Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

Easy setup and an a la carte pricing model
The solution needs a more modern interface. One of our biggest complaints is that we don't have the ability to dynamically push our interface to participants. Adobe Connect is an older technology, but it allows us to push our own layout and design to participants. One of the solution's strengths is that it's web-only but that is also a weakness. It is not a software solution but is browser-based which has its advantages and disadvantages. Zoom has become such a force that its ease of use surpasses ON24.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Microsoft Teams are scheduling a meeting and integration with other Microsoft services like SharePoint and OneDrive."
"You can easily integrate with other applications quite easily."
"What I like most about Microsoft Teams, is that we can pin applications on the top of the group."
"We can share all files on Microsoft Teams directly. It is integrated with Outlook."
"The integration of online jobs and documents is one of the most valuable aspects of the solution. The ability to integrate tasks and to assign tasks to certain people is great."
"The planner and the breakout rooms are good and helpful features in Microsoft Teams."
"The product is more convenient than taking a plane to Australia. Going to Australia can take around two days. The tool is much quicker. The video conferencing feature has improved our productivity."
"The product is very user-friendly."
"Friendly user interface and simple navigation."
"The solution works well with third-party integrations."
"In general, the solution provides a good experience, the user interface is friendly and from the user perspective, navigation was simple."

Cons

"The solution's interface probably needs to be a bit different in terms of cloud sharing."
"The UI can be further improved upon. When I used to use Skype, Skype was a small window that opened on your desktop. With Teams, when you use it, it occupies your full screen just like if you were in Word or Excel. Skype worked more like an app, which I preferred. I liked being able to use it in a minimized screen. If Teams could emulate that a bit, it would be a better user experience."
"The security needs improvement, as well as the ability to back up private chats."
"I didn't know that Teams is part of Office 365, so I think that it should be better advertised with its features and capabilities."
"In the next release, I would like to have the interface modernized and brought more up to date."
"In future releases, short voice messages would be useful."
"The solution should offer a way for people to virtually raise their hands in a meeting so that everyone can speak. There's a user voice for this already, but it would help if there was some sort of visual cue as well."
"The interface of the solution could use improvement."
"The solution needs a more modern interface."
"Bandwidth optimization could be increased."
"One thing that could be improved is that there is a 5,000 person limit."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a license for the solution."
"The tool's price is part of MS Office 365 and I would rate its pricing five out of ten. The tool's licensing costs are monthly."
"We don't have to pay for the solution."
"We get the solution on a corporate plan, where everything is included."
"The tool's price is high. We purchase Microsoft Office 365 on per user basis and we get support also on that basis."
"I would rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"It is moderately expensive than other Microsoft products."
"The solution is affordable."
"We paid $1,800 for five webinars, which is the standard fee. If you require support there is a $300 additional fee, extra attendees is an additional fee, integration is an additional fee, etc. All these extras could add on another $2,500 which was not in our budget."
