My usual use cases for SAP Crystal Reports involve designing reports based on the requirements of the clients and management, such as profit and loss, graphs, multiple reports, sub reports, and dashboards.

One of the best features of SAP Crystal Reports that I have found most valuable is the sub report, which allows me to merge many reports into one report.

The ability to integrate SAP Crystal Reports with other SAP applications benefits my organization very effectively in terms of data analytics and reporting because if I am stuck on something, I can use SAP Crystal Reports as an analytics tool similar to Power BI, and inside SAP, I can use many dashboards with this report, which is very useful for SAP, such as SAP B1 or SAP S/4HANA.

I assess the impact of SAP Crystal Reports' dynamic parameters on the customization and flexibility of my reports as very good. Sometimes it creates a problem when it suddenly closes during work due to improper shutdowns, but most of the time it's beneficial since I can fetch the data in one report very efficiently, which is great for the company.

The sub reports in SAP Crystal Reports help me enhance the depth and detail of my reports by allowing me to use multiple sets of records, especially when I have very large requirements, such as company dashboards that show what sales, purchases, productions, and HR are doing. Using sub reports as the main report is very beneficial because I can pull multiple department data into the main report.

Over the years, SAP Crystal Reports has had a very positive impact and benefits. It's a powerful tool to design any kind of report if you have knowledge of the database, and it can attach to both HANA and SQL databases. I can also connect this data with Excel, which makes it a very powerful tool for me.

I believe SAP Crystal Reports could be improved or enhanced because one of the problems I am facing with it is that sometimes it hangs and uses too much memory, which is frustrating. If it is closed due to any problem, it should be able to recover where I left off, similar to Excel, which should be a feature for SAP Crystal Reports.

I have been working with SAP Crystal Reports for 14 years.

My usual experience with the deployment and installation of SAP Crystal Reports is straightforward. It's not too complicated, and if you know the basics of installation, you can do it easily. While development and deployment might require some technical knowledge, it's not typically too difficult, though sometimes it can be challenging if you're unfamiliar with certain things.

I measure the efficiency gained by my organization from SAP Crystal Reports' multiple export format options, such as PDF, Excel, and Word, as very good. Most of the time, there is a need to send customer invoices, vendor invoices, or pay slips, and being able to export in PDF or Excel and send it to the concerned department makes it a very good tool.

I evaluate the scalability of SAP Crystal Reports as 10 out of 10.

I assess customer service and technical support of SAP Crystal Reports as satisfactory. I have not needed any technical or customer support since purchasing it, and I have not encountered any problems requiring assistance.

I have seen a return on investment with SAP Crystal Reports. If you buy SAP, you should have this tool because at the end of the day, management needs to see the output of the system, such as sales and purchases data, and while you can design things in Excel, not everything is covered without SAP Crystal Reports, so it's a very good investment for my company.

I am aware that the pricing of SAP Crystal Reports gradually changes. When I bought it last time, I don't remember the exact price, and I need to check the current price on the portal.

SAP Crystal Reports is neither too expensive nor too cheap. You can afford this tool very easily.

I did not evaluate other options or vendors because most of the software is recommended as SAP Crystal Reports, which is why we stick with it. Most ERPs are using SAP Crystal Reports, so we will not consider another tool.

I have been using SAP Crystal Reports for six months.

I am using SAP Crystal Reports to develop data-driven reports and use customer data printing.

When I use SAP Crystal Reports for customer data printing, it is primarily for generating customer invoices.

The best features SAP Crystal Reports offers are powerful data connectivity, customized report design, interactive and visual reports, import, export, sharing options, and automation and scheduling.

My most favorite feature is the powerful data connectivity capability. It helps to connect a wide range of data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, XML, and more.

Using SAP Crystal Reports had a strong impact on our organization. It saves significant time by automating routing reporting tasks, and it reduced manual effort in preparing customer letters and reports.

The accuracy of data improved decision making, and the clear and professional formatting enhanced client communication. Overall, it increased efficiency, provided fast insight, and supported better business outcomes.

SAP Crystal Reports could be improved with more modern user-friendly interfaces and better integration with cloud platforms and AI tools.

It would be beneficial to have easier integration with Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, and similar cloud technologies. The UI improvements should include modern design and drag-and-drop simplicity.

The drag-and-drop design tools could be made smoother and more visual similar to modern BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI. Integration of a real-time preview and a live preview panel that updates instantly while designing the reports would make it much easier to use.

SAP Crystal Reports is stable for the moment.

SAP Crystal Reports is moderately scalable. It works effectively with small and mid-size teams, allowing multiple users to develop and share reports efficiently.

Customer support for SAP Crystal Reports is nonexistent.

I did not previously use a different solution before SAP Crystal Reports.

My advice for others considering SAP Crystal Reports is to first clearly define your report needs. It is a powerful tool for creating accurate, professional, and automated reports, but it works best when data sources are well-structured.

Invest time in learning the formulas, formatting, and scheduling features and use AI tools, and be aware of its limitations in real-time analytics or large-scale dashboarding. With proper planning, it can significantly save time and improve business insights.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate SAP Crystal Reports a 7.

The main use cases for SAP Crystal Reports involve business scenarios that require different schedules related to tables and data interactions, enabling views for dashboards, with clients, such as cosmetics businesses, linking data on sales, delivery, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment, facilitating business analysis and backend reporting.

SAP Crystal Reports provides a clear picture for customer and vendor orders, showing whether orders are pending and delivering receivable and payable statuses, which allows understanding different scenarios categorically for client needs, ultimately satisfying both customers and clients.

The efficiency gained by our organization from SAP Crystal Reports is measurable through multiple export formats such as PDF and Excel, which makes accessing and understanding data from the database easier. The ability to generate different formats facilitates better data analysis, although occasionally advanced features such as workbench center directly enhance the experience.

The impact of SAP Crystal Reports' dynamic parameters significantly affects the customization and flexibility of reports, allowing adjustments to parameters based on client needs, such as date, users, and ledger views, ensuring data is correctly collected and formatted according to the client's requirements.

I would like to see improvements in SAP Crystal Reports regarding integration capabilities, enabling better practices and testing to enhance data accuracy and efficiency for company sectors, recognizing the importance of precise data management over multiple months of integration.

I have been working with SAP Crystal Reports for six years, focusing on different SAP modules for production planning, sales, finance, and various enterprise solutions tailored to different client needs across multiple sectors, including retail and sales.

I have four years of experience in integrating SAP Crystal Reports with SAP B1, working for multiple companies since 2019, including the largest manufacturing company, Crown Auto Parts. The overall environment is the best. Data management, graphs, and layout – everything is the best, in my opinion.

It is good at customization in context with Crystal Reports. I use Crystal Reports on the front end, and SQL Server on the back end. So we can build any kind of report and face no difficulties in our routine reporting. So, flexibility is of great importance to me. 

Maybe some Power BI-related features could be added, like dashboards or direct editing in reports. We use query language to build reports; this area could be improved more.

We were dedicated to Crystal Reports, and now they have shifted to SAP reports. While both functionalities are similar, there might be some enhancements or additional features to look forward to in the SAP version. However, I haven't encountered any issues. I've consistently used SAP Crystal Reports in my role at an enterprise infrastructure company named NJESM for the past ten years. During this time, I've downloaded numerous applications that utilize SAP Crystal Reports for creating fixed and interactive reports.

SAP Crystal Reports offers a plethora of features, many of which were available much earlier than in the Crystal Reports we previously used. We extensively use its capabilities for generating general reports, working with Kaspersky data, and even incorporating images into our reports. The range of functions available in SAP Crystal Reports is diverse, and we leverage them across various systems for our needs.                

It has significantly enhanced security features, especially when compared to the standard security features of the earlier PeerSpot version I purchased. I've observed improvements in security, and overall, it's quite commendable.

Regarding potential enhancements for the next release of this solution, I haven't closely examined SAP Crystal Reports 53. I've only encountered it briefly, perhaps once or twice. However, I anticipate that it likely offers advanced features distinct from its predecessor. I believe there may be notable improvements and additions in the latest version, and I look forward to exploring them further.

I've been exclusively using SAP Crystal Reports for the past two decades, and I've stuck with the same version for the entire period. The version I've been using may be an older release, possibly an initial version or an MVP edition. 

I have utilized the system extensively. In the past, I personally generated reports using SAP Crystal Reports, particularly for various databases. The data integration was facilitated through SAP HANA, making it a standard and efficient process.

There is no issue with that. Additionally, it provides flexibility, especially in the context of business intelligence, where dashboards play a crucial role. Typically, users transition from Crystal Reports 53 to later versions, like SAP Crystal Reports 7 and 8, which introduce additional features such as PIN security for enhanced security purposes.We currently utilize on-premises solutions. However, it appears that the trend is shifting towards cloud-based platforms, where many processes are now handled automatically. 

I have solely worked with older versions of SAP Crystal Reports, and as for support, it is limited to on-premises solutions. Regarding deployment, it was handled internally, and there was no involvement of third parties such as integrators, resellers, or consultants.

The cost of licensing can be a significant factor to consider when upgrading or transitioning to a new version of SAP Crystal Reports. It's important to evaluate the benefits and features offered by the new version against the associated costs to ensure it aligns with your organization's needs and budget.

If someone inquires about it, I would unequivocally recommend SAP Crystal Reports. It is the ultimate ERP solution, and there's no better alternative. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate SAP Crystal Reports a perfect 10.

We use SAP Crystal Reports for operational reporting. We have two types of operational reporting. Commercial documents like quotations, order confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices are made in SAP Crystal Reports. We also have listings and operational reports used in our company's commercial or logistic part.

SAP Crystal Reports should provide better support for dynamic connectors. The solution should export reports to Excel in a real Excel format and not in a paper-oriented way. The solution should include an easier multi source integration. It would be nice for the main report to have access to multiple sources.

SAP Crystal Reports is more suited for medium and enterprise businesses. I would not really recommend the solution for small businesses. We have a license for 130 users.

We have hired consultants because the direct support was not good. The solution's technical support's response time and quality must be improved. The solution's technical support should also improve its front end because it's very complex to ask a question and escalate it.

SAP Crystal Reports is a very expensive solution.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing a two or three out of ten.

Since it's a visual tool, what you design on your screen is what you get on your paper. The solution is really paper-oriented. SAP Crystal Reports is really a tool where the output is either a PDF or a printout.

We have two steps. The first step is to send all commercial documents to customers, including quotations, order confirmation, invoices, and credit notes based on SAP Crystal Reports. The second step is to use SAP Crystal Reports to generate all delivery listings for the commercial division or the logistics department.

We used to have some backloading reporting, but that has been removed. Integrating SAP Crystal Reports with other systems in our environment is quite easy.

Overall, I rate SAP Crystal Reports an eight out of ten.

In our company, we use SAP Crystal Reports for designing the layouts, templates, creating the dashboards, and for fixed reports. In short, the tool is used for creating a couple of layouts and reports.

Almost all the features of the solution are good, including its connectivity to the database. Also, JDBC connectivity, performance, data storage capability, the dashboard, its chart capability, and the extensive library of the function are quite impressive about the solution.

If at all possible, a little bit of improvement on the analytical side is needed. I know there are some other tools that SAP is already working on, but if it is included with Crystal Reports, then it will be much better.

Along with impressive performance and data storage capabilities, it is also possible to seamlessly deploy the solution.

It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution between eight to nine out of ten.

Currently, only two technical users are there. In short, only two users are using the solution.

We haven't really contacted the support team of SAP. For some functional stuff, we coordinated with an SAP partner.

The initial setup of the solution is pretty easy.

The solution is deployed on-premises.

We had deployed the solution long back in our organization, and it was a seamless deployment.

For those planning to use the solution, I would urge them to look at the extensive documentation that SAP has provided on SAP Crystal Reports. Then, it can be used for creating reports and all.

In the category of reporting tools, I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.

We use the solution to run reports. If there is any customization required, We do that.

We can pull the data from different tables in one form from other data like BigData. It is user-friendly and easy to export data.

When connecting the database in Crystal Reports, users are unaware of which data is in which table. We can segregate the tables for sales, data stored in these tables, and property. It is used to pull the data from the backend.

I have been using SAP Crystal Reports as a customer for two years.

The product is stable.

SAP Crystal Reports is smooth. There are no difficulties.

The product is very good with the features provided and as per the user license. It is neither expensive nor cheap.

We have also been using Microsoft Dynamics CP for the last 12 years. It is also running smoothly. We get all the data of the crystal reports. Microsoft Identity Suite provides its releases if there is any requirement, a new setup, or any new customization.

I recommend the crystal record because It is user-friendly.
Our technical team does the initial setup and installation part. We are doing customization. We do the customization part if there is any modification, new requirements, or new fields in the report.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is a fantastic way of generating reports. My only issue with the solution is that it is a bit complicated, though I admit that it is also a very sophisticated product at the same time with which you can do almost everything you want. My only grievance is that the product is not compatible with the latest platforms provided by Microsoft.

SAP Crystal Reports has some compatibility issues with third-party products. If we want to move our software onto a more recent platform using a recent framework, then SAP Crystal Reports won't work on that.

I have been using SAP Crystal Reports for many years. I use the solution's version embedded with Visual Studio 2019. I am a software consultant, developer, and user of the product.

Around 50 people in my company use the solution.

We don't need administrators to manage the solution in our company. Our company has an internal team of developers, and we generate reports for the rest of the staff members using the solution.

You can find technical support through SAP's online communities but not directly from SAP.

The internal team of developers at my company was involved in the deployment of SAP Crystal Reports since it is a part of or embedded in the application that we deploy. In other words, we write reports with SAP Crystal Reports in our application and then issue an application to the users. The reporting part is done with the help of SAP Crystal Reports.

I feel that SAP Crystal Reports is a reasonably priced product.

We use SAP Crystal Reports in our company but plan to move to a different platform. I am interested in Logi Report even though I have never seen it. I learned from my research that converting from SAP Crystal Reports to Logi Report is impossible.

Though I evaluated a few other options, I was looking at something embedded, the same way SAP Crystal Reports is embedded into Visual Studio, which makes it an easy-to-use product because it is a well-integrated product.

I find SAP Crystal Reports to be a good solution, even though it may not be easy to use. Overall, it is a complicated solution that doesn't work with certain frameworks. SAP has issues functioning with Microsoft .NET Core, and because of this, I would like to see if any alternate solutions are available in the market.

The only suggestion I have for others is to check whether it would be compatible with future releases of other products since certain platforms do not support SAP Crystal Reports.

I find the solution comprehensive and complex since I have successfully achieved everything I have tried to do with SAP Crystal Reports. The only thing my company wants is for SAP Crystal Reports to be compatible with the latest frameworks of Microsoft.
