Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange Platform Reviews

We use the product to control traffic and for user management purposes.

The product’s most valuable features are data discovery, activity control, and zero trust exchange.

There could be a feature to view the VPN tunnel activities in terms of configuration.

We have been using Zscaler Cloud DLP for a year and a half.

I rate the product’s stability a ten out of ten.

We manage accounts for around 2,000 to 3,000 Zscaler Cloud DLP users. It is a scalable product.

The technical support services are good.

The initial setup process is easy with a helpful GUI. It takes a second to complete the deployment.

I rate Zscaler Cloud DLP a ten out of ten. It is a good and easy-to-use product with efficient scalability.

The main purpose was to use it as a zero-trust solution. Or also to have control over the inbound and outbound traffic coming and going through the end user's device.

It does the job. What it is needed for. I can use it for VPN, I can use it for secure connections, I can use it as a firewall. So the solution does the job.

It has a limitation, if you are creating a rule or something for a web application or something, you could only add five users, not more than that. Five or four users are only included in a rule. If you want to create a rule for more than five or four users, you have to go through other methods, not particularly with the application. Working within the application with this method would be quite easy as compared to listing a URL or a normal IP address.

I have been using this solution for one and a half year. 

It is a stable product.

It is a scalable solution. Around 300 end users are using this solution.

The customer service and support have a good SLA. They return queries on time.

I would say go ahead because it has a quite friendly interface. It has a lot of stuff you can do. If you are using the old infrastructure technique, you would love it because you can control most of your endpoints network on the device by a single interface. That is the Zscaler.

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. 

We use the solution to restrict uploading over public sites. We control the users’ actions through DLP. Only users who have access can upload files. We manage multiple policies.

The policies are very easy to implement. It's very easy to understand. We have the option to assign time limits to the access we provide. For example, we can implement a policy for one year for a particular user. Once it expires, we can disable it.

We have some limitations while checking logs. The product must allow users to check logs for an entire year in the local console. Currently, we can check logs only for the previous three to four months.

Forcepoint provides multiple services separately, but Zscaler does not provide separate DLP. It will be good if Zscaler provides the DLP module separately.

I have been using the solution for the last two years.

I rate the tool’s stability a ten out of ten.

The tool is very scalable. I rate the scalability a ten out of ten. Approximately 5,200 people are using the solution in our organization.

We are also using Forcepoint.

The initial setup is very easy.

The product is a little more expensive than other tools.

We do not face any challenges with the product. If we have any problems, the vendor helps us. The product is everywhere. Everyone is using it. It's very, very flexible. It provides a single solution for multiple modules like DLP, proxy, and firewall. Overall, I rate the tool a ten out of ten.

We use Zscaler Private Access to authenticate our applications, which provides a more secure way to access the Internet from our work environment. We have multiple policies for different types of users. When new users join the company, they authenticate the VPA application to access the Internet. We use SSL bypass policies, tenant restrictions policies, and Microsoft tenant cloud application policies. We also use File Type Control Policy for all categories of files, and our traffic goes to the WAPAC file and the application. We are using services as per the requirements of our clients.

The most valuable features are the File Type Control and SSL bypass policies. We have multiple options, such as very flexible policies and modules in Zscaler. We will define them based on our requirements and the active Internet. We also have geolocation users. For example, a user from Singapore moves to Dubai. When the user tries to access the Internet, Zscaler automatically detects the geolocation and drives our traffic to the other channel. There is no issue here. 

When using a Blue Coat, we have some problems. Sometimes, some of our users have some issues, but once we update the agent, the traffic goes to the current geolocation without any problems, and they can access it. Sometimes, we have some URL categories blocked in our environment, but HPE sometimes removes the block. We request that the vendor to remove the block from the correct URL category. They provide a suitable solution based on the findings.

There is some issue while accessing the portal. It takes too long. It will take longer if I am on the URL Cloud App category and switch to other tabs.

I have been using Zscaler Private Access for five years.

If something happens, they have integration and they send notifications. I rate the solution’s stability a ten out of ten.

If I need to switch the policy to another task, the solution takes time. I rate the solution’s scalability a nine out of ten.

Compared to other proxies, such as Glook and IronPort, Zscaler Private Access is very easy to handle.

The initial setup is easy. You need to configure the proxy tool for the network configuration. They can forward multiple services based on the client's requirements. If we need to use the VPA, we need to authenticate. It takes one day to implement the solution, but for smooth running, it takes around a month because of timely revision.

The solution is expensive.

The categorization issue is dependent on the end user. For example, if I am trying to access a categorized URL but need to access it for work, I should be able to request a change to the categorization. Forcepoint can change the categorization itself, or the client team can do it for me. This is enough to change the categorization to meet the requirements. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

Zscaler CASB breaks down at times. 

I have been working with the solution for six months.

We use Zscaler Cloud DLP to maintain data load and for storage reports. 

The solution is the best for storage. 

We have issues with the tool's maintenance and networking. It should be able to work in offline mode as well.

There are many use cases, but primarily we have been utilizing it for cloud and web security purposes.

The solution offers a simplified network infrastructure and security functions, and it enables secure remote access for the users. 

Zscaler SASE provides a wide range of security features such as DIA, VPS, and VDS while maintaining a seamless performance.

We faced certain migration and implementation challenges in executing the tasks, so I would suggest improvement related to the stability of the solution. It would be beneficial to ensure a smooth transition with no to minimal interruption of the operation.

I have been working with Zscaler SASE for two years.

The solution's stability relies on highly stable internet connectivity, so the absence or disruption of it directly affects the operations.

There have been some issues regarding the migration and flexibility of this solution while performing the integration of the data.

We are fairly satisfied with the customer support that is provided by Zscaler SASE's team. They are equipped with expert technicians and whenever we had to open the ticket with them, the issue was solved professionally. The only difficulty is time management as they might take some time to resolve what you asked for. I rate it eight out of ten.

Zscaler SASE is quite expensive compared to other solutions. The price is not fixed and it does not include all of the features, so my advice for organizations would be to evaluate their specific needs and budget to determine if this solution aligns with their requirements. I would rate it an eight out of ten. 

I would recommend this solution due to its exceptional user-friendly nature and comprehensive security capabilities. I rate it a seven out of ten. 

Zscaler functions as a kind of proxy, but they lack responsiveness when it comes to customer requests. The granularity in blocking is not sufficient. For example, when a new domain is detected, it is automatically blocked for 30 days. If there is no further information, it is added to the trusted list. Attackers are aware of this and take advantage of it. They set up a benign site, get it categorized as safe, and then introduce malicious content afterward. Trying to get the categories reassigned or realigned is a challenge, as Zscaler is not very responsive in addressing such issues. In my experience, compared to BlueCoat, Zscaler falls short in terms of responsiveness.

I'm currently reviewing Zscaler for our organization. We implemented it about two years ago. It's part of our zero-trust architecture initiative. 

However, we need to compare it with NetScout. Zscaler has certain capabilities like SD-WAN, and the proxy is quite good. Although, I had to stop using SD-WAN because it wasn't integrating well with Microsoft or Kaspersky.

It is stable. In my experience of about five years, I have only encountered two problems caused by it. So, I wouldn't rate it a nine out of ten. It's generally stable, with occasional issues.

The scalability is pretty good. I would give it an eight out of ten. However, their responsiveness to customer concerns is not as strong as other vendors I have worked with.

There is definitely an ROI. Before I joined my current company, it was implemented about a year and a half ago, and it significantly reduced noise and improved team visibility. The SOC has always been satisfied with its performance. 

So, I believe there has been a good return on investment compared to my company's previous solution, Fortinet, which wasn't very effective. We are very happy with Zscaler.

When it was implemented, it beat the competition on price according to the two companies I know that have it.

Overall, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten. 

We can use Zscaler Private Access as a recipient for external communication. Zscaler Private Access can help users sitting in our organization domain and trying to access their own internal company sources. The traffic is forwarded to us through the Zscaler Private Access node, which we can have in our own infrastructure, or it can be hosted on the Zscaler private cloud.

We are using Zscaler Private Access to build our own Zscaler private node. Although this node is maintained and managed by Zscaler, it resides in our own data center or domain. So the traffic forwarded from the user system towards any internal resource will go through this private node.

Zscaler Private Access is a platform that eliminates the complexity of VPN configuration. Zscaler Private Access is easy to configure and manage and takes less time to configure. We can manage our own application or secure our application and our own internal traffic. We can create a security node in our own infrastructure.

We are getting some issues with internet access. Authenticating or onboarding something on Zscaler Private Access manually is a troublesome task. Users report application access or latency issues with Zscaler Private Access.

I have been using Zscaler Private Access for the last two and a half years.

I rate Zscaler Private Access eight and a half out of ten for stability.

I rate Zscaler Private Access an eight out of ten for scalability.

Zscaler Private Access' initial setup is not as easy as ZIA, but it's okay compared to other platforms.

Zscaler Private Access will ease your task, equal to a VPN. Lots of companies are using their own VPN access.

Overall, I rate Zscaler Private Access an eight out of ten.

We manage multiple customers using ZIA and ZPA to access internal resources and secure their own web applications. It acts like a VPN access connectivity, and ZIA is used as an internet gateway for users.

Sandboxing, DLP, and SSL inspection engine are the most valuable features of Zscaler SASE. Zscaler SASE is an easy-to-use tool that manages the cloud security architecture.

Currently, we are using APIs, and we need some enhancement on the script running with the Zscaler SASE cloud API. Also, it would be better if we could integrate with other vendors. We often face performance and latency issues with Zscaler SASE.

I have been using Zscaler SASE for the last four years.

I rate Zscaler SASE a seven and a half out of ten for stability. We face performance issues if there is any anomaly on the nodes bonded with our architecture from some location. We also face some routing and latency issues on Zscaler SASE that need to be rectified. In addition, there are no dedicated Zscaler nodes in countries like China and Dubai.

I rate Zscaler SASE a six out of ten for scalability.

Zscaler SASE's deployment time depends upon your design, architecture, and infrastructure size. If you have a small network of offices, the deployment will take at least three to four days. But if you have a larger architecture, deployment time will depend upon your planning, staging, and implementation.

With Zscaler SASE, we can manage multiple features in a single platform. We can manage all allocations that we have in our architecture on a single platform. This reduces the operation cost and takes fewer resources to deploy because we have APIs in Zscaler SASE. API would be the simplest way to configure anything across our sites if we have a larger retail architecture.

ZPA is configured on our architecture, but ZIA's traffic goes to the Zscaler-hosted cloud.

Overall, I rate Zscaler SASE an eight out of ten.
