Agile workflows have streamlined sprint planning and tracking for faster feature delivery
Jira has a very good interface and it is very easy to manage sprints, tasks, and epics. The main feature is the hierarchy, as features can be converted into epics and topics, allowing bigger tasks to be partitioned into smaller ones. The hierarchy feature in Jira helps the team significantly compared to other tools that have been used, such as Trello, which is mainly useful only for a waterfall model. For modern Agile practices, Jira is the most adapted tool in the industry. Another valuable feature is that Jira APIs have been used for data science projects to analyze tasks and get insights. This has also been very helpful in the project.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"But after JIRA provided us a feature to use it as test management we are managing all these very effectively."
"The biggest advantage Jira offers is flexibility because it's very flexible, and you can build your own workflows and make it work exactly the way your team needs and integrate it with almost every third-party software."
"Overall, I think it is a very useful tool for teams to be on track and to be on the same page."
"A most valuable feature involves the ability to customize the entries and to update them quickly."
"It helps me to use virtual Scrum boards across four locations, three time zones, and to plan my work. It fully supports the Scrum approach, and the Agile way of working, and it has Agile thinking behind it.."
"Jira is designed for issue tracking, making the process much easier than traditional methods like paper-based tracking. It is number one for agile management."
"It is very straightforward and easy to use."
"JIRA stores history of changes, which helps a lot to track who, when, and why the issue was modified."
"Zoho Sprints is stable with minimal downtime."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"Zoho Sprints is a defect-logging tool."
"Zoho Sprints can be integrated with other Zoho products, providing additional functionality."

Cons

"We'd like to use it with non-Agile projects in the future, however, right now, it is a very Agile-focused product."
"Some of the interfaces, especially on the administrator side and for permissions, are not so clear. They aren't very user-friendly."
"The reporting tool and the approval tool need work."
"A more organized hierarchy is important. Reporting and JQL create issues for me. They do not completely cover the reporting part that I need to report in terms of my capacity to plan. In the same token, there is no record at this very moment to provide me with one export with epics story points, tasks, or issues and their sub-tasks at the same time."
"The next-generation software projects lack a lot, and I found quite a few bugs. There are some really basic things that you still cannot do. For instance, to put a mandatory due date for a task that you create in one of these projects is still not available. That's a bit of a block because people, especially those who are not technical, are not going to add anything if it's not mandatory. It's going to be difficult to teach them that they should do it anyway."
"I have noticed a problem with Jira in the Philippines. In the Philippines, there are only a few companies that offer local support, which is alarming."
"The user interface could be improved from a user experience standpoint."
"Once the solution is deployed, it's not easy to configure."
"There is a need to improve the charts and velocity calculations in Zoho Sprints."
"There is a need to improve the charts and velocity calculations in Zoho Sprints."
"The interface of Zoho Sprints is an area with certain shortcomings."
"Zoho Sprints is a confusing tool, and you need to get used to it."

"We are using the enterprise license which is nice because it ensures that we always have the latest versions of Jira software."
"We are on an annual license to use Jira."
"I don't feel that price is an issue."
"I don't deal with licensing in my current consultant position."
"We had a perpetual license but have changed to a subscription."
"It is an affordable tool."
