Single sign-on has simplified access to cloud apps and reduced password reset workload
Pros and Cons
  • "From a user perspective, with the right amount of training and documentation, OneLogin by One Identity provides a very seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications."
  • "In terms of productivity, initially it was a challenge; people were not used to getting SMS messages on their phones, especially if it's not a company provided phone, and some people even complained that they didn't want to use their phone to get work-related SMS messages even if it's multi-factor authentication."

What is our primary use case?

The main use case for OneLogin by One Identity when I was using it at IQ was having one single user ID and one single password that gave me access to applications that were assigned to my profile.

Any cloud application is a use case for OneLogin by One Identity. Let me take the example of Salesforce. Salesforce uses your email as your user ID to log in, and sometimes your email has been used for another Salesforce instance, another Salesforce application, or another one you've used at a different company. Using OneLogin by One Identity, it had the SAML page that connected with Salesforce. OneLogin by One Identity had my user ID and password that was synced with Active Directory. If Salesforce was an assigned application, it would appear in my OneLogin by One Identity screen once I logged in, and I could just launch the application.

What is most valuable?

Based on my experience, some of the best features OneLogin by One Identity offers include built-in SAML pages that can be utilized by most cloud application providers. It also allows for a second login option directly to the SaaS application if you're using external contractors. OneLogin by One Identity didn't restrict that privilege, especially for support organizations, where you had an offshore support organization that needed one-time access to the application. You don't need to give them OneLogin by One Identity licenses or Active Directory accounts. You could have them use user ID and password to connect while your employees used OneLogin by One Identity. OneLogin by One Identity provided that additional security, which an application user ID and password could not provide. OneLogin by One Identity enforced multi-factor authentication, which wasn't enforced in many cloud applications.

OneLogin by One Identity has positively impacted my organization in that one big benefit was onboarding and offboarding. From an onboarding perspective, it was easier to train the user to have just one application to log into, which was OneLogin by One Identity. Offboarding was amazing. When a person left, I didn't have to search which applications they had access to. Once their Active Directory account was disabled and OneLogin by One Identity was disabled, they had access to none of the company's confidential applications and data.

What needs improvement?

The multi-factor authentication did improve security. In terms of productivity, initially it was a challenge. People were not used to getting SMS messages on their phones, especially if it's not a company provided phone. Some people even complained that they didn't want to use their phone to get work-related SMS messages even if it's multi-factor authentication. It didn't provide smoothness or ease in operations to begin with. Eventually, it helped because users did not have to remember so many user IDs and passwords. It was only one user ID and password for OneLogin by One Identity. So we had fewer trouble tickets and service requests and challenges with password resets and other issues. Eventually, user satisfaction was improved.

The only thing I find confusing, regardless of OneLogin by One Identity or other applications, is the reliance on Microsoft Authenticator and there are too many MFA applications. If OneLogin by One Identity could centralize and have one application such as Microsoft Authenticator or any other application, even if it was a biometric that supported OneLogin by One Identity multi-factor authentication, that would help because it's sometimes difficult having so many MFA authenticator applications to manage.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for probably thirty years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin by One Identity is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We scaled OneLogin by One Identity globally, so it is very scalable.

How are customer service and support?

There is room for improvement regarding customer support for OneLogin by One Identity.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We didn't have an IAM solution before using OneLogin by One Identity.

How was the initial setup?

OneLogin by One Identity was initially deployed on-premises and then we moved it to a private cloud.

What about the implementation team?

We used AWS for our private cloud deployment of OneLogin by One Identity.

What was our ROI?

I can definitely mention that I don't have the metrics, but I can share that from a service desk perspective, the number of password reset calls reduced. As the calls reduced for password resets, which was the highest number of calls before OneLogin by One Identity, we could optimize our service desk employees and repurpose the ones that were needed for project work.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I did not purchase OneLogin by One Identity through the AWS Marketplace. It was directly through a OneLogin by One Identity reseller or through the direct company, but not through the marketplace.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing OneLogin by One Identity, Okta was the only option we looked at.

What other advice do I have?

I would ask anyone looking into using OneLogin by One Identity to take a phased approach, either going by region in a multi-company organization or by company because sometimes you have small integration issues to resolve, especially with cloud applications and rules. Make sure that you resolve that with a smaller impacted population rather than implementing something globally in a large scale and then having bigger problems to deal with.

I rate OneLogin by One Identity a nine on a scale of one to ten. I choose nine for my rating of OneLogin by One Identity because I believe even the best of us have an opportunity to improve. We can never be a ten, or we should not be a ten. We should always aspire to improve.

Regarding OneLogin by One Identity's AI capabilities, my impression of its governance and security is excellent. My impression of its accuracy and reliability of output is also excellent.

We reviewed SmartFactor Authentication for OneLogin by One Identity, but had not implemented it while I was at IQ.

My impression of the User Identity Synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin by One Identity is that it is very strong, actually in most single sign-on providers.

The integration of phishing-resistant device trust on my authentication processes is that I don't want to mix the two together. OneLogin by One Identity is, to me, a case where phishing should be managed through other services rather than OneLogin by One Identity. OneLogin by One Identity is, in my mind, an identity and access management solution. It's not an email security management solution.

From a user perspective, with the right amount of training and documentation, OneLogin by One Identity provides a very seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications. They're simply logging into an application like Citrix in the good old days, and once you get into the MetaFrame, you launch your app. OneLogin by One Identity is the same. Once you log into OneLogin by One Identity, you have all your apps in a single form or single page.

I wasn't involved in the decision-making for pricing, setup cost, and licensing for OneLogin by One Identity.

Centralized access has simplified single sign-on and strengthened adaptive MFA for all users
Pros and Cons
  • "OneLogin has improved user access management, simplified the login experience for employees, and strengthened MFA enforcement across cloud applications without adding too much administrative overhead."
  • "The reporting and the dashboard customization could be more flexible, and troubleshooting federation or integration issues can sometimes take more effort than expected."

What is our primary use case?

I mainly use OneLogin for single sign-on, MFA enforcement, and centralized user access management across SaaS applications.

I use OneLogin to give employees one secure login for applications like Microsoft 365, Atlassian, and internal SaaS tools, while enforcing MFA policies based on user roles and access location.

I use OneLogin as a cloud-based IAM platform integrated with both on-premises and cloud applications in a hybrid environment.

What is most valuable?

OneLogin made a difference for me during remote work expansion because it centralized authentication and MFA policies across cloud apps without adding too much complexity for users.

The best features for me are the single sign-on experience and its ability to offer centralized access management for a large number of pre-integrated SaaS applications. SmartFactor adaptive authentication feature is especially useful because it adjusts security requirements based on logic, risk, and user behavior.

SmartFactor has worked well because it adds extra verification only when login behavior looks risky. Users are not constantly dealing with MFA prompts during normal day-to-day access.

The integration library is definitely one of the strongest parts of the platform.

OneLogin has improved user access management, simplified the login experience for employees, and strengthened MFA enforcement across cloud applications without adding too much administrative overhead.

Onboarding and application access provisioning are much faster now, and I have also reduced password-related support tickets because users can access most applications through a single login portal.

Identity synchronization works well overall and helps keep user accounts, groups, and access permissions consistent across connected directories and cloud applications with minimal manual effort.

The adaptive login feature with Vigilance AI has been useful for identifying unusual login patterns and automatically applying stronger authentication when the risk level increases.

Enforcing MFA at the desktop level has strengthened endpoint security significantly because users still need strong authentication even when devices are offline. This helps reduce the risk of unauthorized local access.

What needs improvement?

More granular reporting and customization options would make administration even better.

The reporting and the dashboard customization could be more flexible, and troubleshooting federation or integration issues can sometimes take more effort than expected.

The UI is very easy to use, but some admin sections feel a bit outdated, and more detailed troubleshooting documentation would help during complex integrations.

There is still room for improvement in reporting, advanced customization, and some administrative workflows.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

OneLogin scales well for enterprise environments, especially for organizations managing a large number of users and cloud applications. The centralized SaaS integration modules make expansion fairly straightforward.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is excellent.

I would rate the customer support a nine on a scale of one to ten.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I mainly used native application logins and some Microsoft ADFS services, but I switched to get simpler cloud-based SSO, stronger MFA capabilities, and easier SaaS integration management.

How was the initial setup?

The setup was relatively straightforward for the standard SSO deployments, although more advanced integration and policies required additional planning and configuration effort.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a good ROI mainly through reduced password-related support tickets, faster onboarding, and less time spent managing user access across multiple SaaS applications. The centralized SSO and MFA management also reduced a lot of repetitive admin work for the IT team.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is competitive compared to other enterprise IAM platforms.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Ping Identity before choosing OneLogin.

What other advice do I have?

I advise others looking into using OneLogin to plan your application integrations and MFA policies carefully from the beginning because OneLogin works best when access management and authentication workflows are standardized early on. I would rate this review a nine on a scale of one to ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Hybrid Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Automated onboarding and secure MFA access have transformed our workforce identity management
Pros and Cons
  • "There is a good return on investment because we achieve our onboarding, offboarding, auditing requirements, and MFA requirements in less time."

What is our primary use case?

Our main use case for OneLogin is for employee onboarding, employee offboarding, remote work, and multifactor authentication enforcement. For the security team, compliance and auditing are also part of our use case, and we are using all these features.

For example, a new hire gets access to all their tools while joining the company, and it automatically grants their access based on their roles. This is automated with the help of OneLogin. Moreover, with the help of this tool, the security team can see exactly who accessed what and at what time, so we can get this data from the centralized OneLogin dashboard.

HR-driven identity management plays a crucial role in streamlining employee identity handling in our organization, as we have different departments and multiple employees in each department. Access to applications for a particular user is managed through OneLogin.

How has it helped my organization?

OneLogin has saved time for both our employees and our IT team. We have fewer tickets, and in less time, we see more productivity. Indirectly, money is being saved for the organization.

It has improved productivity because users do not have to worry about authentication or multifactor authentication for their onboarding while joining the company. This process is getting faster with the use of the solution.

    What is most valuable?

The best features OneLogin offers are usability, which is very simple for the end-users, and its auto-provisioning feature that syncs with HR tools whenever a new employee is getting onboarded or offboarded. All the autogrant access or revoke access is getting automated, and these are the key features that we are benefiting from the solution.

The auto-provisioning feature of OneLogin makes things easier for the IT team because we do not have to spend a lot of time on onboarding or offboarding employees.

OneLogin provides compliance and auditing for the audit team, as well as auto-provisioning and multifactor authentication, which are the key features.

OneLogin has Smart Factor Authentication as a native feature with an MFA engine powered by machine learning tools, so usability is good.

The user identity synchronization across directories functionality is smooth.

The authentication method for phishing-resistant authentication is something I appreciate.

The seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is good, and we are getting a good response from our end-users during the authentication process, so there is no issue.

The adaptive login flows with Vigilance AI checks real-time analysis and user behavior, and if any malicious activity is detected, it blocks access. That is the use case of Vigilance AI.

    What needs improvement?

I do not see any feature that is not offered by OneLogin, so everything is perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the setup complexity, which can sometimes be a little difficult for initial configuration or customized policy, so this can be simplified.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for more than three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    OneLogin is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of OneLogin is excellent.

How are customer service and support?

OneLogin provides excellent support regarding the technical aspects. I would rate the customer support nine out of ten.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Since the beginning, we have been using OneLogin exclusively.

    What was our ROI?

There is a good return on investment because we achieve our onboarding, offboarding, auditing requirements, and MFA requirements in less time. Both time and money are being saved for the organization.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing has been straightforward with the sales team. There is no issue regarding these aspects.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have not evaluated other options before choosing OneLogin.

What other advice do I have?

I highly recommend OneLogin to other organizations. If a company is looking for this type of solution, they can consider it one of the best solutions in the market.

I selected nine out of ten because I think there is room for future enhancement of the solution, as more features can be added. However, nine reflects my view that it is the best solution for our environment.

OneLogin is a SaaS-based solution, so it is deployed in a cloud-based environment. My overall rating for this review is nine out of ten.

Centralized access has strengthened security with adaptive authentication and smoother user logins
    Pros and Cons
    • "Using OneLogin, I have noticed an increase in the security posture of my organization, enforcing MFA across VPN, firewall, and cloud apps while centralizing authentication."
    • "Overall, OneLogin is solid, but we can implement some improvements with Active Directory connectors."

What is our primary use case?

I typically use OneLogin for single sign-on and multifactor authentication. I use OneLogin to provide single sign-on access to my users for multiple apps in my day-to-day work.

We basically rely on SSO and MFA with OneLogin. Most of our team connects OneLogin with Active Directory and HR SSO, so new joiners automatically get access to the required apps, and role changes update permissions instead.

    What is most valuable?

OneLogin's best features in my experience are the one login SSO and its integration with Active Directory. The integration between Active Directory and OneLogin is quite stable and functions in a real environment in a completely plug and play manner, making it easy to manage.

Using OneLogin, I have noticed an increase in the security posture of my organization, enforcing MFA across VPN, firewall, and cloud apps while centralizing authentication. Smart Factor Authentication is a strong feature when implemented properly as it adapts risk-based authentication, allows access while triggering MFA for security purposes, and blocks suspicious logins automatically.

My impression of the user identity synchronization across directories functionality is that it is definitely one of its strong capabilities, and synchronization between Active Directory and cloud directory is stable. It especially provides centralized identity across apps, which is useful when managing multiple systems, VPNs, and firewalls.

The integration of phishing-resistant device trust provides strong protection against phishing by detecting device-bound authentication and checking certificate trusted devices, ensuring that attackers cannot log in without the trusted device. In my experience, the user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications with OneLogin is generally very smooth as users log in once and access all the apps through a single portal.

We use adaptive login flows with AI in OneLogin, which typically has a meaningful impact on both threat detection and dynamic authentication control.

    What needs improvement?

Overall, OneLogin is solid, but we can implement some improvements with Active Directory connectors. I believe there is a need for flexibility, better dashboards, and more proactive alerts.

Additional improvements needed for OneLogin include real-time visibility into impact and improvement, more details, a real-time status dashboard, and tenant-specific impact.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for one and a half years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin is more stable than other solutions.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

OneLogin is generally considered highly scalable, especially for organizational growth and large enterprises. It has strong technical capabilities designed to be horizontally scalable, easily supporting a large user base without the need for manual infrastructure upgrades.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is really good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before using OneLogin, we used Cisco Duo. We decided to switch from Cisco Duo to OneLogin because we faced issues on iPhone devices with Cisco Duo, which worked fine on Android devices but had issues on iPhone and Mac devices.

    How was the initial setup?

I have seen a good return on investment because it is beneficial for the organization and the setup is very easy, quick, and straightforward.

    What about the implementation team?

We are the reseller for this vendor.

    What was our ROI?

I measured the improvement in my security posture by reducing manual work.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The setup and licensing cost for OneLogin depends on the per-user cost.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing OneLogin, I took a demo of Okta.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using OneLogin is that it is a good product. I recommend trying it once and seeing the results as it is really a good solution for multifactor authentication and single sign-on. I gave this review a rating of 9.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Centralized logins have improved security and support quick compliance-ready authentication
    Pros and Cons
    • "The single sign-on feature of OneLogin by One Identity is amazing."
    • "What I dislike about OneLogin by One Identity is that there have been some instances where the team experienced server issues while trying to log in."

What is our primary use case?

I use OneLogin by One Identity for all logins, centralizing login access and adding more security to the system.

    What is most valuable?

What I appreciate most about OneLogin by One Identity is that both single sign-on and multi-factor authentication help bring more security, which assists with compliance requirements.

The Smart Factor Authentication of OneLogin by One Identity stands out to me because it supports adjusting authentication flows in real time depending on the risk score associated with the login attempt. We check the servers and login attempts, then use Smart Factor Authentication to prevent unauthorized access when we detect potential risks.

OneLogin by One Identity provides a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications that is very quick and brings usability while maintaining security at the same time.

The single sign-on feature of OneLogin by One Identity is amazing. We compared this feature specifically while we were piloting, and comparatively, this is better than other players in the market. I know about Ping Identity and Okta, but we chose OneLogin by One Identity.

    What needs improvement?

What I dislike about OneLogin by One Identity is that there have been some instances where the team experienced server issues while trying to log in. Users were unable to log in and had to redo the process. The server issues caused the system to keep loading, forcing users to go back and try again.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin by One Identity for approximately 11 months to one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin by One Identity experiences certain downtimes, but the server issues I mentioned are the only stability concerns. Other than that, it is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

OneLogin by One Identity is highly scalable and can be scaled multifold at any time.

How are customer service and support?

I have not contacted the technical support or customer support for OneLogin by One Identity directly, nor have I interacted with them. However, I have seen some emails from their support team, and they appear to be good. We discuss support internally, and we are satisfied with it.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have worked with Ping Identity as an alternative to OneLogin by One Identity in my previous organization. In my current organization, we were trying Okta.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial deployment of OneLogin by One Identity was acceptable. It was neither easy nor difficult, but it was doable. It took approximately four weeks to fully set up OneLogin by One Identity, completing all training for the team.

    What about the implementation team?

For the deployment of OneLogin by One Identity, we had a dedicated team that divided KRAs accordingly. The initial pilot and training team consisted of four members.

    What was our ROI?

After the deployment of OneLogin by One Identity, it does require maintenance on our end. Two staff members maintain the system because employees do face issues and need to flag them. Although this reduced the login issues and tickets that came in initially, the IT support team, specifically two people, work on this alongside other software to solve issues related to logins.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

OneLogin by One Identity is way cheaper than Okta, which is all I know to compare. Cost was one of the reasons we went ahead with this solution. We initially ran a free trial pilot, which worked out for our team, and then we purchased licenses.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

If I compare OneLogin by One Identity with Okta, OneLogin by One Identity is way better. The server issues we faced with Okta are not present with OneLogin by One Identity. Licensing-wise, OneLogin by One Identity is cheaper, which helps significantly.

What other advice do I have?

I am aware of the adaptive login flows with Vigilance AI in OneLogin by One Identity, but I do not have any feedback or thoughts on that at this time. My overall review rating for OneLogin by One Identity is 8 out of 10.

Centralized access has strengthened authentication with seamless sign-on and smart risk-based MFA
    Pros and Cons
    • "OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is pretty good."
    • "Customer support is also good, but it is slow."

What is our primary use case?

I have been testing OneLogin for about six months. Single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and user lifecycle management are my main use cases for OneLogin, and these are the things I have been testing with it. I have an application which I wanted to integrate with OneLogin for user lifecycle management. I want to provision my users to it and provide single sign-on to that application. When signing into that application, I also want it to integrate multi-factor authentication with it. These are the basic examples that I tried with OneLogin.

    What is most valuable?

Single sign-on works reliably with OneLogin, and SCIM provisioning is also strong in OneLogin. Additionally, directory integrations are solid with OneLogin. OneLogin has more apps to integrate with, providing a great catalog. Smart Factor Authentication is a really worth mentioning feature that I appreciate.

OneLogin's app catalog already has pre-existing connectors, which reduces the normal effort to create a custom one. Regarding Smart Factor Authentication, it reduces multi-factor authentication friction. Multi-factor authentication is only prompted when the risk score is calculated as high, and Smart Factor Authentication decides this. These features are what I appreciate.

Smart Factor Authentication is something and the best feature I have implemented with this. It allows organizations, if implemented on a large scale, to provide better authentication when the risk is high by prompting the user for multi-factor authentication, which reduces entity risk. This is something that has an impact.

When integrating Smart Factor Authentication, in a normal scenario, if a user is not a desk risk, then the usual authentication process will be followed. More multi-factor authentication fatigue will not be asked for that user, which reduces the friction for that user to log in and access the applications. Multi-factor authentication is enabled only when the risk factor of that user is high, then I ask the user about multi-factor authentication so that I can confirm that the user is genuine. With that, I can improve the security layer in any organization that uses OneLogin.

OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is pretty good. The experience is very seamless in authenticating with the application using OneLogin.

    What needs improvement?

OneLogin's online documentation could be improved with more information and clearer step-by-step instructions, which would help beginners understand these things better. OneLogin's APIs are limited regarding what can be done with the exposed APIs, and any SAML integration or custom SAML integration in any of the identity and access management platforms takes manual effort, which is something OneLogin could improve.

In custom SAML integration, I cannot improve anything. OneLogin could improve some user interface elements which would make users feel more comfortable integrating a custom solution.

Regarding artificial intelligence capabilities in OneLogin, that area still needs to be improved because the artificial intelligence developments in the security industry are not fully developed within OneLogin's capabilities.

More improvements are needed, specifically regarding APIs and user interface, but the remaining features are already good.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for almost two and a half to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    OneLogin is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

OneLogin's scalability is pretty good. It can work with large-scale users and applications, and in consideration of scalability, I would rate it an eight.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is also good, but it is slow. If I have an issue, the resolution will be taken and support will be given, but it is not really quick.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not switch to OneLogin. I have used many solutions previously. Comparatively, OneLogin is also one of the good ones.

    How was the initial setup?

I did not actually implement OneLogin. I tested it on my local machine. OneLogin was tested on my local machine, and for the test one, it is on the cloud.

    What about the implementation team?

I am using some setup that is given and generated by OneLogin tenant, though I did not go through the deployment setup myself.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I did not go through that phase yet because I did not actually take the license. As far as I know about the license, I have seen them, and it is pretty much acceptable for the solutions and features that OneLogin is providing.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have evaluated other options like Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Ping Identity as alternatives.

What other advice do I have?

This is a great feature, and how I balance this is something which is significant. When the integration of phishing-resistant device trust is not secure, I stop the authentication at that point and do not continue or give the session.

OneLogin does not have any human resources-driven identity management. As far as I configured it, I did not use any human resources system to get the users from. I used Active Directory integration. With Active Directory, the directory integrations are smooth. My organization may have human resources applications, but I have not tested them with OneLogin.

Time-saving reduces the payments along with the licensing cost for the applications that I use. I have less knowledge in this area regarding pricing and return on investment, because I would have to implement it to truly understand. Plan my policies and users, groups, and other things accordingly so that I get the best out of it.

OneLogin is a cool product for organizations to use for security. I would rate this review an eight overall.

Centralized identity has reduced manual access work and now automates secure user lifecycle management
    Pros and Cons
    • "The outcomes since adopting OneLogin are very positive, saving our time with a reduced workload by 30 to 40 percent, and user provisioning, including onboarding or off-boarding, has become very fast by 60 to 80 percent."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for OneLogin is that we use this solution as our centralized identity provider to maintain and manage authentication, authorization, and secure access to both cloud and on-premises applications.

      What is most valuable?

OneLogin offers several best features such as federated single sign-on, risk-based authentication, automated user provisioning, and the most important, centralized access governance.

I mostly rely on automated user lifecycle management within OneLogin, as it automatically provisions and de-provisions users' accounts, helping our nation improve security and reduce the manual work of the administrator.

OneLogin has positively impacted my organization in several ways, as it has really improved both security and user productivity, allowing employees to securely access multiple applications with the help of single sign-on, which has significantly reduced password-related issues.

The outcomes since adopting OneLogin are very positive, saving our time with a reduced workload by 30 to 40 percent, and user provisioning, including onboarding or off-boarding, has become very fast by 60 to 80 percent.

      What needs improvement?

Based on my experience, the only improvement needed for OneLogin is customization of the dashboard; apart from this, all the features are very useful and scalable.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for almost two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

OneLogin is a very stable solution.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I believe OneLogin is a scalable solution.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for OneLogin has been very good and responsive; they are knowledgeable and able to troubleshoot effectively.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have not switched from a different solution; we have been using OneLogin since the beginning.

      How was the initial setup?

My advice for organizations considering OneLogin is to start with a clear identity and access management strategy before deployment. They should take time to understand their applications, user groups, and access policies, enabling all necessary features including MFA or single sign-on and leveraging automated provisioning and de-provisioning to reduce administrative workload.

      What about the implementation team?

We have a partnership with the vendor, and it goes beyond being just a customer.

      What was our ROI?

I must say we have seen a great return on investment, with saved time and money, as the automation features have significantly improved our user provisioning and de-provisioning processes.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for OneLogin are managed by our management team, not by us.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have not evaluated other options apart from OneLogin.

What other advice do I have?

Regarding OneLogin's AI capabilities, I think its governance and security are supported by strong AI-driven and adaptive security capabilities, centralized identity management, role-based access control, and MFA with detailed auto audit logging. OneLogin provides accurate and reliable AI output, particularly when assessing login risk based on user behavior and device information, effectively identifying potential suspicious authentication attempts.

We do use OneLogin's SmartFactor Authentication for balancing security and usability, and when a user logs in from a trusted device and known location, they are granted seamless access; however, if the login is from an unfamiliar device or location, it is flagged as a potential threat and requires additional authentication.

My impression of the user identity synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is very smooth, as users are synchronized from the directory and group across our directory services and connected applications seamlessly.

The impact of integrating phishing-resistant device trust on our authentication processes is that it has strengthened our applications and authentication by ensuring only trusted devices can access them, significantly reducing the risk of credential theft.

My impression of OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is very positive, as it offers a smooth, user-friendly authentication experience.

We do use adaptive login flows with Vigilance AI, which have proven very effective in improving our ability to detect and respond to risky authentication attempts. I would rate this review a 9 out of 10.

Single sign-on has unified multi-directory access and protects logins with adaptive authentication
      Pros and Cons
      • "My impression of OneLogin providing a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating is positive because I never had any issues or glitches."
      • "The areas that do have room for improvement include a learning curve."

What is our primary use case?

OneLogin by One Identity serves the purpose of SSO, which we used in partnership with Kaseya. I forgot the original name of the program, but we used it because it stored all of our devices and client information. This allowed us to avoid having anyone share passwords.

I used SmartFactor Authentication to adjust the flow in real time depending on the risk score associated with login attempts. My phone functioned almost as a key. I appreciated the ability to get access codes, which was particularly useful when I was away from my computer and needed to access the system through the client portal using codes generated specifically for me.

The integration of phishing-resistant device trust makes the authentication processes stronger and safer because of the complexity it uses. It relies solely on your data, which makes it harder for someone to hack into because it used multiple layers of authentication through one portal.

With the SSO feature, it was easy to integrate with third-party authentication providers.

      What is most valuable?

The best features of OneLogin include the ability to save passwords so I could have access to them, and it would create complicated passwords for me. This saved me from having to remember a lot of passwords and gave me a safe place to store them. It made logging into whatever system I needed easy, and I could retrieve data quickly while keeping the flow of my process moving.

It simplifies a lot because even though we were an MSP, we had one primary directory that we used, but we also used a secondary directory. Google was used primarily for single sign-ins to our email accounts, but we also had Microsoft sign-ins. Using OneLogin simplified that completely. We did not have to worry about trying to use different passwords or usernames to get into accounts on either directory. We could just sign in and have access to everything.

      What needs improvement?

OneLogin already has flexibility and can be customized to whatever the user wants, so I am not entirely certain how to address areas for improvement in that regard.

The areas that do have room for improvement include a learning curve. I did not have any issues learning the software myself. Frequent training updates on product releases would be beneficial. This could include self-paced or scheduled options for learning about new features instead of having to figure them out independently.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used OneLogin by One Identity for two years at my previous employer.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Regarding stability, I would not say there are downtime, bugs, or glitches. I did not have any of my clients report any issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

OneLogin is absolutely a scalable solution.

How are customer service and support?

I would rate the vendor support that One Identity provides a ten out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

      Positive

      How was the initial setup?

The deployment of OneLogin is extremely easy. Once you send it to the machine and give the user their credentials to sign up and set everything up, they are ready to go.

      What about the implementation team?

Our relationship with the vendor was that we were an MSP.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

With OneLogin, I am not aware of the pricing because I was not exposed to that information. Even for the clients that we recommended it to, they received a discounted price based on how many users they were signing up. I could not give an honest answer regarding the setup costs.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

In comparison with other solutions or vendors on the market, OneLogin is one of my favorite ones. With me, it ranks right up there with Microsoft and Google because many companies are using them to streamline their device logins and use them as a one-stop shop for single sign-on for everything.

What other advice do I have?

My impression of OneLogin providing a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating is positive because I never had any issues or glitches. Even when we were learning how to use the software, it was straightforward and extremely simple. Programming it for clients was the same. OneLogin was one of the SSOs that I would recommend because it was the easiest to use.

Deployment would take, on average, hours depending upon how many we were deploying to. However, it was typically hours at most, depending upon other software because we would just put it in our software stack, and when deploying the software out to the computers to set up, it would just be part of that package.

We had a team of two hundred specialists working with OneLogin.

Our clients varied in size, with many of them having employees between two hundred fifty to five hundred, and then some on the smaller side with a team of fifty.

OneLogin does require some maintenance, including updates, upkeeping, and patching to ensure there are no glitches since people are constantly trying to find ways to get in or duplicate access. We did constantly monitor, patch, and update as part of our routine for our clients so they would not have to worry about it.

It is easy to maintain OneLogin. We never had any issues where patches or other updates did not take or caused more issues for the client.

We have not fully used the adaptive login flows with Vigilance AI, as I think some clients were not comfortable using that feature. We are testing it and pushing for them to do it, but we have not gotten them to do it as of yet. They still prefer to rely on the tried and true method.

We do not have HR-driven identity management with OneLogin. The HR team is separate, so I am not quite sure what software they use for that purpose.

My advice for others looking to implement OneLogin is that I would definitely recommend it, especially if they are looking for a simplified way of integrating and creating a single sign-on. I give this solution an overall rating of ten out of ten.

Single sign-on has simplified secure access and reduces password resets across our apps
      Pros and Cons
      • "OneLogin has impacted my organization positively by reducing costs as well as increasing efficiency."
      • "OneLogin needs to improve as sometimes there are glitches in the software."

What is our primary use case?

OneLogin is used for secure login and helps manage the difficulties faced while logging in by providing a better solution for one-click login. It is most efficient with single sign-on functionality.

OneLogin is used to sign in on different apps and platforms without requiring password entry repeatedly. Single sign-on functionality allows integration with Salesforce and other third-party applications, making OneLogin very efficient and secure.

The main use case is single sign-on and security for login credentials.

      What is most valuable?

OneLogin offers flexibility and easy-to-use functionality with straightforward features.

Password vaulting and one-click termination to provide authorized access from government accounts are features that make OneLogin easy to use for my team. These features make it easy to use for my teammates as well.

Strong authentication is a quite underrated but very beneficial feature, as it provides very strong authentication whenever signing in on any website, which improves security. This is one robust feature of OneLogin.

OneLogin has impacted my organization positively by being simpler to use than other alternatives.

OneLogin has impacted my organization positively by reducing costs as well as increasing efficiency.

Fewer password reset requests is one measurable result that has happened after starting to use OneLogin, with significantly fewer password reset requests occurring.

Enforcing multi-factor authentication at the desktop level has positively impacted my organization.

      What needs improvement?

OneLogin needs to improve as sometimes there are glitches in the software. When integrated with Salesforce, sometimes glitches and errors occur when trying to login through OneLogin. Compatibility with third-party software needs to be improved, and customer care needs to be more efficient and responsive.

The two major pain points are customer support needing improvement and the integration with third-party software needing to be more flexible.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for the last one year.

What other advice do I have?

OneLogin was deployed using public cloud with AWS as the cloud provider.

OneLogin was purchased through AWS Marketplace.

The user identity synchronization across directories functionality is very good, as user identity is mapped across different third-party software, increasing workflow and making it more manageable and fluid.

The seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating is very good when logging in using OneLogin, providing a seamless experience and quite good user experience.

Vigilance AI has not been used yet, but my organization is working on it and will surely implement it in the coming few months.

I am not very familiar with the HR functions, so I do not have any knowledge about these features.

My overall review rating for OneLogin is 9 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

      Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Centralized access has simplified banking workflows and now improves HR and IT efficiency
      Pros and Cons
      • "Since implementing OneLogin, the HR and IT teams save a significant amount of time, completing projects in one day that used to take one to two days."
      • "Regarding OneLogin's improvement, I would suggest making the interface more user-friendly and enhancing security features through implementing DLP."

What is our primary use case?

In the banking sector, we face issues from the different products used, so after trying OneLogin, the customer is very satisfied with the support and how things are working with them; it is easy to use with a user-friendly interface.

In banking sector projects, I see good features in OneLogin, such as deploying with firewalls and Cisco switches, which our previous product could not do, making this a significant advantage.

OneLogin is deployed in my organization using a public cloud only, AWS.

      What is most valuable?

OneLogin creates an easy environment for me where I do not have to remember each and every user's password all the time, as we can use a single password for multiple applications and it syncs with AD.

OneLogin's best features, in my experience, include its ability to sync up with multiple products such as firewalls, switches, and servers, enhancing password security.

After implementing OneLogin, my daily workflow improves since I no longer need to save passwords in Excel; OneLogin provides mail with usernames and passwords automatically.

OneLogin positively impacts my organization, making the work of HR and IT teams much easier by streamlining user data management and authentication methods.

Since implementing OneLogin, the HR and IT teams save a significant amount of time, completing projects in one day that used to take one to two days.

      What needs improvement?

Regarding OneLogin's improvement, I would suggest making the interface more user-friendly and enhancing security features through implementing DLP.

Regarding needed improvements for OneLogin, I believe adding product details for sync capabilities with third-party products would allow for easier pitching to customers.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using OneLogin for the past one to two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my experience, OneLogin is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of OneLogin is very good.

How are customer service and support?

My experience with customer support has been very good.

I would rate customer support a nine.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used a cross-identity management solution for authentication, but switched to OneLogin due to many glitches and delays in the former solution.

      How was the initial setup?

The integration of phishing-resistant device trust enhances our authentication processes with a two-layer security factor via WAF and OneLogin.

The user experience for signing in and authenticating with OneLogin is very useful, as users can easily access what they need without facing issues.

The user identity synchronization across directories in OneLogin takes a bit of time initially, but once synchronized, it works amazingly.

      What about the implementation team?

We have a business relationship with this vendor as we are a reseller.

      What was our ROI?

There has been a return on investment since implementing OneLogin, particularly in saved time and reduced stress for IT staff, especially those working remotely.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for OneLogin are high, requiring more technically knowledgeable persons for implementation.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated other options such as Cisco ISE and Zscaler before choosing OneLogin, running demos with these two products.

What other advice do I have?

I rate OneLogin a nine on a scale of one to ten.

I give it a nine because a few improvements are still needed, but I appreciate the features OneLogin provides.

For those considering OneLogin, I recommend it for banking and BFSI sectors or small businesses facing issues, as it offers features that competitors such as Zscaler and Cisco ISE do not support.

I believe providing on-premises boxes for trial purposes would be helpful for small businesses to test the product.

SmartFactor Authentication impresses me with its ability to balance security and usability effectively.

I have assessed SmartFactor Authentication and found it advantageous.
