What is our primary use case?
Clients can use ManageEngine OpManager for monitoring their network devices inside the organization.
The customer can have their separate dashboard and a NOC view, allowing them to instantly check the statuses of their devices at a glance, including active and down statuses. They can even create custom monitors and generate alarms and traps based on the traps.
I am doing a POC for ManageEngine Applications Manager, but not working with Applications Manager specifically.
We have done a POC for the Vulnerability Manager with Endpoint Central security edition.
We have done a POC for the Firewall Analyzer and are currently doing one POC for one of our customers here.
What is most valuable?
Those products including EventLog Analyzer and Password Manager are part of the implementations we are currently doing.
I work with ServiceDesk Plus, AD Self-Service Plus, and Password Manager Pro.
For Password Manager Pro, I have been working nearly one year, but with ServiceDesk Plus, Endpoint Central, ManageEngine OpManager, and AD Suite, I have worked for more than four to five years.
What needs improvement?
One challenge in ManageEngine OpManager is that improvements are needed because a customer using the solution has Check Point firewall and needs to monitor their VPN tunnels, but there is no option currently available for that.
The Check Point VPN issue has been around for a longer time. They have not yet developed this scenario, but they have mentioned it's on their roadmap with no ETA.
We need the feature request related to Check Point to be implemented in ManageEngine OpManager for better functionality.
Automation workflow is not heavily utilized by customers; they mainly use automated notifications when a device or any monitor is down.
For how long have I used the solution?
I am involved with Password Manager Pro.
For Password Manager Pro, I have been working nearly one year, but with ServiceDesk Plus, Endpoint Central, ManageEngine OpManager, and AD Suite, I have worked for more than four to five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Apart from the main problem mentioned, ManageEngine OpManager is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I see it as a very scalable product.

How would you rate customer service and support?
What was our ROI?
I do see some return on investment.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing for ManageEngine OpManager is good and negotiable with the distributor; they provide us with the best support.
What other advice do I have?
If ManageEngine has questions about my review, they can reach me via email to confirm something.
I would be a reference for ManageEngine as a vendor.
I cannot answer how the topology maps are beneficial because I'm only doing the implementation, not the monitoring part; the customers would need to respond to that.
I can provide feedback from clients if I have some.
The situation with ManageEngine OpManager is the same as with Audit Plus; they generally have it on-premises.
Clients are going cloud for Endpoint Central, but for networking, most government and private institutions prefer on-premise solutions due to security concerns.
I currently have training.
The customer, LankaPay, is crucial as they have the payment gateway from all leading banks in Sri Lanka, and monitoring their payments gateways in banks is urgent and important for them.
I rate ManageEngine OpManager 9 out of 10.
