User interface very intuitive and easy to navigate, with great support
Pros and Cons
  • "I find HubSpot Marketing Hub's user interface very intuitive and easy to navigate, which is something I really appreciate."
  • "In terms of drawbacks, I've found that it lacks in-depth analytics and reporting features."

What is our primary use case?

We mainly use HubSpot Marketing Hub for creating email marketing campaigns, which it's pretty effective at. We've integrated HubSpot with IBM on the CRM side to gather client details from our R platform. In my previous company, we also integrated HubSpot with Salesforce for sales automation.

What is most valuable?

I find HubSpot Marketing Hub's user interface very intuitive and easy to navigate, which is something I really appreciate. Their support is also excellent, quickly resolving any issues we encounter. For email marketing, HubSpot has been crucial in reaching our targets by allowing us to create campaigns and outreach to prospects effectively. While I haven't used HubSpot Analytics recently, it was useful for basic insights and CRM management, although we primarily rely on other analytics tools for detailed campaign performance analysis.

What needs improvement?

In terms of drawbacks, I've found that HubSpot Marketing Hub lacks in-depth analytics and reporting features and managing contacts and lists can be confusing for new users. There is a need for better educational resources to help users navigate the platform more effectively. While HubSpot generally performs well in terms of automations and workflows, occasional technical issues can lead to server crashes or delays. There are limited hosting options for documents, which could be improved with clearer guidance for users.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using HubSpot Marketing Hub for the past 4 years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I find HubSpot Marketing Hub scalable especially for companies with around a hundred employees or sales teams.

How are customer service and support?

The support is good, but while they're quick to respond, I sometimes wish for more self-help resources to resolve issues independently.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I haven't used ZohoMAX extensively, but my experience with Zoho suggests it's more complex in terms of user experience compared to HubSpot. Finding things and setting up workflows is easier and cleaner in HubSpot.

How was the initial setup?

It was straightforward without any major issues. I haven't had to deal with complex integrations or API setups.

What about the implementation team?

Maintenance has been minimal, especially since we use the cloud version, so it's been smooth sailing overall.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Regarding pricing and licensing, I haven't directly handled it, but I assume Zoho might be cheaper. However, I would still prefer HubSpot due to its cleaner and more user-friendly interface.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend considering the size and nature of your team before choosing HubSpot Marketing Hub. It's ideal for b2b companies with traditional sales cycles and marketing automations, making it suitable for early growth and small to medium businesses.

Offers good scalability but need for additional levers or add-ons for more customized reach outs
Pros and Cons
  • "As a CRM tool, it looks good."
  • "Some customized reachouts might need additional levers or add-ons, especially when automating at scale for specific buying personas. That's when you might need some additional help, in my opinion."

What is our primary use case?

What needs improvement?

I'm looking at the provision of advanced hyper-personalization, automated Gen AI-based campaign script generation, and automation to reduce guesswork. Traditional products have gaps here, and I need enhancements for more focused targeting in messaging.

The output needs some adjustments for more tangible leads and targeted messaging. There are some gaps here, and this product needs improvement.

In future releases, I would like to see hyper-personalization and JMAI-based automation, such as generating automated scripts. For example, for campaign reachouts of other sales operations. Because the entire world is talking about AI. So, more automation and even further personalization.

For how long have I used the solution?

I'm fairly new to this product. So, it has been a couple of months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a stable solution. However, the output needs some adjustments for more tangible leads and targeted messaging.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

There are 20-odd end users using this solution in our enterprise. It is easy to scale because our requirements are slightly less at this time. But, as we try to scale it down the line, which is part of the plan. That's where the apprehensions are.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I'm looking to augment the lead generation mechanism and apply hyper-personalization. Some AI-based solutions are emerging, providing highly personalized buying persona information at one click. This interests me for the lead-to-opportunity cycle.

I checked out products that could be added to this existing platform. Therefore, we have yet to choose any specific product. It's all currently in progress.

What other advice do I have?

As a CRM tool, it looks good. In terms of overall packaging CRM, but for some customized reachouts, it might need additional levers or add-ons, especially when automating at scale for specific buying personas. That's when you might need some additional help, in my opinion.

Overall, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.

HubSpot CRM offers robust scalability and a user-friendly interface, making it a solid choice for growing businesses. Its core features are powerful and effective, but achieving highly customized outreach may require additional tools or add-ons. The platform excels in providing valuable insights and streamlining customer interactions. Overall, it delivers strong value for its cost, especially when tailored to specific business needs.

A comprehensive suite of marketing tools allowing organizations to streamline email marketing, automate workflows, and gain valuable insights to optimize their strategies
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable aspect for us is email marketing because it provides us with a powerful tool and allows us to create email workflows for follow-ups, which is crucial for building relationships with potential customers."
  • "There are issues with the consistency of notifications."

What is our primary use case?

Regarding SutterPack, we primarily use it for email marketing. We've integrated it with our website to gather insights about the traffic we receive, which allows us to monitor and analyze the website traffic as part of our marketing efforts.

How has it helped my organization?

It has streamlined our relationship management by enabling us to monitor interactions with target accounts and effectively track conversation progress. Our next objective is to incorporate automation for sales projections and deal forecasting in the near future.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable aspect for us is email marketing because it provides us with a powerful tool and allows us to create email workflows for follow-ups, which is crucial for building relationships with potential customers. The automation of initial contact and follow-up is especially beneficial, as we're targeting numerous accounts, and managing these manually can be quite laborious.

What needs improvement?

There are issues with the consistency of notifications. Despite configuring reminders, there are instances where I do not receive notifications as I should. I have integrated the system with my Outlook, with the expectation that notifications would align with the tasks I've created, but this reliability issue may require improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with it for a year now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It provides exceptional stability and I would rate it ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate its scalability capabilities nine out of ten. We have approximately seventy daily active users. Our plan for next year revolves around incorporating additional features, particularly focusing on the patient management aspect. With the increasing number of leads to manage on HubSpot, we are actively exploring more efficient methods to handle this without relying on manual processes.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup process is straightforward, thanks to their high school academy and YouTube videos. It was relatively easy to grasp how to configure it. I would rate it eight out of ten.

What was our ROI?

It is essential because it provides us with a structured platform to document and track our interactions with clients and partners. We have seen approximately seventy percent of ROI.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

At present, the pricing seems reasonable, but with our plans to scale, I anticipate that it could become a bit steep. The charges are currently billed on a monthly basis, which may result in significantly higher expenses. I would rate it six out of ten.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We considered the alternative of Microsoft 365, given our existing use of Microsoft products. However, the challenge we faced was that Microsoft 365 wasn't compatible with our region, preventing us from utilizing it. In addition, Salesforce was another option we explored, but it proved to be too costly for our budget.

What other advice do I have?

It is a valuable tool, especially if you want to harness marketing, automation, and analytics, while also seamlessly integrating your social media platforms, it offers an effective solution for these needs. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

A scalable tool with a lot of functionality and a helpful tech support team
Pros and Cons
  • "The biggest reason why I like this solution is the fact that it has so much functionality. It's all contained in one product, so you don't have to use multiple products."
  • "Years ago, these tools used to allow you to see the exact location of people that were clicking on things. I guess they quit doing it for privacy reasons, but that was very helpful information and I miss seeing it in those reports. I thought that this tool could do it when we left Act-On to go to HubSpot, but when we moved over they stopped doing it."

What is our primary use case?

My company uses this solution for managing social media and email blasts. We send out about 2.6 million emails a month utilizing this tool. We also use it to manage our contact list and monitor our website. We use it in a limited way for SEO, and we use some analysis features, reports, and A and B testing.

What is most valuable?

The biggest reason why I like this solution is the fact that it has so much functionality. It's all contained in one product, so you don't have to use multiple products.

What needs improvement?

Years ago, these tools used to allow you to see the exact location of people that were clicking on things. I guess they quit doing it for privacy reasons, but that was very helpful information and I miss seeing it in those reports. I thought that this tool could do it when we left Act-On to go to HubSpot, but when we moved over they stopped doing it.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used this solution for about four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability has been great and we haven't had any issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution can scale with no problem; it's just very expensive. One of the drawbacks to HubSpot is that it is a very pricey tool. Every time you expand, whether you want to expand contacts or add other modules and things, it's just very pricey. However, it's definitely scalable.

How are customer service and support?

The tech support team is very quick. They are pretty fast. When it comes to the answers, sometimes there is a little issue where they don't quite understand what we're looking for or asking about. There's been a couple of instances where we've had to go back and forth and actually get on a call and show them what we're trying to get their help with, but in general, they're very good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to using this solution, I used Act-On for several years. One of the main reasons we decided to switch was the social media functionality because we manage 22 social media sites, and we were using a lot of third-party tools. HubSpot offered the ability to integrate all of that, and track the website, webpages, and email. Plus, there were a couple of bits of functionality in HubSpot that Act-On didn't have, and the scalability into sales and other features that we could utilize should we wish to in the future. I almost have regrets about switching from Act-On to HubSpot because we did lose the location feature I mentioned earlier, but overall, it was good.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was pretty straightforward. The solution was pretty easy to put together and build out. Of course, there's always something new to learn with this tool because they're always tweaking different things, but I'd say that it is fairly easy to learn.

What about the implementation team?

Deployment took about 30 days from start to finish because we went back and forth on some things. We did have HubSpot help us, but once you've used a lot of these marketing platforms, they're pretty much the same in their basic functionality.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The platform itself will typically cost anywhere from $50,000 to $80,000 per year. I can't remember exactly what the user limit is, but you can have a certain amount of sales folks associated with it for tracking purposes and a certain amount of marketing admins.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to someone considering this solution would be to clean up all the data you have, your lists, and your contacts before importing them into HubSpot. Also, make sure you plan how you want things to be created in HubSpot and know what fields will be the most important to you for syncing up to your CRM. Finally, ensure that all the CRM and HubSpot fields are synced up correctly. I recommend ensuring the processes are in place before you implement HubSpot. Don't haphazardly try to set it up on the fly. It's just not a wise move, and it'll cause problems in the long run.

I would rate this solution as an eight out of ten because there's a couple of things that just aren't perfect, but it's a great tool.

What is our primary use case?

We use the tool for prospecting.

What is most valuable?

HubSpot Marketing Hub is efficient and offers visibility. It also helps to track leads. I like the tool's Gmail functionality.

What needs improvement?

The tool should improve email marketing solution. It is behind its competitors for bulk campaigns.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution since 2019.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

HubSpot Marketing Hub is scalable.

How was the initial setup?

What other advice do I have?

HubSpot is better than Salesforce for smaller startups and others in the funding phase. I rate it an eight out of ten.

Expensive, support could improve, but useful update alerts
Pros and Cons
  • "HubSpot Marketing Hub has kept me updated with alerts."
  • "There are some issues with HubSpot Marketing Hub with receiving notifications. It was too difficult to understand, and it requires a lot of effort. Configuration could be simplified."

What is our primary use case?

HubSpot Marketing Hub takes my newsletters and moves them. If somebody goes to my website and submits a request for a newsletter I receive an update.

What is most valuable?

HubSpot Marketing Hub has kept me updated with alerts.

What needs improvement?

There are some issues with HubSpot Marketing Hub with receiving notifications. It was too difficult to understand, and it requires a lot of effort. Configuration could be simplified.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used HubSpot Marketing Hub within the last 12 months.

How are customer service and support?

I have submitted a request for this HubSpot Marketing Hub problem that was happening, but I didn't get a response that solved the problem. The support didn't follow up with me.

They have dropped their service availability since 2017. I previously could meet people, talk to people, and have better access

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

When I was looking for a solution approximately five years ago there were not very many solutions on the market. In the current market, there are many better solutions available.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

HubSpot Marketing Hub provided me with the startup package with 90% off, but it's still hundreds of dollars a month instead of thousands of dollars a month. There is an additional cost for training and onboarding which is hundreds of dollars. It is expensive and should be reduced.

What other advice do I have?

I am most likely going to switch to a more professional solution, such as Salesforce. It's has been years since I've used this solution because of problems and the difficulty to use it.

I wouldn't recommend HubSpot Marketing Hub to someone else right now because it feels old and clunky compared to what's available now. I'd recommend others to go look at the market and purchase something that has a lower barrier of entry and has better support built-in. I would lean toward a growing company rather than an established company, such as HubSpot because they've become heavily corporate. It would be similar for me calling Microsoft for support on something, it can be a long process. However, Microsoft has improved over the years.

There are other solutions available now. For example, for a solution that has cost a thousand dollars a month with a 90% discount to make it a hundred dollars a month, and I am tied to the solution for years is not good. At a certain point, the price will increase back to approximately $10,000 a year. This is not a favorable proposition to be in. Other companies which don't have such a high-cost burden up-front, they're going to win my business, and that's where I moving to with my new website. Additionally, their marketing is not working.

I rate HubSpot Marketing Hub a five out of ten.

It does a good job of tracking and updating client records
Pros and Cons
  • "Marketing Hub does an incredible job of tracking and updating client records. The reporting has been enhanced, so you can do just about any type of reporting with it and export to Excel if necessary. They just came out with a considerable upgrade a few months ago, which really helped on the reporting side."
  • "They're not the cheapest."

What is our primary use case?

Marketing Hub manages all your contacts. You can create any type of static and or list for email blasts and outreach.

What is most valuable?

Marketing Hub does an incredible job of tracking and updating client records. The reporting has been enhanced, so you can do just about any type of reporting with it and export to Excel if necessary. They just came out with a considerable upgrade a few months ago, which really helped on the reporting side.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Marketing Hub is highly stable within the cloud. They also have a mobile app that mirrors the portal. They've done an incredible job of continuing to enhance the product.

Tech support is almost instant. They do a great job of customer and tech support.

How was the initial setup?

All the CRMs we work with are in the same range. They're not the most expensive, but they're not the cheapest. They have a free version for people to try, and they can start adding more features to it.

I rate Marketing Hub 10 out of 10. It's a solid platform that's straightforward to set up and extremely easy to use. They've done a fantastic job.
