Makes tasks like network planning and performance monitoring much easier
I have experience with solutions from other vendors like Nokia, Huawei, and Tyson. The main pros of Symphony, in comparison, are the modules that provide a comprehensive overview and the automation features for planning data. These aspects are notably beneficial and stand out. On the downside, the major cons revolve around user customization. Unlike other vendors where you can create your reports and customize navigation, Symphony's user optimization in the SCAP module is limited. This lack of flexibility is a significant drawback, especially when compared to other solutions. Overall, while certain modules like those related to SolarWinds are straightforward and comparable, Symphony falls short in terms of user customization.

Pros

"The initial setup is very easy."
"One of the best features of Atlassian Confluence is that it integrates really well with Jira, and it's easy to use."
"Copying another page and providing an option to edit everything is valuable."
"This solution allowed us to easily input details beyond just text, such as creating basic data charts to monitor team performance."
"We value the way we can tag documentation to Jira because we can cross-reference a Jira ticket to a Confluence page, and we can also add a Confluence page to a Jira ticket."
"The most valuable features of Atlassian Confluence are its overall document editing and ease of use."
"It's easy to search for information."
"The entire product is good."
"I found the RAM Commander module in Symphony to be the most valuable."
"The solution is user-friendly, and it is very good security-wise."
"Symphony and Laravel are the most comfortable frameworks for any developer. It is also lightweight."
"The overall functions are good."

Cons

"We would like there to be more advanced data manipulation features available in this solution, such as creating more complex charts, and a column freezing option."
"The scalability for larger companies could be improved."
"It lacks ease of integration."
"When you are creating a table in Confluence, there is no tool to export it into Excel sheet for quick references. We can only export it as an a PDF file, but not into an editable file."
"The solution is not very user-friendly."
"Atlassian Confluence is not really a community-friendly solution."
"I have a couple of different pipelines that I work with. However, I'd like to see them displayed differently on the same dashboard. So, I would like to have a unified dashboard to view the different pipelines."
"They can improve the table feature of Confluence. It is currently not adequate."
"The area that needs to be improved is modular asset management. When we are uploading the assets in bulk, it is not aligned."
"To improve the situation, enhancing the functionality for integrating with other applications and addressing ticketing issues is crucial."
"The solution needs to improve CI."
"The solution is very expensive, and its pricing could be improved."
"Compared to established vendors, it lacks user flexibility and customization, especially in the PM module."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is neither cheap nor expensive, meaning its price falls somewhere in the mid-range zone."
"The issues I have with the pricing are in respect to the add-ons."
"This is a very expensive solution."
"There are some cases where you can go on Confluence as a public site without a license, but you will not have all of the features. You can also have a Confluence site that does not require a license just to read the articles. When you have Jira Service Management attached to Confluence, then you can go through the portal of Jira Service Management and read the Confluence articles without the license. This is good because when you are in an ITSM environment, you have many customers, and you do not want them to have to pay just to read articles. Regarding the use of the full features of Confluence, there is a license cost, and it depends on how many users you want."
"There is a license needed to use Atlassian Confluence."
"Confluence charges an extra fee for analytics."
"For us, it's free to use. We don't pay any licensing."
"We have to pay licensing fees."
"It is fairly an expensive product, but works for us."
"It's a costly product, but the number of available features justifies it."
"Symphony is expensive."
