Valuable Features

Lansweeper offers robust IT asset management, supports versatile platforms, and enhances decision-making through comprehensive insights and integration options.
Sometimes I see cost savings in excess of 40 to 60 percent, with resources also in the same percentage area, depending on what the use case is and how much work and preparation was put into actually designing it appropriately for the use of the tool.
Flexera includes what I call canned reports, straight out of the box, but they also offer flexibility in creating custom reports.
Senior Infrastructure Engineer at a healthcare company with 1,001-5,000 employees

Unified insights have cut cloud waste and now drive daily data‑driven decisions
Flexera One offers a very complex yet powerful platform that manages everything at once. I love that it particularly finds and lists all software, hardware, and cloud services in one place. It also allows me to manage my cloud bill by taking all data from different sources and cleaning it in a standard format. The feature that stands out most for me in my day-to-day work is the asset discovery and self-service user interface. The self-service user interface is straightforward and easy to use, providing a marketplace presence that helps automate post-provisioning and integration with ITSM. I would also add that the asset discovery capabilities provide good asset discovery functionalities, which allow data import from beacons and agents installed. This has been useful for many users in getting a comprehensive view of their assets across different clouds.

Significant asset management capabilities boost IT efficiency and support proactive monitoring
A positive aspect of Lansweeper is that they maintain a 30-minute recurring schedule with us for feedback. I have mentioned to the Lansweeper team that I would appreciate a clear separation between computers joined to our on-premise domain and those joined to the Microsoft Entra directory, as this distinction is currently difficult to make. In terms of reporting and knowledge, Lansweeper completely fulfills our needs. The software installation capability is being phased out as they now have the cloud version app, where this ability and Actions have been removed. My experience is primarily with Windows systems in Lansweeper, but it also supports Mac systems. We are currently adding Macs to scanning, though functionality is somewhat limited compared to Windows. It scans servers too, though this isn't the primary focus. Regarding network scanning, there are some security considerations due to specific service or port requirements on switches. For Windows needs in terms of asset management, report creation, and detailed information visibility, it is an excellent product. Building reports is straightforward, and while the database is quite extensive and may require research depending on needs, the information is readily available.
