Facilitates efficient branching and integration with flexible workflow management
Bitbucket Server excels as a versioning system, effectively managing branching and code integration. It provides flexibility, allowing teams to customize workflows according to their specific needs. We maintain a master branch for production and separate branches for different features, which makes it easier to manage code changes. Additionally, its integration with Jenkins pipelines for automating builds and performing various checks enhances its utility.

Pros

"It has a nice user experience to review PRs and provides great pipeline features, integrating well with other Atlassian products."
"The product's initial setup phase experience was good."
"Git is Bitbucket's most valuable feature."
"I find Bitbucket's branching, pull requests, and branch mergers very valuable."
"We have approximately 300 to 400 users using this solution. Our whole organization uses it. I rate the scalability of Bitbucket an eight out of ten."
"The product's most valuable feature is output backup."
"The setup of Bitbucket is simple."
"Bitbucket works fine for what I'm doing. It's slightly different from GitHub, but it's a good tool for storing code."
"The most valuable feature is that it has its own pipelines."
"I believe it's user-friendly for our developers, and it's effective in terms of traceability for tracking our actions."
"The most valuable feature of the Bitbucket Server is its ease of management. The solution is easy to manage once we migrate and set up the data. The solution offers a fast code push feature."
"It is an easily scalable solution."
"It is an amazingly stable solution."
"Integration of Bitbucket with JIRA & Bamboo is well done by Atlassian."
"The tool makes pushing codes and setting up CI/CD pipelines easy."
"Bitbucket Server supports code collaboration by providing commands developers can use to check in code. Through comments, developers can specify the purpose of the code check-in. Additionally, Bitbucket allows tagging of code for releases."

Cons

"There is room for improvement in the workflow. Other similar tools offer automation and more streamlined workflows, which Bitbucket currently lacks."
"The product could be less expensive for small companies."
"I would like to see the integration with some of the cloud service providers improved."
"Even with the automation, we've had some situations where we've had mistakes. They've integrated things into the wrong place, so there's a fairly steep learning curve."
"Bitbucket could improve pipeline building and deployment. Our deployments are not using the Bitbucket. Deployments we are going through Azure DevOps, but the integration is happening in Bitbucket."
"The installation of Bitbucket on our server was not as easy as other Atlassian products, so it is something that can be improved."
"Sometimes we struggle with searching on repositories. It is a bit challenging sometimes to pinpoint the code or repositories when just filtering by repositories."
"The UI could be a little better compared to competing solutions."
"The platform's integration with other cloud services should be improved."
"The product requires patching and version improvements. Some functions do not work properly when we move from one version to another. We need a technical improvement. Also, communicating with other Atlassian products becomes cumbersome when we move from one version to another. I want Bitbucket Server to include a dashboard similar to Jira's. Atlassian must also develop a tool to scan our complete base for vulnerabilities."
"We opted for the on-premises solution, and while it's quite expensive, I believe there's room for improvement in terms of pricing."
"The user experience is tedious and long-winded. It could also be smoother from an admin's perspective."
"The response time of the product's support team may not be good enough to meet the expectations of users, making it an area where improvements are required."
"The UI could be enhanced."
"Currently, the interface could benefit from a more sophisticated code viewing option."
"The product's initial setup phase is complex."

"The platform offers a free version for public repositories, which benefits open-source projects."
