehensive features, and the overall experience. I feel the screen and the resolution are very sharp. Performance-wise, it is quite good overall. I am still in testing, so I cannot definitively identify the main differences at this moment, but the overall experience compared to previous generations is significantly faster and better. The sleek feel and experience are excellent.

Regarding how the new screen and speed have made a difference in my daily work and testing, I observe that rendering is much faster and I do not experience lagginess. Additionally, toggling between screens and performing tasks such as calculations or working in Excel is very responsive. The performance has been good. When I view a video, there is no lagginess, and it is very crisp and sharp.

Dell Business Laptops do not currently impact my organization as we primarily use VDI most of the time. However, we have cases that use laptops for building Windows 11 and business needs. I am certain it will impact my organization in determining whether it suits our needs. From my testing, I believe it will help, and I can propose to our procurement team that we can proceed with using this laptop for our future development and business use cases.

Based on my testing, the specific outcomes I am hoping to achieve for my team and organization by using Dell Business Laptops are centered on the features, travel-light capability, compatibility, and the laptop's performance, which benefits the business. We have existing laptops that are end of life, so we are moving forward. I believe we will use this next for the business case.

Currently, I do not believe there is much that can be improved on Dell Business Laptops from my perspective. However, I believe Dell is a great company that continues to develop more innovations for us.

I would like to note that so far there is no need for improvement; you have been doing excellent work. I do not believe there is much room for improvement, but in the future, I think adding more powerful NPUs, increased RAM, and a more powerful CPU in the next generation would be beneficial.

I have been using Dell Business Laptops recently, having received the device approximately half a year ago.

Dell Business Laptops are deployed in my organization on-premise, as our AI infrastructure is both on-premise and cloud-based.

I would rate Dell Business Laptops a nine out of ten. I chose nine out of ten because my model is not the top-end model. I would say for a business laptop at the higher performance level, I chose the medium range. A nine is the appropriate rating. However, if I were to get the high-performance model, I would rate it ten out of ten.

For our private cloud deployment, we use GitHub Copilot and large language models.

In my role and responsibilities regarding IT procurement, I work in solution engineering, so I conduct POC testing for Windows 11 and ensure the stability of the operating system and the hardware. With this information, I can actually recommend to the procurement team whether we can proceed with this business laptop.

While not my top priorities when selecting laptops for my organization, I would recommend and speak to how good this laptop is. Of course, the organization still has a panel discussion about which model to choose. However, I am certain our organization is partnered with Dell, and we will definitely procure business laptops from Dell.

Dell Business Laptops have been our standard for over 10 years. We are currently conducting a refresh and moving to Dell Pro 7s across the board.

I joined this organization mid-COVID when the company was focused on providing Dell Business Laptops to users working hybrid or remote roles. They would come into the office sparingly, but providing standard laptops, equipment, docking stations, and monitors ensured a familiar experience when they did visit.

We are still in the middle of that refresh, so we do not have tight metrics at this time. This is an ongoing effort, and we are currently starting with our IT team before moving on to other end users in the district.

Usability and battery life are my top priorities when selecting laptops. Many of our laptops go to executives, and if they have a machine that dies too quickly or consistently, they are not happy.

There are many great features with these laptops. The fact that everything is trending toward USB-C means one dock and one cable makes everything simpler and easier. This is our biggest feature and biggest use case.

Something that provides many good resources and availability for our end users ensures they never lack for anything. Dell Business Laptops Pro 7 are very light, compact, and easy to use. I do not have a negative thing to say about them.

I have been in the industry for about eight years.

Dell support has been great. Every time we needed something, we always get the extended warranty with the laptop, so if we do have an issue that we cannot fix in-house, we contact Dell support. They will either send a certified technician over or we send it out to them, and it has always been quick with a very great response.

We have had a long-time partnership with Dell Business Laptops, and even the company I was at before was also a Dell shop, so it is a very familiar product that is very easy to use and user-friendly. Our end users never had a complaint about it.

No other brands can really compare to Dell Business Laptops. They have many great qualities, great features, and great hardware that I would stick with that. It is going to work out, and your end users will be happy about it too.

When selecting laptops for my organization, portability and power for certain aspects of the company are the primary considerations. Most of the time it is standard, but we have a lot of field workers, so portability is the main focus.

In addition to portability, we also address power in certain aspects of the company because we are diverse in what we are doing. We do landscaping, tree work, wetland studies, and quite a wide array of other services.

The features I found most valuable include the Connected Config for Dell, which allows us to deploy the features we need and ship it day in and day out.

Since switching to Dell Business Laptops, my end users experience more reliability, for sure. Since deploying Dell Business Laptops, I would say it improved everything, with Dell Business Laptops device life cycle being longer and the cost being significant as well.

The security part aligns with our organization's needs regarding Dell Business Laptops. A big improvement that could have been made to Dell Business Laptops was the modular USB-Cs, but they fixed that, which has been great.

I have been in the industry for five years.

My experience with Dell Business Laptops support has been pretty responsive. As of lately, with Dell support, we have had some issues with delays in responses. The time to issues that used to take a day or two to resolve now takes a week, and they are canceling requests and handling it in ways that are problematic.

If you are recommending laptops to a peer, I would say that if you are looking for performance and power out of a portable laptop, Dell Business Laptops are a strong choice. I would give Dell Business Laptops a rating of nine out of ten.

I am using PowerFlex and PowerVXRAIL along with other Dell products like Dell PowerProtect and Dell PowerEdge. Everything is Dell in our hospital; I use a Dell laptop, all desktops, everything. I am using the Latitude series of Dell Business Laptops, so I am okay with it. There is no problem. In our hospital we have been using Dell Business Laptops for more than 10 years. We are using more than 300 laptops in our network for daily wear and tear of Dell Business Laptops. We have around 600 PCs with OptiPlex, so it is working fine. That is not a problem. Of course, when you have numbers, there is some break and tear always happening. Sometimes it comes from the user experience, but overall it is okay. I am using the OptiPlex model of Dell Enterprise Desktop.

Normally our operation is not that critical in supporting remote work; we are a hospital. We have around 20 hospitals around the country, so we have less laptops than desktops. For example, we have around 800 desktops and we have only 150 to 200 laptops, not much. So we always use the desktop. We prefer to use it because we are giving patient service.

The laptops allow for easy management by IT staff. The support is good. As long as it is in warranty, we used to get claims and we get it very smoothly. That is why I prefer Dell, especially the after-sales support and the warranty parts availability. It is good; I always prefer Dell Business Laptops over any other brand when it comes to integrating with my existing IT infrastructure. I do not have any difficulties deploying Dell Business Laptops in my system. We are utilizing the security features like TPM chips and BIOS level protections. I have always, for example, security things, all these things, firmware updates, everything, I am using centrally. I am getting no issue. It is okay.

I am not getting the chance to use the AI-enhanced performance features such as noise cancellation, high-quality webcams, and fast boot times. I am not getting the ProSupport service provided with Dell Business Laptops. Basically, I have ProSupport only for my server and the data center. For the PC support, normally, I do not take any ProSupport from Dell. I have my own team, so they are doing the repairing and only the parts we always get claims and we get replaced from the local distributor.

Regarding Dell Business Laptops, when I compare a 10 year or five year before laptop bill of material with what I am receiving now, the quality has degraded. I am talking about the plastic of the body. It does not feel the same before. I have been using the Latitude series for a long time, more than 10 years. Out of this, if I say the last three years, we are getting the product quality, talking about the body, is not the same as the previous version. If I give an example, when you unscrew from the back to open to repair or to clean, sometimes the screw hole gets torn. The bill of material is not the same as before. They should take care because the Latitude series used to provide robust performance. As for performance wise, it is okay, but the bill of material of the outer box should be improved.

The pricing of Dell Business Laptops is always competitive. It is not high, it is not cheap. Of course, when you are talking about Dell Latitude, it has a higher end price, so it is okay. I would like to see more battery life as an additional feature in the future to make it better.

In our hospital we have been using Dell Business Laptops for more than 10 years.

I would rate their technical support at 9 or 10. The support is good. As long as it is in warranty, we used to get claims and we get it very smoothly. I prefer Dell, which is why I buy Dell. I have switched to Dell Business Laptops for the last seven to eight years. Before, we were using HP. For more than seven years to eight years, I have been switching to Dell totally. My whole full industry, my full group, they are using only Dell.

The specific challenge we addressed when choosing Dell Business Laptops for the organization involved two different types of users: developers who create software for our fintech company, and finance professionals who work with contracts, HR, and client support using the standard model.

Our end users experience improved satisfaction when switching to Dell Business Laptops. Since deploying Dell Business Laptops, measurable outcomes include high user satisfaction. I have spoken with all the developers regularly, and they are very happy with Precision laptops. However, they expressed concerns that the company may transition to Precision models because we started rolling out Latitude devices in some areas with developer specifications, including 64GB RAM and an i7 processor with the Ultra 5550. They worry about potential cost-cutting measures, as those Dell Latitude models are cheaper than Precision.

The most valuable features in the laptops depend on the work users perform, such as processing speed and RAM.

Regarding security features, our recent acquisition of a business unit, SSNC, in the UK uses WMS, which is controlled from the Dell cloud. I believe these systems are very secure, known as Dell Thin Client 3340. Compared to normal domain join laptops, these are more secure for our organization.

The features we are getting are sufficient for our needs. Regarding improvements in build or cost, I believe the cost is high, especially for Precision models. If the cost could be reduced, we could distribute these laptops to more people instead of only developers.

My organization has been using the laptops for approximately five years, though I believe deployment started before that timeframe.

The main factor that led me to rate Dell Business Laptops an eight is longevity. They are more reliable, and we receive fewer tickets for hardware issues. These laptops have performed well for five to six years without causing problems.
